Goal Line and the staff, yes, you Sketch, are just fantastic! They hosted a ProductionVilleSF Dog & Pony Show™ and were excellent partners. This is perhaps the biggest stage in Northern California and totally pro, clean, reasonable and smart.
It was a great experience!

Nice large stage in the east bay. Excellent customer service. They have gear and allow outside vendors to bring in gear.

We held a large event for our school auction at Goal Line Productions in March, 2012 and it was a huge success!
When you get to Goal Line to look at the space, you can’t believe that it can be transformed into literally whatever you want, but through lighting, sound and INCREDIBLE staff, it is magical what they can do. We had a beautiful chandelier light hanging over each dining table and customized lighting (to match our event logo!) on all of the interior walls that transformed the space into a beautiful backdrop for our event. We have been doing this event for 18 years, and everyone commented as this being the best yet. The ambiance that was created by Goal Line was the main reason why. I wish I could post photos.
We had a cocktail hour with silent auction, a buffet dinner with sit-​down dining tables and a live auction for 250 people. Since Goal Line is a production studio, it was easy for them to display our school video and photos that we wanted to show-​off during the evening on various screens throughout the facility. The space has a full commercial kitchen that our caterer (Bön Vivant in Livermore) used to push out dinner and appetizers for 250+ people.
The stage manager, Sketch, is such a professional… he can accomplish so much with his creativity and and he and his staff was so nice to work with. He also has incredible connections with rental companies for everything from elegant portable restrooms from Royal Restrooms (like they have at Wente Vineyards during concert months) and Pleasanton Rentals for items you might need to rent-​tables, linens, etc. Before our event, Sketch presented us with a fully-​rendered CAD drawing of the space with table placement, etc. – he changed it all around for us until we were happy and without complaint. Working with him and his staff is totally turn-​key.
We were invited to the «stage» a week or so before our event to see it set-​up for a wedding, and WOW, it was spectacular. It was very different than our event, but it was elegant and beautiful and somewhere that I’d love to be for a wedding.
I couldn’t recommend Goal Line any more whole-​heartedly for ANY type of event… they can make it anything you’d like – the sky’s the limit!

I don’t even know where to begin with this review; everything about this venue exceeded our expectations. My husband and I had about 3 months to plan our wedding, and when we met with Sketch (Studio Manager) at Goal Line for the first time, we were sure that this would be the place. We wanted something different for our wedding, not the typical golf course or winery, somewhere that our guests would walk in and say «this is definitely the wedding of Sarah and Scott!» We researched so many wedding venues in the Sacramento, San Jose, San Francisco, and Pleasanton areas (and everywhere in between), and we fell in love with Goal Line. It is literally a huge empty space that you can mold into whatever you’d like. Since we had limited time for planning, we decided to have our ceremony and reception at Goal Line. The ceremony alone exceeded our expectations! And the reception, oh my, it was amazing! This venue is for any type of couple — the creative ones who know exactly what they want, or like us, who had a vague idea, and let Sketch do his creative magic. He was so responsive, easy to work with, and very personable which made a huge difference. This was truly exactly what we wanted our wedding to look and feel like, and would not have changed one thing. We highly recommend Goal Line for your wedding!

LOVED! LOVED! LOVED working with Goal Line on my wedding reception! Being a do-​it-​yourself bride, my husband and I knew we did not want a «traditional» wedding and needed a place we could make feel our own, something that reflected us and our style, and definetly not a place where they have a wedding booked weekend and the only thing that changes are the choice of flowers and the bride and groom! At Goal Line, you start with literally a blank canvas to work with and if you can dream it, they can do it (so don’t be afraid to search wedding blogs and bring pictures/​ideas) The entire team was generous with timelines, we were able to set up all our personal touches the day before, leaving me stress free the day of the wedding! My catering team had everything they needed in Goal Line’s commercial kitchen. Thanks Goal Line!

One of my close buddies got married this past month and since I was one of the groomsmen, I had a small part in helping him and his wife with the planning and prep for the big day.
At first they wanted to go with the east bay typical winery setting, but they ended up choosing Goal Line because they wanted something different than the typical Livermore winery wedding/​reception.
This venue isn’t your typical «wedding» site, but rather it’s a production company with their own film studio that they can transform into just about anything you can envision. Envision a Hollywood sound stage and how they can turn it into anything they want. That is what this place was like. The production crew showed my buddy and his wife some of the previous wedding reception arrangements they had done and I remember him telling me they were immediately blown away with the possibilities. Since it’s a production studio, they have this giant wall that wraps around two of the walls. They had some sort of projection setup that was able to project whatever image they wanted onto this wall and the lighting was simply amazing! Just before we did the cake cutting service, the production crew was able to project a huge montage of pictures on the wall and it looked awesome! I think my buddy said they had a couple pictures from the event on Goal Line’s FB page but I am not sure if links are allowed in reviews, so I will just leave it at that.
Long story short, Goal Line was an amazing place for a wedding and even though I have only been this involved with a couple weddings, the end result was nothing short of spectacular and the best I have seen. It was unique, vibrant and at the same time, it managed to have an intimate feeling even though there were over 200 guests.
A cool fact about the place too… this is John Madden’s production studio and where he does a lot of his own voice over work. I remember when we were lining up by the kitchen door, before being introduced to the guests, we looked up and saw a giant «All-​Madden Team» sign. I swear it looked just like the old scoreboard looking sign from the All-​Madden specials back in the day.

Nothing quite compares to shooting at Goal Line! We have a wedding and portrait photography business and having Goal Line nearby means we don’t have to own or lease our own studio. We can rent it as often as we need it and we are still money ahead at the end of the month. I don’t know the actual dimensions, but the cyc wall is large enough to photograph multiple automobiles and still have room to spare. The studio was designed for productions much larger than what I use it for so for me it means I don’t have any limitations.
Sketch (the guy who runs it) is very friendly, up-​beat and helpful. He’s a lighting expert and has helped me get shots that I could envision, but wasn’t exactly sure how to light. They have equipment rental on site which we have used for more complex jobs (which saves me a trip to Calumet in SF).
Sketch always goes above and beyond to make sure we’re happy. I would highly recommend Goal Line if you’re looking for studio or even a location to hold a company party or wedding reception.
