Business Owner

I have been in the hair industry for over 16 years. After completing an apprenticeship in 1995 and working in a very busy uptown salon in Dallas, I relocated to New York City in 1999, to work on my craft. I worked in Manhattan in a busy Upper West Side Salon for 3 years, while working with and training other stylists from all over the world. I returned to Dallas in 2003 and worked several more years in the Uptown area. I have been working in the Frisco and Plano area since 2006, which has brought me to Imagique Hair & Spa.

Melanie takes the time to listen and make suggestions on styles that would work well based on your hair’s natural texture. She takes care of you from start to finish and uses the best products for your hair type. She’s great with color, highlighting, Brazilian blowouts, and cuts. She’s amazing! Melanie’s salon is conveniently located and parking is easy. I do recommend scheduling an appointment in advance. She’s also been great working me into her cancellation schedule when I need it.

Melanie has been styling my hair for at least the last 4 or 5 years and she is über talented! Whether color, cut or brazilian blowout– I always leave the salon loving my hair! This last weekend I had another amazing color, highlight and cut. The compliments from friends and family about my hair have NOT stopped! I just smile, say thanks and say it’s all Melanie! You will NOT be disappointed! And bonus – she’s also a hard working independent business owner. She is very friendly and it’s always fun to chat with her while she is working her magic. The only drawback— she is so good, her schedule is packed!

Melanie has been cutting and coloring my hair for several years now and I never get anything other than compliments on it. If we, emphasis on we” decide to make changes in the style she always walks me through on styling tips. I’ve recommended her to other people who have loved her as much as I do.

Melanie is A-​MAZING! I got a Brazilian Blowout done by her and my hair looks and FEELS LUXURIOUS! Melanie is such a sweetheart. She really listens to her clients, easy going and considerate (checks up if you want anything to drink or if the room is too hot or cold)
She makes time fly with all her knowledge about hair and things in general.

I have known Melanie for years and she is always professional and friendly. She knows just how to make a style and color work for you. I have never walked away disappointed and never expect to. I went to school for beauty as well and am VERY picky on who does my hair… I absolutely LOVE everything she has ever done!!! Highly recommended!!!
