As the Ponte Vedra community slowly becomes like Bocas Raton, it’s becoming common to experience poor customer service. The cashier said she was too busy to ring the red fresh beets seperate from the golden beets so she charged for the higher golden beets. Very common in this store. Gone are the friendly locals.

I prefer this location because the staff is nicer and more welcoming and helpful. Their prices are ALOT better than whole foods. For some items I believe by 30%! Whole foods does have a larger selection of items but doesn’t feel like a quaint and organic market like fresh market When I am in fresh market I feel like everything is local, fresh and a higher grade than Publix. Their bakery is awesome ! They have every French pastry you can think of and I enjoy their carrot cake too ! They sell LVP sangria They have GREAT specials Tuesday Fridays and Sunday’s ! Also wine tastings on the weekends. Check it out !!

The Fresh Market is a poor grocery market. One of the reasons is their employees. It is clear that nobody wants to work there or takes any pride in their job. You feel like you have to bother someone to help you and they treat you like am interaction versus a person. For the prices I would expect better. For this review I am sure that I will think twice before ever going in there again. The prepared food has dropped in quality. I don’t trust it anymore. The checkout set up is bizarre and the personality to the customer experience is downright poor. I feel bad about writing this reive but it is well deserved.

Love the Fresh Market! It’s like the boutique of grocery stores! The parking lot is pretty big and spacious. They have an olive bar and various meats, cheese, pre made entrees and sides, cereals, pastas and sauces and an amazing dessert and baked breads section! The customer service here is top notch, I mean come on this is Ponte Vedra!

Went to Fresh Market to grab some lunch … not to shop for groceries. They had a fairly good list of sandwiches and even had fresh made sushi. I walked around a little while I waited for the sandwiches to be made. They had a nice deli with a lot of prepared meals. They also had a bunch of fresh baked cookies, pastries, and breads. Took our lunch to go … pretty darn tasty. Bonus — ALL of the different bulk barrels of snacks on the way out. I swear I could’ve grabbed a handful of wasabi peas or at least some chocolate covered almonds. Maybe next visit …

Fresh Market moved several years ago into a bigger store, just one strip mall over from where they were before. Definitely love the bigger layout. While price-wise they’re still on the higher end of what I like to spend, I do venture in here from time to time for that specialty item that I can’t find at one of the other grocers in the area. They’re bulk holiday blend coffee is some of my favorite. Can’t wait to pick up some more very soon. Every now & then they have ‘taste of the season parties’ where they have several tasting stations set up through the store. It’s fun to go and get inspired for that(maybe one day I have to cook) holiday meal.

I love the Fresh Market in Ponte Vedra Beach with one exception… many people either live as a couple or a single around here and yet the prepackeged hamburg rolls are for eight people. Why can’t they sell just one or two hamburg rolls rather than throwing out seven rolls. Makes you want to stand in the front of the store and see if anyone wants the ones I’m throwing out… Just irritating I guess.

I love the atmosphere at Fresh Market: so calming and relaxing. I always get a sample of coffee to sip while I shop. Sometimes, I even get a sample of wine to sip while I shop! Prices are higher than your typical market, but they have many specialty items you can’t find other places. If you monitor their sale offers, you can get better quality for the same price as other stores. I shop here occasionally for special items, but do the bulk of my shopping elsewhere. Produce here is fresh and high quality. Many organic offerings are available. They also have a good selection of gluten free items in their grocery aisles. The deli offers a wide selection of delicious entrees and side items. Salads are great here as well. The meat and seafood department is clean and displayed nicely. I love their crab cakes and their gourmet burgers, filled with mushrooms or cheese. Fresh Market is a pleasurable shopping experience.

Wow, this location is SO much nicer than the one on Atlantic Blvd. The fruit was fresher, the store not as jammed with people, and the staff was much friendlier. I wish we lived closer, I would be here every weekend!

