S & J Towing Service

Got picked up by Jim for S & J Towing after calling AAA; Jim was awesome! Jim was really friendly and polite. He went out of his way to find an open tire shop that carried the size tire I needed for my car (it being a Sunday I really appreciated him doing this). I could not be any happier with the service!

I want to thank Omar for being so kind & polite. He came & replaced my battery quickly. Thank you again.

The company arrived on time to replace my battery via AAA. Unfortunately, I discovered one year later that they installed the wrong size. The new battery was dead in 13 month. Make sure you verify they have installed the correct size. AAA had no record of the purchase and the date sticker on the battery was incorrect. Be sure to save your warranty and double check their work if they are your only option.

This place is a joke. My mom got into a car accident and was rushed to the hospital, so ppd called these thieves to pick her car up. I say thieves because 3 days later when she was better and able to go see her car and the damage, she was shocked to find out a nice leather bag with personal belongings was stolen, a car charger, my nieces baby seat and some toys… What kind of scum steals a baby seat and toys. This really pissed me off. I have yet to go over there and raise hell. But if you like your personal belongings to be stolen. By all means use this piece of shit towing company. Only reason why I picked 1 star is because I had to in order to post, I would of picked zero stars.

Monty was trying to rip us off with giving us the wrong infomation and saying that it’s cheaper to tow the car to their yard which he said the insurance will cover it which didnt. And said AAA did not cover for the tow to our house.
Please don’t do any service with them they will just take advantage of you.

I just got the best assistance from Mark. Mark was able to show me how to get my car back and running super quick and is very nice and pleasant. What an asset to your company! Thank you, Mark!

I wanna thank Omar and Vincent for excellent service I’ve received today.
Omar came out after only a 10 minute wait. Per AAA, it was determined it might be my battery. Omar was kind and courteous. And did an analysis that determined it wasn’t the battery, alternator or starter. He quickly called for the flat bed to have my car towed to El Monte Pepboys, close to home. He waited with me for the flat bed. 15 minutes later Vincent arrived… Another awesome employee of S&J Towing! Vincent was not only kind and courteous, but also very professional. He was careful with my car. He definitely knows his business.
I highly recommend S&J towing! These two guys really made a bad situation bearible…
Keep up the great work Omar and Vincent.

great towing service… will use again!

I got towed throught AAA yesterday and I was pick up by shit and jerks towing I can’t belive that AAA has this crappy company working for them. I THINK I MIGHT CANCEL MY AAA ACCOUNT. The trucks are old and cappy no ac they smoke in the trucks they all act like they are the best with 1980s trucks wow so sad broke as company.

I had no choice in encountering this horrible company as the police called them after an accident. Their driver was very nice. But at the tow yard their employees don’t care about you and any of your concerns. The manager is extremely poor in customer service which sets a tone for this company’s culture. He is extremely rude and abrasive. I was quoted one price on the phone and he up charged the price arbitrarily once I got there. Very rude man.
If you do business with them you will suffer. You have been warned. I for one will never see them again.

This place towed my car from a parking lot on a Saturday, and has no one available to release it until Monday (even though they pick up the phone). They conveniently tack on another day’s worth of storage fees even though it is literally impossible to pick up your car. SCAM!

If this company responded to a tow call, I would call AAA and ask them to send someone else. Would NEVER want these people touching my car!!!

Got my car stuck and felt like crying but triple A sent these guys and they got there super quick. I didn’t get the guys name but he was super helpful and tried to make sure my car got out with the least amount of damage. He made sure my car was

A driver from this company, truck with Lic#SNJ3 cut me off at an intersection of Orange Grove and Fairplex so I honked at him he stopped in the middle of the road stuck half his body out of the window he yelled at me told me very rude things he also cursed at me and stuck the middle finger at me! He also ran a red light on Orange Grove and Glen! This is not professional what so ever! I feel sorry for the silver Honda Civic it was on top of the flat bed! If this is the way the drivers act I can imagine how they treat their customers I would never want to use their services!

