Stingers Bar & Grill

We ordered a pizza, fish tacos, and two salads. Everything was delicious. The only problem I had was when I placed the order they told me it would be a half hour to 45 minutes. After an hour I gave them a call and they said it was on it’s way. Our order arrived at about an hour and five minutes. My fish tacos were lukewarm. The pizza cooled just enough that it was ready to eat even though my fish tacos were cool they still tasted good so it was more like a cold sandwich wrap but it was still yummy. I just wish they were more accurate with the delivery time. I would’ve been fine waiting an hour I just wish they would’ve told me about an hour.

We were looking for a place to eat close to our resort & decided to check out Stingers. The first strike came when we were trying to decide whether we wanted to sit outside or inside. Evidently we were in the waitress’ way. Instead of pleasantly saying «excuse me, folks», she blurted out «excuse me», definitely making it known we were in her way. Per the restaurant sign, which indicated to seat yourself, we found a seat outside. A tip was still on the table; however, it was the only booth open outside & we figured it was ok to sit. We were not planning on stealing her tip. Once the waitress saw us seated, she approached us with a frustrated look & an «uh, ok guys…» And quickly took the tip left on the table & grumbled something about still having to wipe down the table. Next, I heard her complaining to the table behind us & pointing our way — strike 2! When she came back to our table, I asked her if we were not supposed to sit here. I don’t remember the exact words she said, but it was evident she was not happy with us. We have never experienced this type of service at a restaurant. We felt as if we were an inconvenience & not welcome. Strike 3! We got up & left! It’s a shame we never even experienced the food — it may have been really good. Employees can make or break a business. This waitress definitely didn’t help Stingers’ ratings. We ended up dining at a nice Irish pub that had great service & great food!

I’ve been to this bar about 5 times. It is not really a hotspot. You can’t go to this bar and expect to get laid. After drinking here, you’ll just end up ordering a pizza, go home, and Redtube it up. The owners often gives free drinks to seniors. He did not give one to me, but I am not a regular.

Stumbled upon Stingers due to its location across the street from the Royal Vista — what a find! Delicious, hot food, with fast friendly service! Roast beef dip was yummy, the Bee Burger was HUGE and fries were hot & crispy!

I have mixed feelings about this place. The food is usually very good and the service is usually pretty poor. Just got breakfast, after the waitress dropped off my food (which was very good) never saw a waitress again until I had stacked my plates up in front of me in a desprate attempt to get more coffee. And then it wasn’t my server, another one who felt sorry for me I think.
This place needs to get it’s staff in order. I have came in here more than once to see a gaggle of servers happily shooting the breeze, gossiping about this one or the other while I sit and wait for service. Then it’s right back to the new gossip.
I come here because it’s close to my house and the food is good and reasonably priced.
I wouldn’t go out of my way though.

This place can definitely be hit or miss on food and service. We used to love the pizza there but find its not as good as it used to be. Sometimes when you call in the staff isn’t very friendly. They also have a pretty steep up charge on delivery. We live about a mile from this place and were charged $ 5 when we ordered two burgers to be delivered. Obviously we were feeling very lazy that day… It can be a good spot for having a drink or two.

Love this place for late night drinks. It’s close to where I stay in when I’m in Pompano — literally walking distance — and the vibe is very relaxed. On a side note, they also make very decent pizza.

Stingers has been around for 21 years, you will find a mix of neighborhood locals and tourists from the Hotels across the street. Stingers is a sports bar/​greasy spoon. Their specialty is Pizza and wings which are ok, they have a large menu and offer daily specials and themed nights, most of the food is mediocre and very greasy. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor tables and the bar is large also with indoor and outdoor seating, there are plenty of TV’s to watch sports. Service is mostly friendly but can be hit or miss. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner and are open late.

