Hyatt House Pleasanton

The reason why I gave this hotel a bad review is because we were there for a wedding. Arrived there after a long 7 hour flight and a drive of an estimated 1.5 hours. With that being said we (my husband, myself and 2 kids) were exhausted. Went straight to the lobby and checked in. Before signing anything we spoke with one of the associates to guarantee how much and how many nights we were staying. The lady looked at her computer to double check and reassured us that we will be staying for 2 nights for an estimated price of $ 130 plus taxes and fees. Being exhausted I figured that was a great deal and maybe was part of the wedding group discount.
With that being said, another gentleman who works there overheard everything. so, I signed the paper and I wasn’t given a copy of the receipt but was only given 2 key cards and information about the hotel.
The next day after getting back from the wedding to relax a little bit before heading to the reception, we heard continuous knocking on our door and was telling us to check out immediately. We were confused as to why, so my husband headed to the lobby and spoke with 2 of the male representatives who informed him that we were only supposed to be here for one night.
I immediately went to the lobby and politely explained to them that one of their employees last night guaranteed us that we will be here for 2 nights. But of course policy is policy and shoved the signed paper in our faces. I immediately recognized one of the employees who was there the night before and they continuously denied that they don’t know who this person was who guaranteed me that we will be staying for 2 nights. They kept insisting that they are booked and that I signed the paper. I got really mad because they were defending and covering for this person who messed up our reservation. I simply walked away because I was worried about where me and my family would stay after traveling from across the country.
We went back to our room and heard another knock on the door and it was my sister and her friend. My sister’s friend told us that he spoke to the «acting supervisor» and made a deal.
The funny thing about this whole situation was, the establishment messed up on their part but no APOLOGIES or EMPATHY? a common customer service protocol. no proper training??? smh
But the acting supervisor listened to a STRANGER to compromise with us???
This hotel especially this location has POOR customer service, etiquette, and professionalism.
I completely understand that there is a POLICY but I wouldn’t keep insisting that one of their employees (who happened to be the MANAGER) GUARANTEED us (as a verbal agreement) that we will be staying for 2 nights. And had a witness — which was a male employee name Jorge who kept denying and covering for their mistakes that night.
Would I recommend this hotel??? YES… but this LOCATION??? NOOOOOOOO!!!

Great place, I like the full kitchen. Front desk is quick to respond. Manuel, the Handy-​Man is professional and friendly, great combo!
I only don’t like not having an elevator. Still recuperating from surgery, it’s hard using stairs. At least we’re on the second not the third floor!

Stayed here for 1 week and must say it feels like a home away from home. Seriously Felt like I was renting a 2 bedroom condo. I loved that breakfast was on them and enjoyed working on my fitness in the mini gym. My favorite spot is the heated pool and jacuzzi. I would totally go back.

Awesome!!! Has about everything you need. My only suggestion would be to add another waffle maker. Came to the Giants Fan fest for a turn around we were lucky to get this place. Would highly recommend.

I stayed here with my mom, my sister and her daughters. It was spacious and very accommodating. We got the 2 bdrm suite with kitchen. Let’s start with the rooms. They both had TVs in them, nightstand on each side, a mirror with sink and bathrooms in both. There also was a walk in closet in my sister’s. The kitchen was fully stocked with utwnsils., poys and pans, cups, bowls and plates. The only complaint was the TV connection would act up from time to time but other that it was a great stay. I love this hotel! I will definitely come again. It is also conveniently locates by stores, outlets, and the freeway.

Cutest place ever! Love it here. The place was so comfy, it was like a little apt. Definitely recommend this place! Oh yea free breakfast too :)

This was a great place for our family to land for a one night stay. We arrived at around 11pm and had no problem getting checked in to our room and situated for the night. When we made our reservations, we forgot to ask for ground level since we have baby gear to lug and even with the holiday travelers, they were able to accommodate. Thankfully, we were even able to find parking right outside our room so it was easy to unpack and repack the car the following morning. Little conveniences like this makes life a little easier with an infant.
The rooms were very spacious and clean. We had a kitchen, full sized refrigerator, microwave and a sink which came in super handy when I needed to wash some of the babies bottles, sippy cups and dishes.
Breakfast was even included in our stay and it was a pretty decent breakfast too. The buffet was open from 6:30 — 9:30 am. They had an omelet and waffle station, potatoes and many signature breakfast items like muffins, scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, ham and even breakfast burritos.
I’d definitely stay here again.

