The place is in a strip mall and doesn’t face a major road, so it’s a bit tricky to find. Anyway, I had the regular 1⁄3 pound burger while my son got the patty melt. We shared a large order of fries. I liked the burger itself — very juicy & tasty — but was not so impressed with the bun or toppings. The patty melt was very good and the jalapenos gave it a nice extra punch. The fries were quite plain and below average in my opinion. No problems with service during our visit. [Stop #10 on The Great DFW Burger Quest]

A good little burger joint. It’s not the best by far but for the price it’s hella better than the Mickey Dees in the adjacent parking lot, and the fries are pretty good also. I would rank it at least in my top 10 for burgers in the area. The burgers are fresh, hand formed ground beef patties, well seasoned. Service has always been good, stomach has always left full. No complaints from me.

This place has captured my taste of home made Texas style burgers. If your looking for a mouth watering burger than this is the place you wanna be! I would recommend their mushroom and Swiss 1\2 pound burger and oooh you can’t miss out on their cheesy cheese fries!

I’m sorry, but it’s just not that good. First off… don’t get the blue cheese. Yikes. I realize cheese is mold and blue especially, but this cheese just had a super rank smell. And yes, I also know blue cheese has distinct smell. But not this smell. Also… ordered reg burger and it came out with just cheese on it. Had to send back. So I just paid $ 7 for a «cheese» burger that I scraped all the cheese off of… and a sub-par burger at that.

A pretty authentic burger joint that reminds you of the good old fashioned burger. Cheap burgers for a lot of quality meat. The burgers are available in half pound, third of a pound, and a quarter of a pound. There is also the option if getting a bunless burger, which I tried today. It was a pile of meat with onions cheese and other vegetables. The place sports many signs that display that they were voted the best burger in Plano and McKinney, it’s a little hard to see why.

Pretty good burgers(we had cheeseburgers and chicken) with fresh ingredients. Fries were great but the fried pickles were over-fried. Not bad for the money.

This is one of the very best burgers in town. Reminds me of a perfect small town burger in a perfect small town café. Throw some tator tots in the basket and call it a perfect day.

I’ve had better burgers. The patties were a little salty. Kennys burgers are better and my fav so far. The cookies and cream shake was slurpy, should be thick, they probably make them slurpy because the straws are way too skinny for shakes. Get bigger straws. It’s an ok burger. I would have liked to try the cheese chili fries but $ 7 is way expensive. Make a $ 350 small chilling cheese size. The $ 5 half order is still too expensive. Better than McDonald’s but not the best in my book.

My wife and I went here a few days ago. I got the chicken fried steak sandwich and she got a burger. The food was pretty good. The preparation of the food however lack a little. All of the vegetables on the sandwich were stacked in the middle instead of spread over the sandwich as the dressing was all in one part of the bun. You might expect this going to a fast food restaurant but not a place like this. Also, I was extremely disappointed that they did not have Diet Dr Pepper. As popular as Dr Pepper is in the state of Texas you would think they would have it. Not sure if I’ll be back but if I do I will bring my own soft drink.

Hadn’t tried this place in a few years and remembered why. It’s not the worst burger on the planet but nothing memorable either, so pretty average. Came in here to get a burger to-go. Settled on a mushroom and Swiss. After about 10 minutes, it was ready. I dove into it and the side of tots once I got home and it was like I said, average. Just nothing great from a flavor standpoint. Burger was pretty juicy but that was about it. Tots were OK but again, nothing special. For what they charge, their burgers should be a lot better.

Great little burger joint… the hamburgers are juicy. I love the ‘loaded fries’ and fried pickles. Tater tots are awesome too. My friend had a turkey burger and said it was very tasty. I hope to return soon.

Meh. Meh is the perfect way to describe this place. I’ve been coming here for years, it’s right around the corner from work and the prices are fairly reasonable for the quality. That was then. The last two times I have come here, the burgers were very under seasoned. Like, «all I can taste are the condiments, where’s the beef?» under seasoned. Maybe it’s just the quality of the beef, or conversely, they got some really kickin’ condiments? Anyway, I don’t think I’ll be coming here again, which is sad because I do have fond memories of when they WERE good. So long, JC’s, I’ll miss what you used to be.

First time ordering chili at this location, so i can’t speak to the other location off Bush, that i’m familiar with. They seem to have added Allspice or something of the sort, and it’s not really my thing. The burgers and fountain drinks were pretty good. The tots and fries were great as always. The staff was super friendly and attentive. Overall, a decent burger joint.

Ordered online via Eat24. Ordered a triple/triple with bacon that came without cheese(one missing triple there) and with turkey bacon. Cheese fries were limp and uninteresting but had pork bacon. Had ordered a grilled cheese kids meal with tots that came as kids chicken fingers with fries. Overall mediocre food.

Burger was ok. But that was it. They brought us wrong order to table then the chicken strips were dry and tasted like fish. Frying fish one rule applies. Do not fry anything else in the same oil or(as we experienced) food of course cones out tasting like fish. Might be back

JC Bugers what can I say? 1st I would give it zero stars if I could. I went here with my children on a Monday night because kids are supposed to eat for free. We arrived at this location at 8:25 p.m. We were looking at the menu board for about 1 minute the girl walked away from the register came back up front a few seconds later and told us they shut the grill off and that they would not serve us. I said you are open until 8:30 p.m. Correct she said yes I looked at my cell phone it was 8:26 p.m. And she told me they have already shut the grill off and they don’t have the ability to cook us food. No apology no will make it up to you next time no discount know anything of any courtesy just we won’t cook you any food. Needless to say we will never return to this establishment and I will post every negative comment on every social media website I can find.

You never have to wait to set down. Great friendly staff and best cooks around. Clean kitchen and you can see them cook your food
