Wags To Whiskers

So I got the owner shouting in my inbox that their high-​price pet food isn’t multilevel marketing stuff. Okay. It’s still getting hawked as badly, if not worse. That is aggravating when I want my dog groomed. I’ve not bought your snake oil in all the years of taking my dog there, why do you keep trying to upsell me?
What’s more, I’ve learned that the groomer who was my go-​to for years doesn’t work there anymore. I won’t be going back to Wags anymore.

I used to take my dog here all the time to get groomed, however, the past 3 times I have tried to get my dog in for an appointment, it has been he same story «we’re in the process of hiring an additional groomer». His has been since probably early last year!!! Unfortunately, I do believe I will be switching groomers for good! You can never get your fur friend in!!!

Disappointed. Passing through and drove 6 miles off the interstate to be told that somebody was using the self-​serve dogwash and my best bet would be to come back tomorrow. You’re still open for more than an hour. I know you want to close shop early on a Saturday, but I felt like I was being blown off.

I have never felt so awkward coming into a store. I came in to buy dog shampoo, with my sister who goes there all he time for animals, she raves about it. But she agreed it was so uncomfortable. Would I go back? Maybe they have good products. Would I rather someone else go in? In a heart beat.

Brought my dog in for a nail trim and file ($ 18). Was completely surprised by the costumer service. No big dog food names here, only sell food that is healthy and chemical free for our four legged family members.

I will never go back to Wags to Whiskers again. When they called me to inform me my dog was ready for pick up I asked her very nicely if it would be ok that I will be a little late since I did not have my car at that time. Her response was «NO, it’s not ok!» I explained how sorry I was and that I was in a bind due to not having my car. She starting sighing and making all kinds of annoyed noises all because I was going to be late. Then she proceeded to tell me «Now we have to take him outside.»
With that type of attitude to your customer do you really care about dogs? you were that angry because I was going to be late?! Who knows if my dog was abused while you had to take him out. Don’t worry, I did not take out my anger on your employees. I made sure to tip the groomer as this will be the last time I ever come to your place of business.

I only have a cat so I can’t speak about grooming. I went to W2W on the recommendation of a friend. My cat was having digestive issues so I asked the staff there what they recommended. The knowledgeable women there suggested I try grain free brands. When I was looking for dry food, they gave me some samples for my kitty to try. I love the customer awards program. The shop is tiny and usually busy but I always get in and out in a few minutes.

Best place ever for all your cat& dog needs from treats food grooming and that personal touch of a small business Patti the groomer is simply Ahhhmazing my lil Lola was always afraid of getting groomed until we came here now she loves & looks forward to her spa days
It’s priceless finding a place that really cares my 15 year old cat was very sick until I started feeding her the high quality food and now she’s happier and much healthier all thanks to the people here

I love using the self serve dog wash. Its much easier washing my large dogs here than at home!

I love Wags to Whiskers & wish they weren’t so far away! The staff’s level of knowledge is vast and if they don’t have an answer for your question they get one right away. If in Plainfield, this is the best store!!!

We LOVE Wags to Whiskers! Over the past few months we have overhauled our dogs’ nutrition to grain free dog food and treats. The employees were so helpful with tips on making the transition to the new grain free food. They also gave us samples of just about every grain free food they sell there to see which ones our dogs would like best. The staff is always super friendly. They also have groomers and a self wash station. I feel the prices are reasonable especially for the specialty foods. They have only the best dog foods as well as raw food. Since starting the grain free diet my dogs have so much more energy and their coats have improved as well.

We have been going here with our three dogs for 6 years. Service has always been excellent. Our dogs are groomed here and the staff has always been helpful with suggestions as to the food that was best for our older dogs. Result is our dogs have been healthy and spunky.

I felt the store was to uppity, i had to run in and get some food for my dogs and had my kids with me and the lady at the counter kept shooting me dirty looks. Yeah my kids needed to be reminded by me every few minutes not to touch anything, but they listened.

I get the best food for my cats (was paying about $ 50 bag for 15 lb cat food) Evo and some others and they knocked the dry food I give my cats. The women were uppity and said «wet is the best!!!» They basically said, dry food is garbage. They acted like I was giving my cats trash!
I was coming here because they were one of the few stores that could get EVO cat food (rated best dry cat); however when I told my family and friends how these women belittled the food I give my cats, they all said they «WOULD NOT GO BACK!»
I am now going down the street in Shorewood to Pets Etc which doesn’t knock the best dry foods I give my cats.

Kinda have mixed feelings about it. One lady is helpful. I have been in there and the dark haired lady kept interrupting the lady that was trying to help me with non work related comments. It was very irritating! It’s kind of high priced, but they do have specialty products so I understand. I don’t like how they don’t have prices on everything, it is very annoying having to ask how much things are, it actually causes me to buy less! I’ve asked to be put on email list 3 times, still don’t receive any emails.
Sometimes they don’t answer their phone, this is also annoying. I go there in a pinch, but would probably choose somewhere else. They do have a good variety, that’s about it, wish I could say nice things, but you want honesty don’t you?

What a wonderful place! Wags to Whiskers is like a day spa/​boutique for your animal friend. The owner, Janelle, is pet savvy, fun, and clearly a huge animal lover! The store offers «do-​it-​yourself» wash stations to wash your dog (big or little!), full-​service grooming, cute beds, leashes, collars, and all that good stuff that you’d expect a doggy boutique to have. But! They also carry a wide variety of carefully selected dog foods that are designed to really optimize your dog’s health — instead of just loading the food with carbohydrates and fillers like companies like Iams/​Eukanuba and Science Diet do. They also have recently started to carry raw foods, if you want to start your pet on a raw diet!
Janelle and Wags to Whiskers are the real deal. I love this place!!!

Wonderful place with very caring, helpful, and knowledgable people. The offer nothing but the best in nutrition. Their other location hosts monthly dogie socialization groups. They have one for small dogs, under 40 lbs, and one for large dogs over that. This is off-​leash in door play for the dogs and good socialization for us.
