GT General Contractor

My previous review is not a mistake as what the contractor said. I seldom write reviews and when I do, it’s honest because I want to be of help to my fellow consumers who deserve honest and at least an average service or good/​s.
Please know and research well before hiring people or buying goods. However, it still happens unfortunately that no matter how much we thought we are in the right place, things fall apart. To lower that chance, I am not recommending this company.

We recently bought a house that needed some updating. New floors, a fresh coat of paint, new baseboards, knocked down a wall, had some demo done in the garage. A whole slew of various things. We interviewed numerous contractors, and couldn’t be happier with our final choice — George and his crew. As with any remodeling job, we were met with our share of challenges along the way, but nevertheless, GT was able to meet those challenges, and in the end leave us with a home that we’re proud of. If you’re looking for a contractor to take care of your home, I highly recommend GT General Contractor.

George is a great contractor to work with.
Over the course of 3 months, he and his crew completely remodeled 3 bathrooms for us and we are very satisfied with the finished project. Throughout the process, he was a great communicator and worked tirelessly to do his best to meet our deadlines for completion. He was attentive to our various requests for project additions/​modifications and worked hard to make sure we were fully satisfied with his work.
We would highly recommend George to anyone looking for a reliable, highly-​skilled, customer-​focused contractor that works hard to get the job done right!

After seeing the GT van on my court doing what seemed to be a lot of work on my neighbors house and checking him out here, I gave him a call about getting a quote of our bathroom shower remodel. He was one of the first guys I called, and after his message assured me he’d return my call I waited and he never called back. I got several other quotes and thought I’d give him another try… sometimes things just slip through the cracks. Same story second time! Very unprofessional and rude to not take a second and return your business calls. There won’t be a third call… ever.

George and his crew were true professionals who got our remodel project complete on time and we ended up paying less because he was able to secure deeper materials prices and he passed those discounts to us. He is extremely honest and takes a lot of pride in his work. He punctually responded to all my questions and was very transparent as the project progressed. George and team were highly recommended to me and I will highly recommend him to anyone looking for his service.

George and his crew did a complete kitchen remodel and them some for us this past year. He offered competitive pricing, was responsive, flexible with some changes mid way through, and followed through on all of his commitments. Additionally, George and his crew were punctual and cleaned up everyday before they left. This was huge, especially because we were living in our home during the remodel. The end results of his work look great… you will not be disappointed. I will definitely call George again for future projects. I highly recommend George for any project you may have.

We first became acquainted with Mr. Rozsa in 2011. Having learned of his services through Angie’s List, his reviews were highly positive. After interviewing a number of contractors for a bathroom renovation for our condominium, we chose G T General Contractor to perform the work. We were extremely pleased with the outcome of his efforts. Four years later, we continue to receive compliments on the renovation work he and his company performed.
In addition to being highly competitive in his pricing, Mr. Rozsa brought a level of professionalism, attention to detail and thoroughness that made working with him and his crew a distinct pleasure.
Given our past highly positive experience with him and his company, we contacted Mr. Rozsa in late December, 2014 about work we were planning to ready our condominium for sale. After meeting with him in early January, 2015, we indicated that we needed the work performed during the two-​week window period from March 9^th through March 20^th.
As our target date approached, we contacted him to confirm the start date of our work. While his project activity had increased since we met in January, he was able to start the work on March 12^th and then incorporate weekend work to complete the promised work at the standard of excellence we had come to expect from him and his company and to do so with a very minimum of disruption to us.
For this most recent work, we had engaged G T General Contractor to replace all of the wall-​to-​wall carpeting and vinyl flooring with wood laminate flooring, repair a closet system, perform drywall repairs, exactingly repaint the entire interior of our condominium, repair and repaint the interior and exterior of our front door, replace all of the existing doorknobs and hinges on our interior doors and install a new kitchen faucet. All of the work was performed to the highest standard of technical expertise and customer satisfaction that to us continues to distinguish George Rozsa and G T General Contractor.
Whether the need is for new construction, a major renovation or a minor one, we heartily endorse George Rozsa and his company, G T General Contractor of Pleasanton.

We found George and GT General Contractor on Unilocal and are so glad we did. Our project was a commercial build out and although most of George’s other projects were residential he and his team proved up to the task. George is a great project manager and handled all of our meetings with inspectors. When issues arose, as they always will, he was proactive in his problem solving and always kept us in the loop. We had a very specific idea of what we wanted our space to look like and at the end of the project, GT General Contractor delivered. We would recommend George and his team to anyone looking to do a commercial or residential build out.

