Specialties

Eastside Dojo is a Judo dojo in Plano, Texas. Judo is a modern martial art and Olympic sport based on throws, pins and submission moves. Our classes offer a wide age range, from children to adults.

The Eastside Dojo is unlike any other. It offers a unique combination of physical and mental conditioning. This approach helps students to not only improve their physical conditioning, but their mental conditioning as well. The Dojo also ensures that students understand and develop the discipline needed to help them establish a healthy balance between individual competition and building through teamwork. Parents whose children attend classes at the Eastside Dojo are fans of this unique approach as many of their children had difficulty in school or other sports before coming to the dojo. They watch their children grow in strength physically, improve their mental strength and build strong characters. The testimonies are endless.

Reinforcing the commitment to a balance between healthy competition and much needed team spirit, the Eastside Dojo is affiliated with several of Texas’ best local Judo clubs as well as some of the sport’s governing bodies (both locally and internationally). Many of these affiliates provide a wealth of information for the development and practice of the sport of Judo as well as occasions to practice what was learned in competition. Therefore parents can rest assured that their children will be participating in Judo sessions of the highest quality.
