$ 75 for a squirt of gas to get me off the freeway. I guess you could say that it was literally highway robbery. Guy acted like he was giving me a discount too.

This company charged $ 390 an hour to tow a big rig vehicle 25 miles. It took them 4 hours to tow the vehicle that far. They then threatened to impound the vehicle when the price was stated (and was never stated prior to towing the vehicle). This company is allowed to extort and charge exorbitant prices because they have a deal with the chp. The chp should revoke their deal with this company. Its clear from their Unilocal reviews that they are only interested in ripping off customers who have no other choice. If they charged for water, they would have no problem charging $ 10 for a bottle of water.
In comparison, the same vehicle was towed over 300 miles for $ 1,300.

Scandalous business practice. Called for accurate quote to pick up daughter’s car — she arrived with the quoted amount and when arrived Alfonso had a different price altogether. It’s extortion — make sure you get your information in writing and know who you spoke with.

i mean idk if they dealing with annoying people all day and are just permanently stuck on a-​hole mode but my god! i was in a car accident and was sent in the ambulance so my car was towed which I’m not upset about obviously but i wasn’t at fault. so when i went to pick up my car i had previously called and asked for the price and when i got there it was like a hundred dollars more than they had said. then if you’ve been there you know the lot is super small but my car had been in there for almost four days when i asked the guy if he could just tell me how bad it was he was super rude and said «i didn’t see it» it was like right there as soon as i was able to get my car. whatever the case they suck!

The most lazy fucks I have ever met. Stuck a situation where my rental ownership paper was at home and they refused to let Hertz the official owner of the vehicle to fax over the papers because they were too lazy and wanted to eat their burritos with their little sombreros. Also when I finally got my car I noticed the $ 20 under my arm rest was gone and they denied all accusations.
DO NOT COME HERE and if you ever do come here…

These guys literally hung up on me when I called to ask about my car. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced from any business. Will update this when I receive some more terrible customer service when I go to pick up my stuff.

This towing company looks great on the outside, but beware of what’s on the inside. My sister and her family were in a car accident and the car was totaled and towed to this shop. When we went to collect the things out of the car, including her house keys, they gave us the hardest time ever. They only wanted to let the person who the car was registered to in to collect the items. The sad thing is that they had NO compassion for my sister and expected her to carry all the things out of the car alone. If the car was totaled imagine how her body felt. The manager even tried to rush her because he was ready to go to lunch, and they wouldn’t even give her a bag to put the stuff in so we could go faster. They have the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced and no compassion for people. I guess since we had no control of where the car got towed they don’t care how they treat once they have your money. Word to the wise… if you can control where your car gets towed, don’t take it to these people.

This company is excessive in their towing charges and storage. I would never use this company. I am a AAA member and if I ever need service I am going to tell AAA not to use Al & Sons Towing. They are rude and uncaring.

I’ve never dealt with a less professional company! I got hit on the freeway, and this is the company that showed up to take my vehicle while I was in the ambulance. Trying to get my car back is an impossible feat-​they continuously hung-​up on me (and told me not to call them even though they have my property), and told me I had to magically drive up there (they have my car!!!)to show them my info to have my car released (even after I called them, my insurance company called them, and even my body shop called them!). Keep in mind I was being very calm, and continuing to try to be nice even while dealing with their rude manners throughout all of this nonsense. After calling the CHP I was finally able to get conformation that I could send a notarized letter with copies of my photo IDs. The CHP called the woman I was dealing with and told them that they were not allowed to hang up on me, and that they could not make it impossible for me to pick up MY property-​and that they were being extremely unprofessional (she had the audacity to tell me that a CHP officer was who told her to hang up on me-​to which the CHP said NO WAY did they tell her to do that, and that they never would say that-​ever!). I’ve never been treated so rudely-​I can’t even count how many times I got hung up on or told that I should «be grateful» that they went and got my car, and that they were taking «great care of it». Grateful for what?! Being treated like crap? I never asked them to go get my car, I have AAA and specifically asked for AAA to pick it up-​a request that was ignored by the CHP. I appreciate that my car was being well taken care of-​but definitely didn’t appreciate the way that they proceeded to deal with the situation. I fully understand that there are policies and procedures that need to be followed to have a car released, but when it is made impossible to talk to someone there is no way to just imagine some up and expect them to accept what was imagined up. There was no understanding that I got hit, the accident was not my fault-​I was also hurt so I cannot drive and hour and a half to go release my car in extreme amounts of pain. These people are rude and inconsiderate. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER WITH A TOWING COMPANY. I would recommend doing anything else but calling these rude, inconsiderate shmucks for a tow. The whole situation was just unreal.

My fiancé has a Nissan GTR (fancy sports car) and asked his shop buddies who would have a flatbed that worked with sports cars before. They referred Charlie from Al& Sons in Pomona.
My fiancé’s car had a flat but because it’s SO low, we had to arrange a flat bed to come get it. we were all the way in Thousand Oaks and they came and took us to the El Monte area.
Charlie was gentle with the car putting it on. it’s extremely low so you need to be careful. he tried putting air in the flat tire to help lift the car but it didnt do much. the tire was gone.
Charlie was really talkative and friendly.
There were some problems taking the car off. The kit was slightly hit (scratched on front side) but the fiancé is getting a new kit so he wasnt as worried as I was.
Overall, good experience. 24 hour service
