Well, gave her another try. At least it was a pleasant visit, even if they don’t carry feet for Brother sergers. Yes, only sewing machine feet. And no offer to order it for me. Oh well, I’ll go online again.
But I must warn you about the store dog. It’s unleashed, yippy, overly friendly, jumps on all visitors (mailman included) and barks a lot. If allergic, now you know.

I have been going here for over 17 years, starting back when it was Carl’s Sewing. Purchased all my machines, taken classes, purchased items, and have had my machines repaired here. Always excellent service, never once a problem. I would recommend CompuSew. Many people here complain about the owner, Carol. She comes across as gruff, but has a heart of gold. Today I was in the store again, first time in probably 2 years, and nothing has changed: the store is clean, has a huge selection of machines and attachments, the employee’s, including Carol, were there and every single one of them were as helpful and nice as could be. Don’t listen to those that won’t take the time to look past the exterior and see that they do care, are trying to help, and really very nice people.

If I could rate this company with a zero or negative number I would. I was referred to Compusew by Brother Corporation to repair a product that is covered by warranty. I brought my product in and wasn’t greeted at all. The older lady that was there was rude and I felt as if I were a bother to her. I said hello and I was instructed to set my serger on the counter.
I was then asked what was wrong with it. I advised the tension dial on the upper looper wasn’t working. She told me I didn’t know how to set my tension on the machine. When I showed her the tension dial would not turn, she told me she didn’t have the parts to repair the machine.
I asked if someone could open the machine to see if parts would need to be repaired, she said no. She knew they didn’t have the parts to fix it. They wouldn’t even open the machine. She acted as if she didn’t want my business at all.
After I left, I called back and asked her name so that I could report my experience to Brother Global direct. She told me if I really wanted leave the machine I should have said so. When I asked her name she hung the phone up in my face.
I have never been so offended. It’s situations like these where one wonders if I was treated this way because of my race, because that type of behavior for a repair business is so uncalled for.
If you can, skip this company and go to a different company.

I took my Brother Quattro there for some warranty work. (I was directed to this store by Brother). From the moment I arrived, it was clear that since I didn’t purchase my machine at her store, she was not interested in helping me get the machine fixed. She made a phone a call and informed me it was going to be «time consuming.» When my receipt did not contain my name, she informed me I would have to call the store that sold me the machine for a different receipt or have them do the warranty work (never mind that store was in another state). After a discussion with Brother directly, we were able to take my machine to the Denton Sewing Center, who were more than happy to help service my machine. I am an avid sewer and quilter who spends quit a bit of money on my passion. It is safe to say, I will not be taking any of business to this store.

Best prices! Friendly Service! I live in Frisco and I make the drive out there to get my supplies b/​c they are better than Jo-​Anns or Hobby lobby! I got an sewing/​embroidery machine from them and when they told me the price I thought yeah right you are just trying to tell me it’s the best price I could get the machine for. They are a licensed Brother retailer and I called every store w/​in a 60 mile radius and asked their prices on the machine and Compusew price was $ 100 better than any of theirs! I was impressed. Also if you buy a machine they have training classes on how to use it! The two ladies who run it know what they are doing and what they are talking about and you can tell that they love what they do!

Well, I will be honest, my experience was limited, but it was GREAT so YAY I am a fan. Okay, I have to admit my serger broke sometime in December and I just didn’t bother taking it in for repair. Then, of course I ran into a time I needed it ASAP, desperately! My husband took it into Compusew, explained the situation and the time crunch, and they had it fixed (and cleaned as well) the next day! They pretty much saved my ass.