Selected location on recommendation from relocation company. The first 50 days I thought the hotel cleaning staff was very good. Front desk not best at customer service. Even had a little difficulty with making the connection at the onset to setup my stay. It felt like I was bothering them during work hours.
The major complaint is hotel security. Parked car in back where room was located. My car trunk was opened and then locked again electronically and my wife and I had both sets of clubs stolen over night. Not blaming the hotel for my lost. I am only completely disappointed in their response. No call or even a single sign of acknowledgement that it actually happened. I went to the front desk and asked if they had surveillance cameras and immediately they went into policy mode. Sir that is public parking and the hotel is NOT RESPONSIBLE for that area behind the hotel (you mean your parking lot where are rooms are located?!!) OR SYMPATHETIC!
It would have been better just to acknowledge the issue and let me feel at least like they cared that their customer was just robbed on their property and would have been nice if they asked if their was anything they could do to help with the situation. Nothing not even a «sorry» for the hassle comment.

This place is pretty awesome! We were in town for my cousin’s wedding and I ended up getting a room here because the bridal party were staying here and it was just more convenient. The rooms were super clean, large, and very spacious! The beds were also super soft and comfortable.
Another plus that I love is that there was free hot/​cold breakfast for their guest! They also had an omelet station where the chef made you an omelet to your liking. Overall, the staff were nice, the rooms were on point, and the breakfast was awesome. If I ever need a place to stay in this area again, I would definitely come here!

We are here on business for a 5 day stay. Check in was very smooth, friendly and I was able to check in early. We have a king suit and it is spacious and clean. There is a full kitchen with everything you would need and a full size refrigerator. The maid service is done daily and they do a good job. There is breakfast included with a big selection. There is an omelet station, fresh fruits, bread choices, eggs, potatoes a different meat each day, a lot of different juices, coffee, tea and much more. The gym is clean and the equipment is updated and decent. Location of this hotel is in a good area and convenient. Next time we are in Pleasanton we will stay at Hyatt House.

Room are decent. They had to switch my rooms during the stay but they called me in advance and informed about it.
They did not clean room on one of the days.

Stayed here for work and hosted a welcome reception for guests of our company in their bar /​outside fire pit area. Aaron was super helpful and attentive to my guests needs. Great place to relax outside and chill. The rooms were large with a multiple flat panel TV’s, kitchens and sofa’s. House keeping was like clockwork, super clean rooms and comfortable beds.
The free breakfast every morning was also good, made to order omelets, fresh fruit, yogurt etc.
Would not hesitate to stay here again when visiting.

Staff is great. Rooms are large and spacious. Mattresses are very, very soft. Staff offered 3 other rooms, but mattresses were all so soft. Cannot stay here again with my back.

My fiancé and I stayed here for my birthday and it was a very pleasant stay. We received a good deal here. It wasn’t too expensive and the hotel was very clean and spacious. There was an open kitchen and living room in one room and bedroom and bathroom in another. The bed was big and comfortable. There were two televisions with hbo also. I ended up watching game of thrones there. They have nice little amenities. The hotel is a bit to the side also so the environment was quiet. The next day we woke up early to have their free continental breakfast. It was nicely set up with different choices of food and juices. They also had an omelet section. I enjoyed the sausages. There were no hidden fees or anything and the staff was professional and straight forward.

I was a bit early from an exhausting drive and they had rooms ready! Easiest check-​in I’ve had in a long while.
Room were impeccable. Extremely clean. Room had everything we needed, and if you forget or need anything from i dont know… a blender? Curling iron? Board game? They have it andd They let you borrow it!

Hyatt! You have surpassed my expectations. You get FIVE STARS!

I felt like we were staying in a one bedroom apartment. The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials to cook and eat with. The comforter om the bed was a little thin. The room was very clean and in good shape. We asked for more towels at 9am and by 1 pm we had to go downstairs and get them ourselves. The breakfast was good. Sausage, made to order omlets, french toast, fruits, lots of variety in drinks. We will definitely stay here again.