Horrible service. Drivers act as if they are doing a favor. Vehicle was towed to shop, and left in the middle of garage and left. Blocked the whole parking lot. What a jerk

Is less than one star possible. As I sit in my car waiting for a 2^nd tow company to arrive I will share my review. My family is 38 year premier AAA alumni.
I have an older vehicle that was out of registration due to smog. I was able to get my smog done and my water pump went out. I contacted AAA from home in Orange County to arrange a tow from the smog shop in Pomona to my house so I could replace the water pump. S@j arrived at my vehicle and told me that due to the registration they could not tow without me there. I felt like the driver was trying to grease me for a tip. I asked what my options were. He said if I drive out to Pomona and rode with him he would be legally able to tow my car. I confirmed this with AAA and agreed. I picked up my brother and we drove my other car to Pomona. When I arrived I called AAA to reset the appointment and be available to ride with the driver.
This is when S & J screwed me over. They refused to come out to tow my car! Even though I was now with my car and have a valid movement permit. AAA had to scramble to find another company. What a joke!!! These guys wanted a tip, didn’t get one offered then refused service after I did everything they asked of me.
Now I’m waiting an extra hour for another company. Beware AAA members S&J are scam artists and AAA will be reviewing my complaint. Hopefully they will remove the AAA benefit from the crooks @ S&J!!!

These guys may display the AAA logo on their trucks but don’t represent AAA well. Their agenda is to look for any questionable reason to deny you service under your AAA membership then offer you COD service. This happened to me yesterday in Pomona when trying to get my car towed. These guys aren’t pleasant to deal with.

This was my first time getting my car towed, and it was through AAA. What set me at ease for this time and for my daily commute of 100 miles per day was that he said «don’t worry, we take care of the car as if it were our own.» And he did, and it was very much appreciated. It was really no hassle! The guy, Jim, was very nice and respectful of the car even though it was my daily beater. With that type of service, I felt confident with them even if it were a more expensive car. Even more so, I felt more assured driving this commute on this route.

I was traveling NB on the 57 FWY when a car cut me off. I swerved and ran into the back of a big truck that probably didn’t even stop because he probably feel it. I pulled over safely the shoulder of the freeway. I was near the Diamond Bar Blvd off ramp and my cell phone stopped working because of the accident. I left the car for about 45 minutes to walk to a pay phone to call AAA and a friend to come and help out.
When we got back to the cars location a CHP officer considered the car to be abandoned and since he must be getting paid a kick back by S&J to quickly come and tow away people’s cars, my AAA tow driver had nothing to tow back to La Habra to my auto repair shop.
My car was taken by S&J Towing service on Saturday ⁸⁄₁₁ and would not release it until Monday ⁸⁄₁₃. I find it interesting that they have staff to steal peoples cars on the weekend but conveniently no one to release your car, so they can add more storage charges.
When my car was finally released to my tow company and taken to my repair shop I came by to get all my personal belongings out of the car. During the time my car was in storage some items disappeared from my car. Missing items were a $ 185 Garmin Nevi 50LM GPS registered to me, (but they left the power supply and mounting bracket) $ 15.00 in change and my current Handicap hanging placard.
When I called S&J about the missing items they said the CHP did an inventory and mentioned the GPS mounting bracket, but not the contents of the glove box or center armrest storage where the GPS was located when not in use.
My advise to anyone that is involved in an accident near the 57 fwy and 60 fwy, don’t leave your car unattended or the CHP and S&J towing will rip you off.

Soft music, cruising down freeway, smooth ride… aaah what an awesome day… clear blue skies.
Then the silence is broken as the truck tilts to the right… and I hear plop plop plop plop plop plop plop plop plop.
oooooh my… is that what I think it is? A flat tire.
My cell: Call AAA
AAA: Hello… Triple AAA
My cell: Hi, I gotta flat.
AAA: Are you at home or work.
My cell: I’m on the freeway.
AAA: Are you on right shoulder.
My Cell: Yes
AAA: You’re a priority call… we’ll send someone right out.
My cell: Thank you
So, I start to get my wheel lock, pole for spare, amist the wooshing of traffic and in less then five minutes AAA is already there to help me. Cool, efficient person just took off spare, replaced tire and off I went.