I found GT General Contractor on Unilocal and we were very pleased with the work of his entire crew. They arrived promptly each day and worked hard to stay on schedule. We wanted to finish off our garage with insulation, sheet rock, cabinets & have the floor painted. George understood what we wanted and made helpful suggestions in the planning of our project. We were also very impressed with the neatness in the way our premises were left each day and at completion of the job. We would highly recommend George Rosza (GT Construction) to our family, friends & neighbors!

GT General Contractor did an extensive remodel at my house this Summer.
Walls broken out, load bearing beams, popcorn ceiling refinished, mold and termite damage repaired, windows added, new flooring, new fireplace with gas insert, hallway closed turned around and remodeled into bedroom closet, whole house attic fan install, shower stall and a complete remodel of a guest bathroom.
It was done in2 months, cost ended up as quoted and within set time frame.
The house looks like a new house, the end result is above expectations.
I can recommend George Rosza and his crew for any remodel job you may have, george was an effective communicator, and kept me abreast of all progress.

I would hire George again in an instant. We had him install ceiling fans with wall switches in two rooms. What we thought would be a reasonably straightforward job got complicated when we discovered that one of the two rooms had no attic access. George knew exactly what to do and, even though it required him to cut holes in the ceiling and along the wall, he did such a phenomenal job patching and matching the finishes that all it took was a coat of paint to make any evidence that work had ever been done absolutely undetectable. He completely cleaned the workspace when he was done and the additional amount charged to cover the extra work was extremely reasonable. Plus, we had a limited window in which to complete the project (wanted the fans installed before visitors arrived to stay during hot weather). George went out of his way to work within our schedule and our guests were very grateful that he did.

It’s so nice to have a contractor who knows what he is doing, does it all, and does it well. George patched some drywall that a previous electrian cut while putting in new lights (I wish I had gotten George then!). He also removed an old built-​in bar, which we’re removing to put in an entertainment center. He also wired the room for the new sound system, and put in additional electrical outlets for the future entertainment center. This had him and his team going up to the attic and down into the lower garage to wire it just right. He communciated well and worked around our schedule. I’ve been meaning to Unilocal him — as I’d use him again in an instant!
And then I did! Late Saturday night I stepped into a puddle… where no puddle inside the house should be. I mopped it up and on Sunday investigated under the house, finding no leak, but there was obviously water coming from someplace. Without a leak, calling a plumber didn’t make sense… so I called George on Sunday. He made an emergency trip out to my house. He tracked the leak down to my furnace and water in the duct. He’s not only a great contractor, but he also provides extraordinary service. He didn’t even charge an arm and a leg for the call. I’m very glad I found him!

We paid other contractor to fix George’s work.

I was looking for a contractor to remove old torn up wood paneling on my garage walls, add support beams for storage on the top of the garage, add insulation, and put new drywall for all the walls. I contacted about 6 different contractors, 2 of them never responded back, and got bids from 4 of them. George responded back right away which I liked because I wanted to get it done asap. His estimate wasn’t the lowest, and wasn’t the highest, about right in the middle. After talking with him about what I wanted I felt very comfortable and confident that he could do a good job. George and one of his guys started the job right away. They were very professional, worked very hard, extremely flexible when I wanted to add a few extra things to get done. He finished the job when he said he would, and I couldn’t have been happier with the job that they did. My garage looks completely different, and before it was a huge mess, and now it looks fantastic. I would definitely recommend George for any home remodel that you are thinking of!

George was great. I had a support beam which was weakening due to dry rot. It was more of a job than I felt comfortable giving to a handyman. George gave me a couple of options for replacing the beam. He arrived on time & took care of the job in just a matter of hours. He finished the job in less than ½ the time & for less $ than other contractors had estimated. GT General Contractor/​George did a great job & I would have no reluctance in calling on him in the future.

We remodeled our bathroom and laundry room. From the estimate to the final inspection, the process was smooth. George, himself, showed up daily along with his worker and put in full days work each and every day. The workplace was cleaned up daily and the work done with quality. He had good recommendations for where to get cabinets and managed the permit process with the city. He was responsive and asked questions whenever something was in doubt. It was the first good contracting experience I’ve had!