Came here for a wedding in Pleasanton for 4 nights:
Service: The service was excellent. My hubby checked in and they upgraded him to a two bedroom suite which was really nice considering we had the inlaws with us. The housekeeping was excellent as well and didn’t knock on our door being super annoying early in the morning
Food: The free breakfast was awesome. They have a made to order omelet bar and fresh fruit and hot items, could not believe it was free!
Rooms: The rooms are a little older but clean. Free wifi is awesome and water pressure was great!
Overall great value for a couple, toddler, and in laws

I’ve stayed at this Hyatt twice now. The first time that we stayed it was only for 1 night. My last visit my husband and I stayed for 2 weeks.
Our first visit was quick and we really enjoyed the environment of the hotel. We also noticed that it was quiet. It feels like you have your own personal apartment, with cooking utensils and a nice large shower. (It’s rare to find a nice shower at hotels) Since we had such a awesome first impression we decided to give this place another shot when we returned back in the area for my husbands job.
Our second visit was not as nice as the first visit. The first night in the hotel we shared a wall with some loud party animals… Don’t get me wrong I like to have a good time but you have to respectful of the people you are sharing a wall with. The partying seem to drag on through the night. The next day we requested to switch room in hopes of some quite neighbors. The front desk was really nice about switching rooms and had no problem with it.

Cons about this place:
There is a card that you have to place on the bed if you want your sheets to be cleaned… I place the card on the bed whenever we have the room cleaned. The sheets were never changed during our visit…
Dish towels are never replaced unless you ask for them.
Toilet paper is like gold. I had to ask the front desk for toilet paper a handful of times.
The bed makes noises every time you move in it. and it not very comfortable.
The counters in the kitchen never seemed to get wiped down. I was able to see dust on them.
The room was never vacuumed during our whole visit.
The dishwashing soap was never replaced after the first time we used it.
The hotel offers a «borrows» list. This «borrows» list has item for guest to borrow when they are in need of simple items. For example, for women– flat iron, curling iron, hair blow dryer. For men– grilling utensils, headphones etc. It is a really cool ideas… if they only had all of the items. I asked if I could borrow a white noise machine to help us sleep. The lady at the front desk looked at me like I was crazy and said, «Oh sorry we don’t have that item yet.» Since they didn’t have the noise machine I thought that I would try out the fan. Again disappointed to find out that they only had one and another hotel guest was using it… If you are going to offer items for «borrow» have more than one.
It would be nice if the rooms were stocked with simple cleaning supplies so that guest can clean after themselves if they would like to… Personally I don’t mind picking up after myself and I try to keep to room clean as possible so that when housekeeping does come to drop off clean towels or put new sheets on it is easy on them. Just a little disappointed with our last visit.
I gave the Hyatt House 2 stars because the rooms do have a nice feel to them, they just need a little help.

530 – 7 mon– thu is not to be missed, a huge spread of food that could easily be called a dinner even though they call it snacks or hors deouvres or whatever, free draft beer and wine.
the hotel breakfast spread is good too. hotel environment is quiet and quite nice. there is a pretty decent outdoor pool and basketball/​volleyball area and a nice courtyard area near the pool to sit outside. there are a few restaurants within walking distance of the hotel in nearby strip malls.

I would highly recommend this hotel.
Very clean lines, very fresh and obviously recently overhauled.
Reasonable prices, easy check in and check out, and parking was simple. There are many restaurants you can walk to, and businesses all around. There was literally zero road noise, and although there is construction currently in the main lobby, we were far enough away to not even notice. (note: we did ask to be far away from the noise)
We only stayed one night, and it was because a family member had surgery nearby. But there is a pool which looked nice, and a 24 hour place to buy snacks. I didn’t see a gym, but was told they had a state of the art one.
Back to the room (one room suite) — very nice king size bed, two nightstands and a beautiful washroom — maybe even nicer than the one in my condo. (note, no tub) The layout was very nice — again, maybe nicer than my condo! Two flat screens (one in front sitting room, one in front of the bed) with basic channels — no comcast sports network, though, even though it’s listed on the printed channel guide. (We wanted to watch the sharks game, so this was disappointing in a major way.)
Front room was very generous sized, and had a nice desk. The couch was nice and had a nice table to put my drink on while I was watching TV. Internet was strong and free — both wired and wireless available.
Kitchen was well done and adequately stocked. And there is a grocery store within walking distance, as well as things for sale in the front lobby. Oh, and there are/​is (a) full size fridge, stove and oven — almost unheard of these days. All very new and obviously cleaned very well.
One downside, which can be major for some: in our building — 14 — there were no elevators, so we had to climb 2 very large sets of stairs with our luggage. This wasn’t a problem for us, but I can imagine so for a family or someone with a lot of luggage or one with mobility issues. I am not sure if all buildings of the hotel are without elevators, or if it was just our block. So be sure to ask if if this could be an issue.
Awesome place for a family — there are even 2 room suites available! And a great location for business travelers!
If there was one thing I’d change it would be the toilet paper. It was so bad (cheap and thin and maaaaybe 2 ply) that if we stayed again, I’d actually bring my own.
