An eclectically decorated pub along the shore where locals come to listen to the jam bands. The food is ok for pub food but definitely not the reason to stop by. If you want to talk and hear your table mates go somewhere else because the space is pretty small. Great service and wide selection of beer.

I either have a much higher tolerance to alcohol than I thought, or ordered the wrong drink(but they didn’t have mojitos), or went on an off day but of l the two rummy drinks I ordered and paid $ 7 each none gave me the slightest buzz. Ironically enough, $ 7 is the cost of regular smoothies that an ice cream truck was selling on the beach(things that make ya go hmm). Since architecturally Briny Pub looked like one of my favorite chain Irish pubs, and some fellow Unilocalers liked it, I was hoping for some good beachside grub. I ordered their chicken sandwich with BBQ sauce and crinkly fries. They did customize out the picked and Cole slaw. It was decent, the chicken juicy and bacon crispy. It could have used a little more sauce though. Being on Memorial Weekend staycation, I figured I’d enjoy my chicken sandwich with a mojito. Unfortunately they didn’t have it, or a rum old fashioned(though they claimed to have a full bar, just not mojitos). I figured I’d at least settle for a Piña colada. While served up nicely with an orange slice, it tasted Virgin. with no hint of rum. Ditto for the(no) Rum Runner. I guess if I go again I’ll just settle for a beer.

Beach dive bar. Expect more and you will be disappointed. Come in for real good bar food and Irish food, and a few cold beers, and you will be thrilled! Great local pub. Wings, sherpards pie, and burgers are all good. Real nice and fun staff. Definitely a go to place!

I haven’t been here for several years, but I had a thirst for a Guinness so I stopped in. The only negative is it’s super loud. That’s just me, but if you like it loud, you’ll love the Briny. Good food, nice bartenders.

I love dive bars and Briny is one of my local favorites. Never had any issues and they usually have some good bands playing. Pandia was playing Saturday night and they rocked. The place was jam packed. Too much fun. I cant comment on the food as I only come here for the drinks, music and a fun time.

We have been coming down to Pompano Beach for 10 years and this is one of my favorite spots to hit. Everyone is always friendly, it’s not smokey and the food is always great. The fish and chips are the best. The key lime pie is good too. It gets busy in the evenings, especially if the have a band there so I recommend going s little early and having a few drinks until the band goes on. Right on the beach with street parking and a couple lost. Next to the building.

It’s a hit or miss… Dolphin fingers are delicious, draft beer is what it is… Interior is very small, noisy, and has almost displaced feel. Locals nod off at the bar, tourists plan their next adventure. It’s a dive disguised as a Irish Pub. Three strikes and your out Briny…

Great place right off the beach for a casual lunch. I had their grilled chicken sandwich as well as a Guinness on tap. Delicious food, «briny» décor, good service and great jukebox all add up to a nice experience. P. S. This song, playing during our lunch, will give you an idea of the overall vibe (some of the patrons even started to dance…)

After coming to pompano beach these past two months and passing Briny’s each time we decided to try it. The place is very very welcoming and we were made to feel right at home. Our Irish waitress Goritza was lovely. I ordered the mahi which was fresh and succulent. My husband had the grilled chicken. We both finished every drop Try it out you will not be disappointed.

gh now this place is a party bombardi! I didn’t see a a single milk dud in here. Although everyone inside is white, I didn’t see any peckerwoods or dirty foots. My friends weren’t white, but it’s all good. We saw a group of four white chicks at that brewery down the road, and we happened to run into them here. I asked if they could take our picture, and one of them obliged. That was the end of our discussion. Just don’t want to be thirsty and shit ya feel? Not trying to be so YO Cool! gh This one dut approached them, but he had swag for being ambitious and stuff. Even though I had a few drinks, I didn’t feel socially lubricated enough to spit game, or lack thereof. How much were the beers? Maybe like 4 bucks for the cheapest ones. Oh yeah the cover band here sucked. The tried to play«My Own Worst Enemy» by Lit. Sorry it just wasn’t good. This is a good place to do a benji. I also can’t fade«Livin‘ on a Prayer.»

Ducked in to meet Spencer and enjoy some holiday cheer and it was a fine time, here’s why: * Our blondie bartender rocked * Met Gary and Loretta, they are regulars * Met Brian and Ryan, they are bartenders This place is a beach-front dive bar in an area that is quickly gentrifying and subsequently becoming more expensive. So get there soon, and get some before its gone. The ceiling is akin to a nautical bric-à-brac themed museum. Good stuff. Personality. Tenure. Ambiance. I dig it. Cabeza OUT!

Great spot during the day to catch a bite to eat and a drink or two or three… Right across from the beach, the location is ideal. I stopped in for the first time the other day with a friend. Fish and Chips and a few beers were our orders. The fish and french fries were tasty and plenty of it. So much so my friend and I shared the meal. And I guess are waitress was eye ballin us, because she charged us a $ 2 sharing charge. It’s only 2 bucks but c’mon man/woman! This is not a premium buffet or endless pasta we‘re talkin about. But rather a local watering hole down by the beach… I let it slide as I was in a good mood. It was only $ 2, but the bad principle left a poor taste. Moving on… Briny’s appeared to be mainly a local hangout. A local band hits a tiny tiny stage around 930pm on weekends. Nothing fancy, actually a beach dive bar, but serves a much needed purpose along the beach. Cold drinks and decent pub food hit the spot here. Just watch out if you share a fry with a friend. That will be $ 2 sir lol.

