I don’t get to breakfast very often due to my schedule but Uncle Bob’s had been on my list to try and I finally got around to it. I ordered the pierogi and eggs with a side of well done corned beef hash. Everything was excellent. The pierogi were nicely sauteed in butter and onions along with some tasty diced keilbasa. The corned beef hash was the star though for me. I’ve ordered well done corned beef hash 100’s of times in my life and the amount of times it’s actually ben prepared to my liking is less than 10. Uncle Bob’s nailed it. And this is not hash from a can either. It’s made in house and while it may have more garlic than i’m used to in a hash, it in no way detracted from the dish. Great breakfast and I will certainly be back for more.

This is a fabulous little breakfast joint. When you don’t need frou-frou, this is the place to go to. I stopped reading the menu when I got to eggs and pierogies. Are you serious? Pierogies for breakfast? Yes!!! Service — excellent thanks to Sandie and the food was average, but fast, well priced, hot and fresh. What else do you need for breakfast. Sandie our waitress turned eating breakfast into an experience. Anyone can drop a plate of food on your table, it takes a great person to turn an average meal into a very memorable part of your day. Thank you Sandie! We will definitely return when we are in the area!

Found this place by Unilocaling, imagine that. Had a corn beef reuben cause I love them. Honest to God it was the best reuben I’ve ever had. Cole slaw was good too, chips eh, pickle eh. Waitress was friendly and courteous, doesn’t get much better than that. Definitely returning when in town.

Thank you uncle Bob! First time ever eating uncle Bob’s. Usually we would go out for breakfast but since our 2 year old was cranky and needed a nap we couldn’t really go out. So most people wouldn’t order breakfast to go because it’s just not the same when you get home. I needed my Sunday breakfast fix. We live in Farmington so anything that’s breakfast seems kinda far. Upon looking at good ol trusty Unilocal we saw that uncle Bob’s had great reviews and everything looked tasty. I called and a very nice woman answered the phone. I asked what her breakfast specials where and she had no problem telling me all the specials. Then I asked if they had a Web site so could see the rest of the menu. She said they didn’t have a Web site but they had fb and also offered to text me the entire menu. I was blown away. Who takes time to text someone the entire menu. She didn’t seem bothered or inconvenienced at all. So she texted me the menu and I wanted everything lol. The prices for what you are getting seemed very reasonable. I then called her to order. I got the breakfast burrito special that comes with home fries $ 8. My husband got the Irish scramble special comes with home fries and toast $ 8.75. He also ordered a side of delicious sausage links 4 for $ 2.75. My son got the cheese burger which was hand pressed and huge. It came with homemade chips Coleslaw and a pickle $ 4.95. I was nervous when my husband got home with the food because as I said breakfast to go isn’t always good. Let me tell you all of it was amazing and we where very pleased. The home fries are out of this world. I’m pretty sure the bread for the toast is homemade. I think that it’s important to reiterate that not only was the food good but the customer service was above and beyond. Thank you uncle Bob’s you have new customers who will be repeat patrons.

Uncle Bobs is just all around fantastic. The food kind of has that home cooked feel to it and that is meant in the best way possible. You can tell the ingredients are very fresh and that the food is prepared with care. Also, the food was cooked very quickly, which is also a big plus. The service was excellent. Very attentive and friendly. I will definitely be going back.

I don’t give out 5 stars easily… But this place really deserves it! Friendly and grateful staff, wonderful service and I have yet to ever have a mistake with my order. Prices are very reasonable as well. And lastly. Their bread! Oh my. I’m assuming they make it homemade or get it from a local bakery Bc it is to die for. I dream of their wheat toast haha

This is my go to stop for breakfast in Saturday’s! I usually have a long day doing private practice so I make sure I stop here for early morning fuel! Homemade, homemade, homemade! All of their stuff is made from scratch, the corned beef hash is made with real corned beef it’s not the canned stuffed that looks like doc food! Nice crust in it too! I’ve had their breakfast burrito and pretty much each breakfast sandwich she they are very good. If you find like your eggs too well done, which I can’t go portend why your would want s runny egg, make sure you let them know, their eggs are always well for which I LOVE! if you’re in the area you must try this place!

This place is your typical hole in the wall, very small, dinner. My breakfast was good but nothing amazing. After reading the reviews, I had higher hopes. I ordered the eggs, pierogies and kielbasa. I was very excited for the peirogies, and they tasted like Mrs. T’s frozen peirogies, nothing special. The kielbasa and eggs were good. I also got the apple smoked bacon, again I was disappointed. It was overcooked and didn’t really taste that good. My boyfriend got the bagel sandwich which he said was good. We also shared the home fries, which were a tad over cooked(read brunt) for my likely. Overall the food was just okay. I will say the prices were very reasonable.

