Business Owner

Sam & his wife immigrated to the States in 1991 and they arrived here unable to speak the language, unfamiliar with the culture, and without any promises of a stable future. Through perseverance and hard work, they were able to establish a successful jewelry business in the south side of Chicago in 1993. Just 2 years later, however, their business crumbled overnight due to a robbery which resulted in a near complete loss of their inventory.

Shortly thereafter, they came upon a shoe repair shop that was up for sale. Despite never having repaired a single pair of shoes, Sam was able to quickly learn the art and craft of repairing shoes under the apprenticeship of the previous owner and within just a few months, he and his wife were able to relaunch Moody Shoe Repair under their ownership.

Sam & his wife are grateful for the success that they have experienced over the many years and are committed to doing everything they can to continue in their mission to satisfy their customers.
