Leveno Joseph K MD

I researched before I chose Dr. Leveno about 6 years ago and I am happy to say I am so pleased that we went with him. He delivered both of my boys and both times were great experiences. Dr. Leveno is very professional and has amazing bedside manner. I have found in the past that I have had «pushy» OBGYNs and he is just the opposite. He is very informative and generally lays out the various options you have and leaves the decisions in your hands. Also, this may sound silly but he never gives me the impression that he needs to be somewhere else or that he is rushing during my office visits.
His staff is so genuine, Dawnette treats you like you are part of the family. She is really a treasure, I look forward to seeing her when I schedule my appointments. The other thing I love is that his sonographer is on site. My appointments are usually scheduled around my lunch breaks from work and the wait time is generally less than 10 minutes. Also, to my knowledge he only delivers at Medical Center Plano (where his office is located) so that to me was also a huge plus, it meant that he wasn’t going to be stuck at another hospital while I was going into labor.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Leveno’s for years, and have always found him sensitive and informative. I’m currently 32 weeks pregnant, and am so thankful to have such a skilled OBGYN. His entire staff is wonderful. I feel like everyone goes out of their way to make sure I’m getting top-​notch care.

Dr Leveno definitely tells it as it is for the best interest of the patient. He reccommended that I watch my diet and increased my activity level when I had gained too much weight. I had a smooth experience with my pregnancy and delivery of a healthy baby boy.

I see Becky Jacobs in his office. The staff is always super helpful and Becky is wonderful. I would highly recommend this office.

I completely disagree with Diana’s review. I did not have a gynecologist in Plano, but desperately needed one in an emergency. I called his office, and his wonderful staff squeezed me in. That was years ago, and he has been my gynecologist ever since.
Everyone in his office is caring and kind. Dr. Leveno is a professional paid to be honest with you about your health and options.

This OBGYN started out very nice. Until he found out I had a gastric bypass. He made several negative comments about my weight and my decision to have surgery. He went so far as to make comments on my son’s weight (he is nine and not overweight but stocky) in front of my son. Then when I missed my preop blood work appt. (I had food poisoning) he cancelled my surgery and dropped me as a patient the same day I missed my appointment. You may be thinking there’s more to this story… but your wrong… I kept my mouth shut while he insulted me, because frankly finding out if I had a tumor on my ovary is more important to me than being rude to him. He seemed so wonderful on the surface until he found something in my history or life he did not agree with. I felt so judged. He’s allowed to have his opinions but I believe it shouldn’t affect how he treats a patient.
