Lemon Tree

I will never be going back to this salon again. I appreciate that they got me in for a last minute appointment but the service there was rude. I showed the stylist a picture of a hair style I wanted and he proceeded to not only disregard what I wanted completely and give me a totally different hairstyle unrelated to what I asked for, he put so much hair spray in my hair that it turned out so sticky and wet it looks like a Texas prom queen on meth. What pushed me over the edge was that when I called to make an appointment and while I was waiting the receptionist never mentioned that they don’t take credit cards until I went to pay at the end of my appointment. The receptionist was so rude about it as well. If a place doesn’t take credit cards I expect you to tell me when I make the appointment or at least have a sign on the reception desk. I also felt like I wanted to leave without tipping at all, but it’s a holiday so I didn’t do that. I am more than angry that my hair turned out so disgusting, I paid $ 40 to just come home and completely re-​style it myself. Epic waste of money.

I would like to start by saying my hair came out great and I would have given it multiple stars had it just been about the hair. But what occurred while I was sitting in the chair was absolutely horrifying that I feel that it needs to be shared.
To start off I had blue and purple hair and had decided I wanted to make my way back to blonde/​brunette. I made this decision knowing it would be a challenge and expecting that it might not be done in one sitting. I was in no way delusional about this. I sat in the chair while the colorist proceeded to call me stupid and my hair was stupid (actual words that were used). She made this big deal about the challenge of my hair and how I looked ridiculous. She made the judgement that I was clearly irresponsible and needed a lecture on how to take care of hair.
So after dealing with that and her basically saying my hair is dead, making it sound like my hair is permanently destroyed, and saying how my hair will always be green. They send me to the person to cut and blow dry my hair. The colorist then TOLD THE OTHER WOMAN WHAT TO DO TO MY HAIR IGNORING MY OPINION.
If that wasn’t enough the 2 of them then proceed to discuss how awful my hair is while she is ACTUALLY WORKING ON MY HAIR. I could hear all of it and it was actually upsetting me to the point someone else came over to try and distract me. I was almost in tears and sat there in shock that this was actually happening. I have never been treated like this in my life.
I know this place is good and again, if I was just about the hair it would be 4 stars. My hair (despite what I was led to believe the whole time) came out wonderful. I just felt the need to share this story and am actually considering talking to management about this.

Just returned form having my hair colored and blown dry by Lisa. She is extremely professional and friendly and my hair looks amazing and the price was extremely reasonable.

Plainview store is crazy-​busy and small but you certainly get quality services! I had my hair colored and a few highlights done by Stacey and she did an amazing job. The atmosphere is friendly and the only negative is they do not accept credit/​debit cards and I wasn’t told beforehand. I rarely carry cash and do not use paper checks. They need to remember not everyone calling is an established customer and new people should be informed they only take cash.

It was a Saturday and I needed an emergency hair coloring. The only place I could get an appointment was at Lemon Tree in Plainview. My expectations were low. Lisa colored my hair and did a fantastic job, matching at 30 bucks what Red Door Salon does for 80. Granted, Red Door is five star. Lisa did a great job paying careful attention to every strand of hair. now over a week later, there is quite a shine on my hair. Not a fancy place by no means but well worth the price. Same job as a fancy salon without the fancy