Outstanding British Pub on the corner of a main location. Good location. I was wandering around and couldn’t find anything decent to have a beer with some grub. Saw the sushi place next door, but thought perhaps sushi in FL is nothing like sushi on the west coast. Saw the pub and a lightbulb flashed because as soon as I saw the menu, haaa a corned beef Reuben would hit the spot! Man, that Reuben had thick slabs of corned beef!!! Not much gristle! Washed down with a cold Blue Moon. The only negative about the beer selection was only 1IPA. Meh I’d rather pass on Goose Island IPA. They should try investing in a couple IPAs. But hey it was a good visit. Staff was cool. I guess maybe I hit it at a good time because I can see this place being packed wall-to-wall, and thus, my experience wouldn’t have been as great. But hey, benefit of the doubt.

I only stopped in here for a quick drink before heading to the beach across the street, but this bar certainly serves it’s purpose as a place to grab a cocktail. We arrived around lunch time on a Friday and although they weren’t busy by any means there were a few around the bar. The bartender offered us food menus, but we placed our orders only for drinks, both ordering a vodka lemonade. The bartenders were friendly and talkative, though we were positioned behind the beer taps, so it wasn’t easy for them to notice when it was time for a refill, so that required a little flagging down. Our second round we ordered from a different bartender, same vodka lemonade. This bartender asked our first bartender«what did you use for lemonade?» I was initially a little worried, because we had been served vodka lemonade as our first drink, and if not lemonade, what was it? The other bartender replied that she used sprite with a little sour mix and a little cranberry(that explains the pink lemonade). After it became clear that I was drinking actual bar ingredients I actually have to commend them on the«lemonade’. It tasted great and they were able to fill my request despite ordering something they didn’t have. I’m going to keep this combo in mind to order at other bars without lemonade. I found this Briny location to be a little cleaner than the one on the river in Ft Lauderdale, but they also don’t have to deal with an outside bar here. It’s a little dark inside, but it serves as a nice cool spot to relax after a hot day at the beach. Drink prices are a little high for the size of the drink, but I think coming during happy hour specials would remedy that issue.

Came here while on vacation. It was walking distance from our condo, so we thought, why not. I honestly wasn’t expecting much, but I was wrong to think that. I really loved this place! Pretty small, but has a great homey feel. Like everyone knows each other. And they play great music, so that’s a plus. To eat, I had the fish and chips. Probably the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. I really loved it. Perfect batter to fish ratio. Super tasty tartar sauce served along side it. I wish I would’ve taken a picture! My boyfriend got a cheeseburger, of course. But he said he really liked it! I would definitely come back to this spot for a night of drinking with some friends if I was ever in town again. Looks like a fun place to spend a whole night.

Wait, how did I forget to review this place? We were here every couple of weeks for the half-year we were in the area, and I totally forgot to add it to my To Review list… For the most part, it seems to be a 50 – 50 mix of tourists and beachy locals– all a little sunburnt and raucous. The staff is typically super friendly, although they can get a little behind when it gets busy(the kitchen, in particular). It is our favorite place in town for a mahi sandwich, and the token Irish specialties like the bangers and the stew(which are about the only things that make it an Irish bar) are great. They manage to squeeze in some live music on the weekends, which completely fills the room up both physically and acoustically. It can get a little noisy even without a band, so it’s not the best place for an intimate date or dinner with your hard-of-hearing grandparents. But it is a perfect spot for a beverage and a large serving of food after a long day of whatever.

I love being a local. born and raised in LBS… I consider this part of my hometown! Settled in to spot number two the Briney. Brian took care of us. they even have live music. I broke a chair and laughed a lot and met some fun couple… the place has a good local vibe and the more I drink the more friendlier the people seem!!! Lotta fun for pompano. .I really had a great time making friends and enjoying the evening out! Got chicken marsala for dad and we are stopping for pizza for us. Brineys a little locals spot right on atlantic blvd and a1a. its a no smoking establishment and they have GREAT food!

I always love trying new places when I’m traveling. I asked my driver to drop me off at the beach, and he stopped right in front of Briny Irish Pub. After a nice walk on the beach, I headed back and figured I might as well give it a try. it looked decent, had some pretty good reviews, and had beer. Since it was open seating, I grabbed a table towards the back of the place. Our server came over immediately and took our drink orders and gave us time to look over the menu. I asked what the fish sandwich special was, and was super excited when she told me it was Mahi Mahi. I ordered it and asked for her recommendation on how to have it. blackened or grilled. I went with her suggestion of having it lightly blackened, which was definitely the way to go. The sandwich came open faced on a bun that was way too small for it, so I focused on the fish and ignored the bun. Absolutely delicious. Even though they have more than one location, this was definately a locals kind of place where you can get great food at a decent price. and it’s right by the beach!

Local pubs can be petty bad, and sometimes a little better than that. But it’s hard to find a solid bar right along A1A. Briny’s is better than most. It is popular with locals, and I would guess that tourists find it to be pretty good too. The bars keeps are plenty friendly, as is th crowd. Often there is love music set up in the back of the bar. Decent acts, and not so loud that it overwhelms the possibility for conversation as well Drinks are priced right. And they make a good margarita. It seems like you can say that about just about any place on the beach though right? It has a low ceiling compared to newer pubs and had a ton of odds and ends strung up so if your claustrophobic it can feel smaller than it is. But that is probably one of the only negatives. That and the lack of large windows to let in the outside light. There isn’t a better local bar type place within many miles so if in the area this is the place you want to stop in at
