When I hired my general contractor I asked for the best tile setter because we were doing complicated arches & custom pieces, with a herringbone heated floor. Without a moment of hesitation he said «Dan Romeo». I checked with my tile rep and she said the same name! When we got to the tile stage, Dan went straight to work. He is not merely a tile setter, he is an artist. All the tile in the shower & bath are book marked (which you typically don’t see), the arches have smooth tile cuts and an arch stone. You just don’t see that in normal tile setters. He knew exactly how to install the very fragile mother pearl tile. Then Dan took great care installing the custom bath wall (laser etched glass with marble & glitter grout). He even custom fit our shower niche to match. He has great design ideas. If you are going to spend the $$ for nice tile, then just don’t hire «anybody» — tile work lasts a lifetime. Get it done correctly. I would highly recommend Dan Romeo again and again. We recently moved to Pleasanton and needed tile work done with remodeling our kitchen and bathrooms. Daniel came to us highly recommended and he did not disappoint. His work was outstanding. He was extraordinarily responsive (worked Saturdays, Sundays, evenings — whatever it took to get the job done) and was always pleasant and courteous (treated our home as though it was his own). He has a great eye for color and provided excellent recommendations regarding tile schemes, coordination, and grout colors.

I am in the middle of a kitchen remodel. I had beautiful 20 inch tiles installed that had a lot of lipage. Daniel was recommended as an expert tile installer. Daniel fit me into his busy schedule and sent his crew out to fix my floor and relay my tile floor. They did a fantastic job. In fact I am having Daniel and his workers come back to do my back splash. Daniel takes pride in his work and does an excellent job in order for his clients to be overjoyed with the end result

Romeo Tile and Stone recently completed the installation of new tiles in our shower. From the demo to the completion, Daniel and his team were professional, accommodating and willing to explain every detail of our project. At the end of every day, his workers would make sure everything was cleaned and wiped down. There’s not many company’s that will go to this extent. Daniel’s main goal was to make sure the job was done correctly and we were pleased with the results. Daniel did a wonderful job with our bathroom improvement. He was on time daily, kept us apprised of what work would be done, insured our improvements were top quality and gave us competitive pricing with great quality. Daniel used his experience to help us change our mind and select a better tile than what we originally chose. He is very detailed, listens closely and easy to work with. Most importantly, all «dirty» work was done outside, even though the workers had to constantly go up and down the stairs. Clean up was thorough daily. Daniel and his crew did a large tile removal and installation in my home this summer and I could not be more pleased with the process from start to finish. He came highly recommended by another person in the construction industry who felt I would be impressed with his work. Daniel has great communication, returning calls promptly and touching base about timelines, etc… He helped me find the tile I was looking for and arranged for us to see a former customer’s work. We went on vacation while his crew removed all the existing tile in our house. This was a great decision and Daniel even sent pictures via text to keep us informed of the progress. We were home for the tile installation which was quite a large crew. But they could not have been more accommodating to my family. They were always prompt and courteous and they were truly craftsmen. When Daniel completed the project, I was 100% satisfied, this could not have been a better experience and I would not hesitate to recommend him.

One of the things we were impressed with is Daniel’s excellent communication throughout the project. This was very important to us. We spoke every day about the status and he quickly answered questions that I had along the way. We made a few design changes midway through the project and he was able to accommodate and give us options. He is a good communicator and listener.
We used three tile colors and Daniel suggested three grout colors, while we were thinking just one. He was able to make them blend well and almost disappear. He even consulted a designer on his own to make sure they were perfect.
After the floor tile was down, there were a few tiles that had lippage. I noticed only one. The next morning the tiles were pulled up and replaced. We did not ask for it; it was just done after Daniel inspected. They care about their work and the quality is excellent.
Overall, the job exceeded our expectations and we are extremely happy with Daniel and his team.