Came with my wife for a drink, place was almost empty except for one patron, ordered a beer and a glass of wine for her, house merlot. Bill came to $ 10.25? $ 4.25 for a coors light and $ 6 for a glass of cheap ass house wine, you have to be kidding me, the store next door had barefoot for $ 9 a bottle, only reason I gave 2 stars is because the Phillies were on

A truly awful dining experience I was seated within 15 minutes with no one in sight, waited about 45 minutes for just chicken tenders and chicken wings as we sat there waiting The waitress and manager were arguing in front of us and other customers about wages and hours once the food finally arrived the tasteless seem to be frozen Tyson chicken tenders were horrid and the chicken wings were not up to par and the fries came out five minutes after the wings and tenders had arrived very terrible I do not recommend this dump. Havent eaten somewhere so bad in a couple years, i would of preferred mcdonalds.

Stopped here on April 13, around 10:30am for breakfast. Staying at nearby timeshare on S. Ocean Blvd. To save any suspense about my thoughts on Stingers Café, let’s just say I won’t be back for any other meals.
First off, service was poor. Waited about 35 minutes for 2 blueberry pancakes and coffee. Pancakes were ok, but nothing to write home about. Price was high – bill came to $ 9.50 for just the pancakes and coffee – nothing else. Waitresses seemed annoyed. Service was very poor and they were not busy. Lots of other places in immed. area for breakfast. Try Ihop or Denny’s, about 2 miles away. I won’t be getting «stung» again at Stingers.

I recently moved to the Pompano Beach, FL area and found a small local restaurant called Stingers right down the street from my house. Stingers is a relaxed fun place. Great barfood including wings and burgers. But my favorite is the hand tossed pizza, .it rocks. .!!

What originally caught my attention was that they served breakfast daily and I’ve made this my new spot, no frills experience with friendly service, excellent food and reasonable prices. This is Pompanos best kept secret!

Great pizza! The owner is formally from Michigan, so expect a little Detroit flavor to the atmosphere. Outside seating at the bar is great. Stop by for the Lions game!

I went to this restaurant with my girl while back. I was driving by the area and recalled my superb experience there. The waitress took a while to bring the pizza. I sat at the table facing the parking lot.
The place seems little run down but, the the pizza was really delicious. We ordered a pie and ate the whole pizza between us two. And I had wings, can’t recall what type tho.

Horrible service. Couldnt tell you about the food because we never received any. Me & my fiancé got there around 10:30am for breakfast. We were told we could sit wherever we wanted. Picked a seat outdoors. Fiancé ordered corned beef hash & eggs and I ordered biscuits & gravy. More than 45 min later, we’ve received nothing but our drinks. Left a couple bucks on the table for the drinks & walked out. It wasn’t busy by any means… inexcusable.

It’s really 3 businesses, the bar is pretty good with good looking ladies working there, but it’s no hot spot.
The pizza is not good and is pretty lame.
The breakfast was pretty good and priced right.

BEST PIZZA IN TOWN!
When you walk in it’s your normal bar/​restaurant feel. Located in pompano.
A group of us went to hear the band that plays there (the piano guy happens to be one of my bosses).
At first we went in and sat down. The waitress approached us within 10 mins of being there. It was two waitress for the bar and tables. She took our drink orders and came pretty fast. The band consist of a lead singer and a pianist. I know you would find it weird since it’s a bar settings, but DONT cause they were amazing.
The atmosphere is great, the music is awesome.
After a few drinks we decided to get a few plates. We ordered wings and pizza for a party of ten. We got three orders of plain/​BBQ/​spicy wings plus two cheese and pepperoni pizza’s. The food was PHENOMENAL! All plates were empty after 20 mins into eating.
The band plays great songs, both singers alternate and play the piano/​saxophone/​guitar/​piano/​harmonica. TRUELY TALENTED !
If you’re In the area go spend some time at Stingers!

Great pizza and Philly Cheese Steak Egg rolls!!! It’s a «stone’s throw» from the beach.

Our waitress kindly said the kitchen was backed up due to carryout orders. Why wouldnt sit– down customers come first? Anyway, after what felt like waiting forever we got up and left. Still hungry. They only have bottle beers and they are not cheap.
Theres lots of other restaurants to try.

Stayed at the Beachcomber during my stay in Pompano Beach and either ordered food for delivery or at in for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Our friends had their wedding catered by Stingers and the prime rib was excellent. All food was great. Service was impeccable every time. The owner and everyone is super friendly. Order for delivery or eat in at Stingers. You won’t be disappointed.
