History

Established in 2010.

My name is Ricki Carr — founder of Back to Basics Holistic Healing. I am a partner to the most supportive man and the mother of two crazy kiddos that understands the often underestimated healing power of a natural and holistic healing approach.

Just recently relocating here to the Olympic Peninsula I can not wait to build beautiful healing relationships in this wonderful area. I have lived in several different areas of the country each with their own unique culture, beliefs, and offerings.

I was lucky enough to reside in Humboldt county for a little over 4 years giving me the perfect opportunity to gain so many of the tools I felt I needed to become a holistic practitioner. I received my massage therapy licensing through the Arcata School of Massage in Arcata CA. As well as Aromatherapy training provided by Essential 3. In addition, I received my doula training in Redding CA with The Doula Alliance.

Many Doulas are thought of to be advocates for pregnant and laboring mothers. I strive to be an advocate for the choices in birth and empower mothers to advocate for themselves. My goal is to support birthing families in finding there own voice by shining a light on their inner power. I do not advocate for you during birth, but rather help you to advocate for YOURSELF.
