If I could give less than one star I would. My electric gate stopped working and I got a quote for about $ 650 to fix the electric opener and replace the track. Adam came by and simply called the company of the opener and got it working without replacing the track but still charged me over $ 700. He gave me a written contract that if it stops working again he would come and fix it. Just a few days later the chain popped. I called Adam and we actually set up a time for him to go look at the gate but he never showed. I called him and texted him and emailed him several times but he never responded. Finally, I had to hire a different company who fixed the chained and readjusted the opener for $ 115. Adam is totally a scam artist and I would recommend avoiding him at all costs. There are so many fence companies around just do yourself a favor and pick anyone but this one. Trust me, you will save yourself grief and money.

The initial fence installation around my pool was average at best but overall fence was functional. The welding of gate latches was done poorly and there were many scuffs and scratches but work was acceptable. However, soon after installation the poles began to tilt and fence became increasingly less sturdy and gates would not close automatically and eventually at all. They said there was a year warranty but they will not respond to my repeated attempts over past 9 months. I gave up on them and had another fence company fix their sub par work. Adam is dishonest and unreliable and frankly does average at best work and does not honor his warranty or word.
Definitely a company I would avoid.

Absolute worst work ever done. I have never written a review before, but this guy is such a scam artist it is worth writing about. DO NOT ever use this company for anything!!!

I wish I had read these reviews before I had Adam install a gate in my wrought iron fence. He misaligned the latch and the gate won’t stay closed. I have repeatedly called and initially was promised he would come make the adjustment but he never did. Now all my calls go directly into voicemail and are not returned. In my humble opinion he is a thief who should be avoided like the plague,

Once again more bulls_​_​t by Adam. It took him two months to answer my original review. He is right that I had left the area but was obligated to the new owners to get the fence put back up. Adam called me and said due to damage to the wrought iron he would need additional money to compete the job. I agreed and told him to send me the revised contract. That was the last I ever heard from him. Would not response to calls or text or even to registered letter sent to him. He remarked about unprofessfionism. He is correct. If he chose not to finish his work why didn’t he refund the money paid.
He is the most unprofessional business person I have ever met. Look at all the reviews on him. Seems to be a general theme from his past customers. But according to Adam its always someone else’s fault. Time for Adam to get a reality check. If you use him do so at your own risk.

Long story short, my fence had wind damage, decided to have the wood post replaced
with metal.
Adam started job late and over a month ago
Fence looks 10 times worse then before
Never finished job, very argumentive.
Brings his dog on site and does not clean up after him.
I could go on an on…
I decided to not have him come back, just eat my loss, and fix it myself.
Lesson learned

I hate saying bad things BUT I know if I was looking for reviews I would want to know the good, bad and ugly. First I thought this could finally be the fair and affordable Fence service. Nice guy (Adam) initially but if you critique anything get ready to have your head chopped off by his temper and argumentative response. Would not return calls or finish his work. For me — rude + unfinished work = not worth the savings. Wished I had read these reviews sooner — I wouldn’t have done business with him.

BUYER BEWARE! RIPOFF!
Adam Hammons is a crook! He took my deposit of $ 800 and disappeared. It has been over a month and not a word he will not return phone messages or emails.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH HIM.
Not even worthy of one star but it is mandatory to have at least one to post.
P. S. This is not a mistake I live in California and this fence was for my rental property in Plano.

Wow– I wish I had read these review before I started my iron fence. The work was shoddy-​welding done incorrectly, rusted after the first rain and caps are missing. My contractor and a new iron company could not believe how poorly the fence was done.
I mistakenly trusted Adam because he is a veteran and seemingly nice guy but he took our money and refused to come back to repair our problems. I tried numerous phone calls and emails to him and he told me he was too busy to come out! Really???
We were duped. You need to look elsewhere for iron fencing!