Really warming up to this place and starting to «cheat» on Publix for a good portion of my grocery shopping. I still have to go to both though. I tried Fresh Market after having some awesome shopping experience at Whole Foods in Orlando. I was looking for something similar in the area and our Whole Foods is a bit far. Fresh Market is smaller, darker set up, but quite classy I would say. Shopping with classical music on the background :) Some of the vegetables and fruits are actually priced along the same line as Publix, but do look and taste way nicer. I haven’t yet tried the seafood and meat, because I am quite happy with what I get at Publix, but eventually I probably will.

extremely expensive but you usually get the good stuff, I am not a fan of their prepared foods, the butcher, fish and produce bakery are far above average

This is my second trip to a Fresh Market… first one to this location in Ponte Vedra Beach. I really like the prepared food selections… they generally seem to be missing this at most of the local Publix markets. They have a great selection of meats and seafood… but you definitely pay a premium to buy it here. Fresh Market(in my opinion) had one of the NICEST bakery cases in the Jacksonville area… OMG! The cake selection is amazing! I have not actually tried any of it… but visual appeal alone is 5 stars! They also have a nice bread selection, and of course the fresh produce. It’s a really nice upscale market. Its definitely not the sort of place I would shop at routinely… but on occasion its nice to indulge.

I really want to like Fresh Market, but I confess, I compare it to Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods so it’s probably never going to win. To me, it seems like Fresh Market is trying to squeeze between those two stalwarts, but it just doesn’t work. The prepared foods at Fresh Market almost always lack on taste and usually my wife and I feel sick after eating them. Fresh Market sells pretty good produce, but it’s basically the same quality as Publix. I’d get my produce at Whole Foods, but it’s too far away from my home. Trader Joes has better prices and selection on wine. Even at Whole Foods, you can find very good wines on sale. Will I go back? Probably for stuff like milk and snacks, but that’s it.

Great meat and seafood selection and the butchers are always helpful. There is an amazing selection of prepared and hot foods which come in very handy when you don’t want to cook. Good looking produce and they have a floral department along with an expansive bakery and decent wine selection.

Yay! I love everything about the Fresh Market. Shopping there is an experience, not just grocery shopping. It’s the place for foodies to find specialty ingredients and the freshest produce and best meats around. I only wish they would improve their cheese selection. Happy to see they added Cow Girl Creamery to the mix.

You won’t find a broad assortment of cleaning supplies, but they do sell black AND white truffle laced butter. If you’re shopping for one, you probably aren’t interested in the other anyway so it pretty much works out. Also, each of the last three times I’ve been to this place a different stock boy has told me that I smell nice. Although it’s true, I really do smell nice, I think they might have had a little coaching on that in the«we give out compliments not coupons» customer service class. There are two grocery stores in Ponte Vedra. There is «You Smell Nice» and there is «Paper or Plastic.» Not a tough decision.

This place looks like someone tried to copy Whole Foods, but couldn’t afford enough lighting. It’s dim in there, especially coming in from the Florida sun. Their produce is quite lovely(even if some of the signs marked the vegetables as coming from«USA» or «Holland», yes, with the quotes), but inconsistent. The tomatoes you buy one day may be rotten in your kitchen the next, and sometimes you get home with a lovely onion but when you cut it open it’s all black and gooey inside. And as a vegetarian, my major complaint: virtually no tofu-type-stuff. I know most people in Ponte Vedra Beach don’t miss it, but seriously, only 1 brand of tofu, and only firm and silken available? No fake-sausage? No fake-lunchmeat? Even Publix has a broad selection. I’m also not sure what the huge candy selection has to do with anything.

Northern Florida is a little behind when it comes to the high end grocery store craze. I am embracing the fact that this is as good as it gets here in the Bible Belt, ehh. That being said, let me begin… I’m not sure if it is the classical music playing, the dim lighting, the cute little push baskets(big enough only for French-style day to day grocery shopping), or a combination thereof, that makes me say«yes I NEED that $ 35 bottle of white truffle oil.»(I didn’t even have a recipie in mind…) If a grocery store had a trust fund and took Prozac, this would be it. I come here for groceries when I am having a dinner party, otherwise, it is Publix for me. It’s just too expensive for the basics– produce, soy milk, juice, etc-so I come only for certain special ingredients. I do, however, buy all my meats here, very fresh.

I automatically deducted a star because when I went to look up the address to this location, their corporate website still listed their old location! The PVB Fresh Market is at the corner of A1A and ATP Blvd, just past Sawgrass. It is in the old Harris Teeter location. It’s larger than its sister location in Mandarin. While this is not a place I shop everyday(as it is pricey), it is my go-to place for special ingredients. This includes excellent beef(filets and even their premade skewers), chicken(they have a variety of prestuffed chickens ready to cook), produce and cheese. I find their prices a little better than Whole Foods and since it is right by my work, it is easy to stop in on my way home. Sometimes I will drop in to pick up cookies from their AMAZING cookie section for my co-workers. They are delicious and always fresh!
