Private Piano Lessons in your own home or in my home-​studio. Hegarty Piano Studio offers customized lessons … learn songs of your choice and learn at your own pace.

Lessons can include: MTAC Theory, Rhythm Workshops, Community Service Performances, Annual Recital & Award Ceremony, and an online Student Gallery with mp3 & video recordings. Students will also learn how to practice effectively & efficiently. In addition, students can create their own personal CDs of the songs they have learned. And, if needed, Miss Nancy can arrange music to fit student’s individual level and needs.

Hegarty Piano Studio offers a friendly & relaxed lesson atmosphere. Miss Nancy is gentle, but firm with kids of all ages. Adults also welcome, and are not required to perform.

History

Established in 1987.

as a way to help put myself through college. But really, the business started back in 1964, when I started my own piano lessons at the age of 4. I formally studied music in the classical tradition, both privately, through the MTAC Certificate of Merit Program and in college, for over 18 years. I have been teaching in Solano county since 1987, and have recently started taking steps to move the business up to the Placerville area to be closer to Mom. I continue to study piano as a recording artist, performer, and mainly as a teacher. «I feel very blessed to be able to teach what I love — music — to people who inspire me daily — children.»

Many of my students have gone on to win local piano competitions, participate in high school Drumline, or attend colleges such as the Academy of Art in San Francisco.
