I’ve been to this location several times, and they’re always friendly and helpful.
Top-​notch service and typically in and out within 45 mins.

I have been to this location several times during the past 5 – 7 years. Although their staff has changed over time, they always remain professional, polite, nice welcoming, and busy! Don’t forget to get the insurance for about $ 10 per tire for road hazards, it has saved me quite a few tires over the years.

Excellent staff, Dakota was walking around ordering water and coffee to us. They got to my vehicle within 30 minutes.

I have been using these guys for many years– lots of new tires, a few repairs and replacements.
They are currently in «awesome» status in my book.
There was a short time they had a manager who seemed to only say «no» but he is long gone, and everything had been great for some time now. Today was no exception.

Terrible customer service. Talked down to me and smirked the entire conversation. Apparently, they think they are the gods of changing tires here. I have been to several and have had good service, but this one, not so good.

Very friendly and knowledgeable. I bought 4 tires here previously and they were great quality and have never steered me wrong (no pun intended).
Today, while it was pouring rain, my low air (tire) light came on while I was out driving. They saw me right away and we determined it just needed some air, not a leak or flat. So now 2 good experiences here.

Great job! My tire pressure light is on and I found a nail in my tire. They finished repairing in an hour even on Saturday. And FOR FREE! OMG! Also added air and rebalanced all of the four tires.

Little respect for your time and less consideration for you. Was told an hour and a half. It’s now an hour and a half and I’m looking at my car still parked in the parking lot. It hasn’t been touched. There are also four open stations. I suggest you find somewhere else to take your car. Their time is more valuable than yours.

While driving through the backwoods of Arkansas 2 weeks ago I picked up a nail and had a slow leak on one of my tires. I’ve been to different Discount Tire locations many times before for various vehicles and I knew that they were consistent in their quality and speed.
I showed up to Discount Tire in Plano at 10:30 and was out by 11:30 with a repaired tire for free. These guys do good work fast! I may not be a huge fan of chain restaurants, but when it comes to tire companies a chain can be a good thing.

I ran over something sharp and pointy that caused a slow leak in one of the tires on my car. Slow enough to have to add air once every 10 days or so. I was dreading taking in the car to have the tire repaired as the expectation was to sit in the waiting room for hours.
I finally had some time and took the car by DC and they had me in and out in under an hour. Warranty work, no money spent.
This is as good as it gets. Great location!

My car is 18 years old. So, it is not unexpected that some piddly little things might not work right. I bought a set of tires and made the appointment to have them installed today. The driver’s window of my car has been stuck down for several weeks (luckily, this is summer in Texas with NO rain), but I didn’t even think to ask if someone in the shop might be able to raise the window… They took the car into a bay, and I sat kicking myself for not asking, thought I’d ask when they told me the car was ready. BAM! They bring the car up to the waiting room, and the window is UP!!! BONUS? It had just begun to rain, too!
Thanks DT, your employees go above and beyond helping their customers. You’ve earned a loyal customer today, well, actually reaffirmed how right I am to be a loyal customer of DT.

Brought my Lexus is350 in with a very very large nail in my left rear tire.
Having custom rims and specialty tires to fit a very low profile arrangement, I’m immediately kicking myself for not adding the tire insurance 6mo ago when they were purchased. Lesson learned.
As I had imagined, Brian came back and informed me the nail/​bolt was way to large and could not safely repair the tire. A replacement tire had to be shipped from Michigan, UGH !
What a way to start my Monday morning ! What Brian’s Sims solution to the problem was to simply and quickly put a similar brand tire on, correct size of course, until my replacement tire arrived 3 – 4 days from today. Brian went a little bit further and said do to the relative newness of the tire (relative) that a brand new replacement would be afforded to me at no additional charge !!! I’m a long time costumer of discount tire as well as my family members and this is the reason why ! Many times, Discount tire has fixed, patched, stayed late, and provided myself and family above and beyond service ! Tires are expensive and I dread the cost .
All in all, the dread of said cost is greatly diminished by the standard of service I received at the Plano location with Brian Sims.
Word to the wise, tire insurance is a valuable option to consider when the cost can be as much as $ 300 to replace, considering the balancing and disposal along side.
Sooooo, a very long overdue review of Discount tire and Brian Sims, who I’ve seen previously with other issues, and left feeling more than satisfied !!!