Nothing bad to say about this cozy(read small) hole in the wall. The food is good. The service is better than I expected. If I had a gripe it would be the time it takes to get your order. Considering the quality of the food, and the amount of orders being made on the modest(read small) flat top, the wait time becomes quite tolerable. I’d give 5 stars, but I don’t believe in perfection.

I’m still sitting in the restaurant and had to start my review for this place because I am seriously over-the-moon about the breakfast that I just downed. One thing I deeply miss about where I lived in CT is the Polish food. In Atlanta, there is only one place I know of where I can get a warm plate of pierogies, kraut, and kielbasa, and the joint is actually in Suwanee. I stopped by Sahadi’s Hotties in hard-hittin’ New Britain only to find that it’s closed on Sundays and Mondays. Damn it!!! I used to eat breakfast here way back in the day when I worked at the Sovereign Bank inside the Shaw’s supermarket on West Main. Who remembers that? The last few years I’ve been in the area, the grocery store is abandoned. Things change so much and I hope that New Britain finds a good business to fill the space. Anyway, holy crap. I’m writing this review because I just had pierogies for breakfast. Because it’s on the menu as Pierogies & Eggs. I love pierogies more than some people I know and it’s because they are so amazing. Similar in appearance to Asian dumplings or Italian ravioli but with a thicker, chewier skin and stuffed with fruits, meats, or my favorite, just potatoes and cheese. That’s what you get here. Eggs however you like and onions and kielbasa sprinkled over your pierogies, along with thick slabs of buttered toast. How can you even go wrong with a meal like that? Oh, you can’t, that’s how. Small, hole-in-the-wall with brisk but friendly service and locals littered throughout the space. Just my kinda place. Go. A few parking spaces can be found on the left side of the restaurant, if you’re facing it. Eat pierogies.

Garbage. Wasted my time here with a buddy few weeks back. 1000 better places. Sandwich was cold and looked like something I could get at McDonald’s. This is one of those places where you leave disappointed. Looks like lots locals keep it in business. My buddy also does not have great taste lol next time I’ll be making the suggestions.

The bacon is AMAZING! The food was everything I’ve been looking for in a breakfast place(my favorite meal). It was quite loud, however we were there around 10am on a weekend so it was a full house!

Wow what a great little find! The place smells of homemade awesomeness, like every traditional diner should be. Uncle Bob’s really goes out of there way to create weekly/daily specials to keep the menu fresh. I really can not make a suggestion, because literally everything is amazing. The bacon is literally the best I have ever had, the omelettes are filling and delicious. Everything is home cooked, with excellent ingredients, and for a great price. This little place is an absolute must go if you are in town for breakfast, hell I would drive an hour for this place. Enjoy and make sure to come in with loose pants.

Good food, good coffee and good service — everything you want in a breakfast place. Prices are reasonable and even though it’s small, we’ve never waited more than a few minutes. This has quickly turned into my new favorite breakfast spot.

Found this place passing through town on my way to Hartford. A little hole-in-the-wall joint that specializes in breakfast. The family all had different omelets.(Didn’t notice any frittatas on the menu, now that I think about it.) Home fries, toast, etc. All came out well. Very satisfied. A nice surprise while traveling. Don’t know if I’ll ever pass this way again, but they definitely deserve a pat on the back.

Very rude on the phone, cutting me off multiple times. The main question the woman asked that seemed odd was, «what do you mean an egg sandwich?».

The food was excellent and priced well. I highly recommend trying the bacon pancakes — amazing! Coffee was standard diner coffee. Only one complaint — after others had left and we were the only ones left in the restaurant, the waitress went out front for a smoke break, without checking on us first. We needed drink refills and got none.

What a little find! We were headed to an indoor flea market in Plainville and scoped this place out and decided to give it a try. It’s breakfast and they do it quite well. We both had omelets, which were quite large with wheat and rye toast, home fries and a side of corned beef hash. Everything was very tasty and just to my liking. A couple of things to mention: it’s tiny but on a Saturday morning around 10:30 there was no wait. I am not sure if they make their own bread but the bread was excellent. They DO make their own hash and it was really good and clearly made in house(but they should mention that it’s house made on the menu, if we didn’t ask we wouldn’t have ordered it and would’ve assumed it was canned). The staff and fellow patrons were all very nice and friendly. Oh and they have pierogies and kielbasa as breakfast offerings and that’s definitely uncommon. Give it a try.

I have been here on numerous occasions. I visually saw it in passing months ago, but then when I read some of the reviews on Unilocal from some Elite friends, I had to try. Only trying their breakfast, I am totally impressed. I’v had omlettes, french toast, and sandwiches. All very good and quality. Coffee very good, waitstaff very nice and accomidating and would recommend any of the AM dishes to those looking for home cooked meals. Look forward to returning.
