Everytime I walk by this store I smell something purely awful. I can’t even go inside. That is enough for me!

While I have never shopped at the Pumpkin Patch, seeing as I don’t have children and am still mostly one myself — I still have nothing but love for them. See, I work for a local nonprofit that serves homeless families. The Pumpkin Patch called us up and took a lot of care and time in donating their display or damaged out goods. They were sure to only mail us stuff that could be easily fixed, like a button needing to be replaced or a smear from dust that could be easily washed off and removed. The fact that the store manager — I believe — his name was Calvin, took the time to call me and make sure the items would be of use and went through to sort out things he found unwearable was sincerely nice and very respectful. All to often we deal with donors who want to give us rundown items that, let’s be honest, if you don’t want to wear them anymore — chances are no one else does either. The employees treated our clients and the work we do with respect and I will always appreciate community partners like this store.

Note to the staff at this store: it’s NOTOK to talk about customers shopping at your store when we’re standing RIGHT in front of you. We have ears, and we can hear you. We don’t appreciate hearing about how you have already hit the target for the day; we get it, we can tell because you’re not getting off your butts to help us. The only reason that you’re getting two stars and not one is because when we came back the next day to do some RETURNS, we actually got someone decent. And, that’s just wrong… to get better service doing a return than when you’re spending $ 200+ on kids clothes.

Pumpkin Patch is a great store for children. I can shop for my children who are under 5, as well as my 13 yr old niece and everyone is happy. The boys section is especially refreshing, given the lack of originality and diversity in boys clothing pretty much anywhere else. The color pallets are often different from other stores Gymboree. The girls clothing is a mixed bag, but mainly lovely and different. People always stop to ask where I get their beautiful clothes. The quality, fit, and finish is fantastic and they stand behind it 100%! The staff is also by far the best I’ve encountered anywhere in the Bay Area — hands down.

I wouldn’t echo my fellow Unilocaler’s claim that Pumpkin Patch has the cutest kids clothes. They are not worst place though either. I do agree that they do have boys clothes with a little personality, but the boys section all seems to be the same color scheme. Recently it has seemed kind of drab. The girls clothes are just okay, nothing special. They also have a maternity section, but the majority of it doesn’t have prices on it. Once you do find out the price, it’s overpriced. Actually everything here is kind of pricey, but, I’ve bought a couple of things here and they do seem to be of very good quality. This store also seems to be understaffed. Could have been because someone called in sick or didn’t show up to work for some reason. I’ll have to re-evaluate that at a later date.

Th Pumpkin Patch store at Stoneridge Mall has the cutest clothes for kids!!! They are all color coordinated so you don’t have to worry about trying to match everything. Excellent place to find boys’s clothes with a little personality. So far quality is good. I’m only giving 4 stars because they are a little pricey for kids clothes– but not bad for outfits for special occasions(and they do have great sales.). Whenever I’m there I find myself wishing there was a store like this for grownups…
