History

Established in 1984.

Nick Destito Sr. started working in the landscape business in 1977. He began working for a small landscape contractor where his tasks included mowing lawns, planting shrubs, and some tree work. That began his interest in arboriculture. In order to further this interest he applied for and was awarded a summer job with a large tree service company.

At the end of the summer he attended Mass Bay Community College (MBCC) for horticulture. Following MBCC he continued his education through one of the most prestigious agricultural programs in North America, the Stockbridge School of Agriculture at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. In 1984 he ventured into his own tree service business.

Nicholas Destito Jr., being brought up in the business at a young age, graduated Norfolk Agricultural High School in 2011. Having worked for two large tree care firms, Nicholas started running the daily tree care operations at Destito Tree Services in 2012.
