We hired Josh Yang for our wedding and couldn’t be more pleased. We had a traditional Vietnamese wedding that included a tea ceremony and Josh was a class act. We were pleased with the level of communication we had with Josh, his professionalism, work ethic, and flexibility. He also worked really well with all of our other vendors. Highly recommend Josh.

As we naturally have emotions and feelings, we tend to want to capture the special moments in our lives.
Josh did a remarkable job shooting my engagement and wedding pictures. I’m not a natural model so I didn’t know how to pose. I was new and my body was not used to being in front of the camera naturally. But every step of the way, Josh was there being patient and guiding me.
For the engagement pictures, due to Josh’s expertise and experience, he knew where to go for the best pictures. But if you already have a list of places you want to go, he is open and willing to go to them.
To give you an idea of the places he has in his pocket, he took me to Santa Monica Beach and the Venice Beach Canals (who doesn’t get their pictures here, right?). But the kicker was this beautiful nature park that literally looked like a rain forest!
As for the big wedding day, Josh was the first person there capturing moments from beginning to end. He also had a partner with him to ensure everything was caught. He knew what to do and what type of pictures to take. There were several moments when he told me to do something and thought to myself, «Oh yeah! That’s right. I see those wedding pictures all the time!»
I just felt bad for him and his partner because they couldn’t sit down and eat. They must have been hungry from running around all day!
Now as I reflect back and write this, it’s been an unforgettable year full of joy and blessings. I appreciate the big moments in my life, but I realize the little moments are just as valuable, something we neglect when we are younger. I have already begun a new chapter in my life, and I can’t find a better way to end my last review of 2013, but to write this for him.

After reading the reviews and looking at his samples, we interviewed Josh for our wedding videography and instantly like his work and charisma. In fact, we booked him on the spot during the first interview. He has a funny and easy going personality that puts his client at ease. He also got along really well with our family. We were able to be comfortable and relax while Josh worked his magic. He and his assistant showed up to our tea ceremony on time early in the morning and stayed with us for the entire day. They had a variety of gadgets, one of my favorite was the mini mic which was used to record the intimate parts of the wedding. We liked that they interviewed our friends and family as we felt that adds a personal touch to the videos. Josh was also very accommodating. When my mom was looking for a large portrait for the wedding, not only did he got us the frame but also squeezed in a mini photo shoot and developed the large print for us. Hands down, Josh is a dedicated person that goes above and beyond to make his clients happy. If you are looking for someone who is funny, passionate about videography, and has a strong and professional work ethic, then we highly recommend Josh. We are still waiting for our wedding video so an updated review will follow afterwards.

Josh Yang and his second cameraman did an AMAZING job capturing our wedding day. The first time I saw our wedding highlight I put it on repeat. I must have watched it over 20 – 30 times that day lolz. And each and every time I watch it… it made us laughed, teary-​eyed, and ecstatic all at the same time! HiVideography was highly recommended by our photographer. We made an appointment to check out their services and see their work. When we first met Josh… We knew that he was such a nice person and that we will definitely get along with him. Brides out there, trust me when I say this, rapport with your vendor is soooo important for a stress free, smooth sailing wedding. We booked Hi Videography by the time we finished our appointment with Josh. We didn’t even bother looking for any other videography vendors. We went with a two cameramen service. Josh and his partner showed up early morning around 730am on our wedding day and was ready to work until 11pm. If you are Vietnamese or Chinese… you all know our wedding day starts out super early and end super late. Thank you Josh and his second cameraman for your hard work and dedication! We LOVE what you did for our wedding highlight and can’t wait to see the extended version of our wedding. My family members from afar called me up right after they saw the wedding highlight and demanded that they get a copy of the wedding dvd /​blue ray.

My husband and I got married last fall and we chose Hivideography because they had the most complete package for the best price. When we first interviewed them, the packages presented were easy to understand with flexibility to custom services. Two videographers serviced our wedding with high tech HD cameras and sliding function so when we watched the video, it looks like the camera was sliding along with us. Videographers were more than prompt to our ceremony and reception. They showed up while we were prepping and were very professional throughout our special day. We had one of those weddings that lasted 8 am to 11pm and they were with us all through day making sure to capture each moment.
In the end, we received DVDs and Blue-​Rays of our ceremony, reception, and a 4 minute highlights. Love the highlights!
They also do photography if you need both services. I would highly recommend them for videography, not only for weddings but for all your special occasions. I’m looking forward to working with Hivideography again in the future, maybe when we want to memorialize our future children’s special occasions on video!

We hired Hi Videography for our wedding in Aug. ’12 and we couldn’t be happier with the service that we got from Josh and his team. From the beginning to the end, Josh’s friendly, easy-​going and accommodating personality was a pleasure to work with. On the day of our wedding, he and his team showed up early and were the last to leave. Throughout the day, they worked hard capturing every moment while managing to stay unobtrusive. Josh works with you and your ideas, but he also incorporates things that you hadn’t even thought of.
Josh was also very creative and patient with us when we had our save-​the-​date video shoot, and for the music video on a separate day. The quality of Josh’s work is top notch! And get this, in addition to the edited videos that we got on DVD and Blu-​ray discs, we also got all the raw footage and pictures from the various video shoots. On top of that, we also got the Premier files so that we can do our own edits later on if we choose to. This is unheard of! Videographers (or photographers) don’t usually give the raw footage or the Premier files to their clients. If they do, they’ll charge an arm and a leg for it. Josh included the raw footage for free! This alone is a steal!!!
All in all, my wife and I are very pleased with Josh’s work. We’re gladly recommending him to our friends, family, or anyone else who is looking for an excellent videographer for every special occasion. We would definitely use Josh again. The decision to have videography was a good one, but to hire Hi Videography, that was the best decision.

Our videographer, Josh Yang, did a fabulous job of capturing every moment of our wedding itinerary. What separates Josh from the rest is that he is able to offer a music video montage to show at your wedding reception, better than the typical slideshows (which he can also do upon request). He and his team of cameramen were able to capture all events from «getting ready» at 5am to engagment ceremony to wedding ceremony to wedding reception.
Josh is a true genuine person to deal with that has the passion to deliver exceptional service. I highly recommend Josh to anybody.

My wife and I got married almost two years ago, and we are beyond happy with Hi Videography. We could not have asked for a better videographer to capture our special day.