I’ve use DT for all tire purchases since 1988. They have always treated me right and on the off chance I found tires cheaper elsewhere they always beat the price.
Beware though if you are planning on using rebates. The employees (even manager) are not very well informed on how DT rebates work in addition to tire manufacturer rebates. They are not the same thing. Yes, you can stack rebates.
Example:
Buy 4 Yokohama tires.
You qualify for the following rebates
$ 60 Yokohama rebate
$ 100 DT 4^th of July sales event rebate
$ 50 DT 4^th of July sales rebate for using the Car Care One card.
Employees at this location argued with me over these rebates. I went home after installation of my new tires and researched and found out they were wrong. When I returned and showed them what I had found they were quite apologetic

This has to be one of the best Discount Tire locations in North Dallas. I’ve gone here since college and have always been treated with respect and courtesy.
What do I like most about this location? I think they have 8 bays.

Bays are where they put your car when they’re replacing your tires. The more bays they have, the more people they serve at the same time. That makes your wait much shorter.
I showed up this past week and needed some tires for my beater, nothing special, just needed some new kicks for the skylark. I didn’t want to spend much and made a point of making sure Shay knew what I wanted.
«Hi, I talked to James on the phone and he said y’all had some 195/60/15’s. I just need two because the cords are showing.»
Shay: «Okay sir, well, we can get you those tires, all said and done around $ 130.»
«Hmm. that’s not bad… Alright, let’s go ahead and do that.»
«Let me check your tires and see if there’s anything else we can do for you.»
«That’s all I need, thanks.»
«I’ll need to write down the mileage and take car information anyway. Could I have your keys?»
So I give him my keys and he goes off and checks and comes back.
«Sir, one of your other tires is really old and is starting to separate. If you’d like, I can get you a whole set of tires for just…» *clicky clicky clicky* «… $ 184…
«Really? For just $ 50 more, you’ll give me 4 tires? Sure. Let’s do it.»
I gave him my keys and paid and he said, «It’ll take about 45 minutes.»
I went off to the Home Depot nearby and wandered the aisles for about 30 minutes and got tired of looking at all the home improvement items and decided to walk back. On my stroll, I noticed that the ‘lark was already parked out in the parking lot.
Yup, it was done. It doesn’t get easier than this.
Normally I just need one tire, so I’ll bring up the tire and drop it off and come back to pick up up when it’s convenient.
Discount used to patch tires for free, I heard they don’t anymore unless you’ve purchased the tires from them. You’ll need to check with them to see. I patch my own tires. By the time you could drive to and back from Discount, I’d have the tire patched. It’s a good skill to learn.

I have been going to this location for years, and I have never been disappointed. In fact, everytime I’ve gone anywhere else, I’ve been downright irritated with the service. That’s why I drove out of my way today during the beginning of rush hour to get new tires. Turns out, I didn’t even need new tires. Mine were not as old as I thought, and the one tire that was a problem had a nail in it. Discount Tires repaired my tire and checked the pressure in the other three and sent me on my way without charging me a dime.
Thank you, Bryce. I guarantee, when I really do need new tires, I won’t buy them anywhere else!

My parents have been going to Discount Tire since they opened their first store in Clear Lake, TX in 1978 and they have passed this loyalty down to me.
This is the ONLY place/​chain to take your car for tire care! The guys that work there are true gentlemen. It seems like they send all the guys through a customer service training class but the manners and customer service and quality of work they offer is above saving $ 10 at the big box store down the road that shall not be named. Discount gives it to you straight forward and they do not try to rake you over the coals or dupe you into buying something you don’t need.
Recently I went there for a FREE tire rotation and balance and the gentleman working on my car noticed that my tires are in bad condition. He let me know and told me the price and since I may be buying a new car I told him that I will be back next week.
My ONLY recommendation is that if you are going for a tire rotation and balance make an appointment. I did this on Tuesday and it took less than 30 minutes where as some people were waiting 45 minutes to an hour.
Within the past 3 years they have started providing free water and coffee in the waiting area. They have always had a great selection of magazines to read. If you have an interest, they have the magazine. They have the sports and car mags for the guys and they have the girlie mags as well as parenting mags! …And ladies, the eye candy is great!

And, no, that’s not Ebonics-​Ghetto-​Slang for take you for a ride. They really will rotate your tires. And they fill them up with air too. For Free!
