I decided to check this place out and it happens to be a great spot!!! I’ve ordered a few times and I gotta say, I love their food. The BBQ chicken is done good in my opinion. Their Thai Ice tea, delicious, crispy tofu… satay. all outstanding. But what people mention, the Tofu Grob!!! That is the best!!! Okay. Price is good. portions is good. Service is fast. Staff have been great!

This place is hidden in the corner of the shopping center. The food is very good and flavorful and the service was very good. I think it is one of the better Thai restaurants that I have eaten at. Try the volcano fish, it is outstanding. I gave it 4 stars because the chow mein didn’t have many noodles, it was more vegetables than noodles but it was a good dish. The Thai BBQ is excellent. The servings are big and the prices are very reasonable.

I didn’t like it the first time I tried it, but the second through infinity times I loved it. I usually get the pad krapow(or whatever — spicy basil chicken) lunch special for under $ 10. I get it to go with white rice and salad with peanut dressing. It hits the spot so hard, it’s a big serving, for a good price, I use some sriracha and I am happy for the evening. I should try more of the dishes but it’s so good I can’t get myself to. There are other thai places around here that are solid, but this one is also a short walk from my house, so it gets even higher marks(though 4 stars isn’t inflated)

Place is pretty good, hidden in the corner of this shopping center. The yellow curry is on point, and the spicy levels are fire! Started off with some of the grilled chicken skewers, marinated and seasoned well, but nothing special. Ended up getting yellow curry with duck, and it was FAMILYSTYLE rice, there was so much rice wow. Enough to feed my family of 12. Afterwards, we got the mango rice dessert, I definitely recommend getting some! Not too sweet, but definitely cools off the taste buds after a spicy curry.

We tried the BBQ platter and my husband tried the pad thai. The noodles were a bit overcooked. The BBQ platter was really good. Would I go back, no but I’m glad I stopped in. I found another Thai place a jump and skip away that is sooooooo yummy! Im about to review that place in a bit.

One of the best Thai places around here in Pleasant Hill. Love the TOFUGROB, my hubby loves the eggplant dish and many more. Everyone that we took to this restaurant really enjoy the food as well. It does get busy on weekends though, so make reservations !!! Daily lunches, which is when I typically go, is pleasant, just right.

This is a feel good restaurant. Delicious food with bold flavors, abundant well-cooked vegetables in the meat dishes and generous portions combine for a great experience. The service is warm and personal and the artwork beautiful. We had a lovely conversation with one of the women who I believe was an owner and she made me want to go to Thailand on vacation! I will drive past many other Thai restaurants to come here and be treated like an honored guest, not just another check that was paid. Don’t miss this place — it is a hidden gem.

Best Thai food in town. I love their BBQ beef, yellow curry with chicken and the Thai tea is to die for… after I dilute it with water. The only down fall is super sticky floors an a odd smell that I think comes from the dog grooming place next door.

I love their yellow chicken curry, chow mein, Thai tea, and grilled plates. Oh and my favorite is their yummy soup that comes with the rice plates! This place is very clean and the staff was really nice and helpful.

Service extremely slow. One waitress and I think only one cook. We waited about 20 mins for our food once we ordered. Food was good tho and pipping hot.

I have been craving Pad Thai for the longest! I finally decided to try this place out during my lunch time and I’ve got to say I was impressed. I ordered Pad Thai special(I added eggplant), it was simply delicious. I think the best one I’ve had to date. This is a small size restaurant with a doggy grooming place next door. As I was eating I could hear dog whimpering and light barking, it didn’t bother me though. I will most definitely come back to eat here, probably during lunch though. I can imagine this place getting busy for dinner.

Let me justify my one star. Too many times on Unilocal you see one star ratings and then think, «how petty can these people be?» I hope that I justify this rating by how it took to get our food and the lack of communication about the delays. We arrived at 6:45 to a half full restaurant. There are only a total of 32 seats. It took about 5 or 6 minutes to place our order, pad kee mow and an eggplant basil. During this time a table of four sat immediately behind us. Over the next 15 minutes the remainder of the tables fill and people who sat down after us begin to get apps and entrees, including the table of four. People who entered after us now collected their checks. 30 minutes have passed and our waiter came by with complimentary spring rolls and apologized. Still there is no conversation about why the delay or how much longer. The spring rolls did not taste good. They were mushy. After 40 minutes from entry I went to the front to discuss the wait. I was told that they had one of our dishes and was waiting for the other. That it would be out immediately. They did deliver the eggplant, but the noodle was another 5 or 6 minutes. Both dishes were not hot especially the eggplant, like it sat on the counter for a little while. The reason for the delay, as it was explained to me, is that the chef only has one burner. Why did others get their food first? They all ordered curry made by a different cook with more burners. In the end the food was fine. It was not the best or the worst. They don’t offer green papaya salad. What Thai place does not offer green papaya? It was also a little in the pricey side. What did I learn today? Even 72 hours after this dinning experience I am still disappointed.

Good flavor, but overcooked the pad see ew($ 10) to the point where the noodles were mushy and falling apart. The Angel chicken wings($ 10) were good. The Thai iced tea($ 3) was too sweet. Strong tea flavor, but too sweet. Service was average and we even had to get the waitress when the entire restaurant was empty on a Saturday night. Didn’t even check in on us to see if we were ready to order. Tons of people do takeout and another couple joined us in the dining room area. Meh.

Amazing food! BBQ pork was some of the best I have ever had. Added some chili sauce to the angel wings and was in heaven! Gonna come back and try their curry.

We’ve been coming here for many years. Always good food — consistent and yummy. They make the best pad thai and pad seeow and the fish volcano is our go to dish. Anything with the penang curry is our favorite. Great service. One of the best Thai food restaurants with consistent tastes.

After my experiences at several Thai restaurants around the Bay Area, this is the best. I have yet to find any Thai places that is better than Savanh. Their curries are the best and they aren’t stingy on your meat of choice. Their servings guarantee you aren’t going to leave unsatisfied. They’re so generous and the prices are reasonable. Waitresses are kind and swift and after being a regular here, I have never had an issue with waiting. Try the yellow curry with beef and pad see ew, my favorites!

I’ve lived in the Bay Area all my life and this is by far my favorite Thai food place! I get the yellow curry with potatoes, peas, and carrots only with white rice and peanut sauce. I also get the tofu grub! The service is always great and the owners are sincerely sweet. I love this place!

Savanh is a hidden gem! Make sure you get the Angel Wings for appetizer! Super yummy! Delicious Tom Kha too! Portions are decent for the price. Quick service. A little weird layout of the restaurant but hey, whatever works, right? Would definitely come back and try other stuff from their menu.

Absolutely my favorite restaurant in the entire Bay Area. Their food is incredible. Some of our favorites are the egg rolls, chow Mein, cucumber salad. But the must have here is most definitely Tofu Grob, you have to try it. The fried tofu is deliciously crispy, and the fried basil leaves on top give an extra flavor sensation. Nothing bad to say about this place. Food is great, service is good and they’re fast as well. Love this place

This restaurant is substandard for Thai. Menu is not average Thai and has a combo of Chinese food. I asked for some soy sauce and they gave me a bowl of packets. That was my first tip this place was classy. They use mini shrimp in dishes and the ingredients are not good quality. Very expensive for the quality. Please go to Do Sit Thai about 1 mile away. That restaurant is out of this world and skip this one.
