Business Owner

Since early childhood, Yhamel was attracted to the world of beauty and esthetics. As a young adult, she started her studies of fashion designer in Argentina.

Her professional life took an unexpected turn when she arrived in the USA in 2000. As a new immigrant, she started working in the heart of Washington DC at a beauty salon and was in charge of cleaning. She knew for sure that the position would be temporary while she continued to pursue a career in fashion, without knowing that one day the world of hair, color, and style would become her ultimate passion.

In 2006 Yhamel moved to Plano, Texas, where with her artistic vision and impeccable attention to detail, she specialized in the popular line of hair extensions by Great Lengths, and continued her education with the renowned stylist Kim Vo.

Yhamel is very proud of her Bolivian and Latin American roots and she is also thankful for the opportunities that the US has offered her. She speaks fluent English and Spanish.

I feel blessed to have found Yhamel after trying a number of stylists around Plano when my former hairstylist moved away. She’s a Rock Star with hair, plus her personality and the ease with which she treats YOUR needs is unparalleled. She really listens… which can be rare in the business. Her cuts and styling are precise and special. I’m from New York City and have had my hair cut by the best – Sassoon, Paul Mitchell, you name it– and I rate Yhamel with the highest praise for her talent, personality and love for what she does, which show in how carefully she works and how she treats her client. No diva, but with the talent to be one! The best way to put it is – a service with her is a unique and special pleasure you’ll look forward to!

Yhamel is sooo talented. I just love that she is such a perfectionist!!! She is so fun and sweet. She makes you look like a hair model! This gal knows her stuff. Normally I don’t take the time to post reviews online or through social media, but I think that Yhamel’s work deserves it. I just want to tell you, if you are looking for a beautiful, natural, healthy, blonde experience, don’t go to another place that will just bleach your hair. I have tried many other stylists and could never seem to find someone like Yhamel. She knows exactly what to do to create true three-​dimensional highlights. I’ve been going to her almost two years and my hair has never been so nice and healthy. She is a great colorist!

Yhamel is a master with color. She does a great job selecting the right color for your skin tone. I’ve been going to her for over a year for haircuts and color. She will also tell you the truth whether your hair is over processed with highlights, etc. She will take the time to explain what options are best (present/​future) to maintain healthy hair. She is meticulous and wants her clients to be satisfied. She actually takes pride in her work, which is rare these days with stylists. Thanks Yhamel.
