Beauty Shack has a new owner, Susan. The shop is filled with great products… she even carries the Deva line, which I used to have to buy on Amazon and her prices are better. My hairdresser is still here, Mali. and now the shop is even nicer!

I’ve lived in PDR for nearly 4 years and have always been aggravated by the lack of salon options in our community. I refuse to spend over $ 100 for a haircut, which left me with few options on the west side of Inglewood. Until today.
I’ve seen Beauty Shack and always thought it was a low-​rent beauty supply store. Boy, was I wrong. They actually have hairdressers and upscale products for hair and skin. My cut was done by Mali. She was fantastic. She had some great suggestions, and was really friendly without being obnoxious.
But one of the best things is that it was so cheap. My cut would normally have been $ 35, but this month they have a 10% off deal!
I would definitely recommend going, and I love my cut. Mali was great.

I get my hair cut here by Heidi. Heidi is a professional and knows her stuff. I have never been 100% happy with a cut until Heidi. Stylists have a habit of doing what they want, cutting it too short etc. We girls know how important a good haircut is.
Graces shelves are stocked very well. You can find most everything. Thanks again, Heidi for the great cuts.

Although it’s so great to have something like this around the corner, I’ve been in there 5 times and only bought something once, because I was desperate. It is just way over priced for my blood.
Twice I ran in there hoping to grab a couple of cute little things to throw in a gift bag and give to someone; however, I just couldn’t find enough little inexpensive things to throw together, everything was just too expensive.

So glad this place is here! Parking is easy, I don’t have to fight crowds and other people for a parking space and then walk 10 minutes to the door. Heidi does my long hair and is super accommodating and flexible. Sometimes I text her on short notice asking her to dry cut my damaged ends because I’m in a hurry. She’s great with color too and she does Brazilian blowouts, all at probably half the cost of what I’d pay at some stuck up froo froo salon!

I just stopped in to pick up a facial scrubber/​buff puff. Bth woman were sitting on the couch eating out of large open bag of potato chips. One yelled over «hey I do fracials» while the other one sold me a five dollar powder puff??? Horrible stupid woman!!! Stay away!!!

I have been coming to Heidi at the beauty shack for a few years now and I’ve never been happier with my hair. She is professional and very talented. It’s hard for me to get my hair done in this economy, but the level of service and reasonable prices keep me coming back:) I definitely recommend the beauty shack for all of your product and services needs.

I’m soooo glad the Beauty Shack is here! Great for last minute gifts, hair/​makeup needs, jewelry, nails, etc. and the salon– Heidi is phenomenal with color and cuts– at other places, I’ve paid three times the amount for a much lesser result.

Buyer beware: Beauty Shack is a TOTAL RIP OFF with bad service.
I always prefer to support local businesses, so when I needed to replace a pair of Wahl clippers I stopped to see if Beauty Shack had them. They said they normally had them in inventory, but were temporarily out of stock. No problem. They told me they’d put in an order and have them in two days.
I went back in two days, they acted like they didn’t know what I was talking about, and they asked me what I needed again. So, I reminded them what I wanted, gave them my contact info again, and left.
Finally, a week after I was told it «would take two days,» I got a call saying my item was back in stock. When I went back (my third trip to the store), the clerk rang the item up and the cash register flashed $ 32. Then, she quickly tapped a few more keys and the total changed to $ 70. I asked her if she could verify the price, because the same clippers sold on Amazon for $ 36. She said that maybe I «should just order them from Amazon,» but added the backhanded comment: «I just hope it’s the right thing.»
I went home, looked the Wahl clippers up on Amazon, bought them brand new for $ 36, and got free shipping to boot!
My guess is: Beauty Shack forgot to order the clippers, and when I went back to follow up they must have ordered them with overnight shipping. Then, instead of owning up to their mistake, tried to pass that $ 30-​$ 40 overnight shipping cost along to me. Sorry Beauty Shack – it’s called customer service. When you make a mistake, you have to be responsible.
Now that I think of it, every time I went back to that store it was empty. There were never any customers. Says a lot!

This used to be a good supply shop. It underwent a remodel. Now, they don’t carry basic stuff like Gigi All Purpose Honee wax, etc. They have morphed into something between an accessories store and high end beauty products. I found it to be worthless for everyday stuff like waxing, shampoos, hair dyes, skin products. If I want high-​end, overpriced products, I can go to Macys. Beauty shops are supposed to sell wholesale rate beauty products to public, not be accessory stores with some useful stuff on the side.
In addition, the erstwhile friendly staff was replaced by decorative girls too young to know the meaning of service, with a snotty attitude. I’m not coming back here again!

All these years I’ve been going to far beauty supply stores because I never heard of this one?!
The store carries an extensive collection of the Dermalogica brand, as well as many other skin/​hair products.
They also have a bunch of nail goodies. More than quantity, they have a lot of variety.
There’s a mini hair salon in the back.

I really like this beauty shop. They have a good selection of hair product and makeup. Particularly LOVE the fact that the shop owner gives you great recommendations for your skin type/​hair type. I’ve NEVER been sold to, unless I ask for her opinion. Also, she introduced me to the Artiba brand of makeup, which is lovely and affordable!