Update: Had another fence guy come out today to help me with a problem I was having with the gate Adam installed last week. He pointed out, from placement of the motor to how he ran the ground wire and all points in between, everything Adam had done shoddy or just wrong (just about everything except for the fact the electric motor itself was a quality motor). He also told me I waaaay overpaid Adam for his «service.»
So, basically I got taken like a mark at a county fair by Adam Hammons’ Red Rock Fence Company. Live and learn.
In my previous review I’d said if you’re okay with the possibility of getting yelled at, hung up on, lied to, and having your phone calls not returned, then Adam Hammons’ Red Rock Fence Company did an okay job on the gate itself. But it turns out I was wrong about that. It seems his work is as bad as his customer service and his attitude towards his fellow human beings. Good luck with that business model.

If you enjoy having your work completed weeks late, hundreds of dollars over the quote because of their error, and getting yelled at over the phone and hung up on, Adam Hammons at Red Rock Fence should be first on your list!
I could go into the whole story but it’s dull. What it boils down to is that while he seems perfectly capable of doing the work, he is not capable of running a business. When the job was delayed because the motor hadn’t come in yet, we said nothing. When he ordered the wrong motor and refused to negotiate on the additional costs of his error, we got a bit miffed but worked through it. When the job was done but he only provided us one remote control (despite stating we would receive two in writing) I was satisfied when he said he’d drop the other one by later. When the remote hadn’t materialized later that day, I called the next morning and found out «later» for him meant Wednesday of the next week. This is when things took a turn.
I expressed my frustration that the job was already two weeks late and without the second remote my husband and I can’t use the gate effectively. To this he yelled at me –like you would to a dog or a child. When I tried to speak he would yell over me. Then he hung up on me. This isn’t just unprofessional but also a little scary.
My husband called him later to offer to meet him somewhere Monday and get the remote from him and he eventually agreed. Guess who didn’t answer my husband’s phone calls Monday? Luckily, remotes aren’t that hard to come by and we can certainly get our own. The actual damage done is just the sheer amount of stress and disrespect we felt dealing with this guy; I hope I can save some Unilocalers from being treated this way!

Stay away from this company. I called for an estimate to fix a damaged white wooden picket fence. They said they would install but not paint, and would charge $ 25 for the estimate. «Brendan» said he wanted to come out the following week. I said I wasn’t sure I would use his company because of the painting issue, so CALL before coming for the estimate. Sure enough, he called after he did the estimate. And to make matters worse, he called during a family funeral. I told him he was interrupting but he didn’t apologize or get off the phone, he just kept talking. I told him he was supposed to call and I decided I didn’t want to use Redrock because of the painting issue. He became angry. HE NEVER DID GIVE ME THE ESTIMATE, BUT SENT THE BILL FOR $ 25 TO MY HOME THE NEXT DAY! As I said — stay far away from this company.

Well, I would prefer to write a better review. Called them on Tuesday to repair fence blown down by high winds. Set appt to be here between 9−10am on Wednesday with his wife who was dropping the kids at school and then coming right over. Never heard a peep until a VM on my cell phone around 6:30 or so in the evening when I was at church.
Part of a small service business is keeping your commitments. If you can’t get here to give me an estimate when I have adapted my schedule to be home for you, do you think I’d risk using your service for a significant repair? Sadly, many repair/​contractors think this is okay. Thankfully, we have Unilocal now to publicly warn others about using their service.

Adam and his crew demolished and replaced over 100 feet of fence on our property. They built a beautiful stained cedar horizontal fence with a large 8′ gate. Initially, we were a little unsatisfied with the appearance of the gate, but Adam was easy to get in touch with and listened to my concerns. He assured me that customer service was the focus of his business and the next morning, Adam was out there himself fixing our gate. The final product was exactly want we wanted — and most importantly, my wife was happy! His crew was professional and friendly. They listened to us, explained the work, and spoke English. Price was equal or slightly less that 2 other bids we received for the same work. Overall, A+. We would use this company again.

We had 5 sections of our fence blow down during a weekend storm. Adam was out there the next day to do a better-​than-​new repair job.
Red Rock Fence is the only place I’m willing to consider for any & all fence related work at my home.
