Tj Maxx

My wife tricks me into going here with her every now and again. She LOVES this store. She will always find something that she cannot live without. Me on the other hand, I can rarely find a pair of jeans my size. I will usually find something to purchase though. I am a big fan of the «husband chairs» they have outside the fitting rooms. This review is more for my wife and her point of view. Lots of selection for women. Men’s dept. is pretty small.

Each time I’ve came to this location, the staff were very helpful and outgoing. When it comes to buying clothing in Placerville, you got Walmart, Kmart, Big 5, and this place. This place gives the best experience by far. Sure, you have thrift stores and little shops here and there, but this place has a lot of variety and good quality stuff for cheap. Who could complain?

Love this place! Always clean and organized with a great selection! I am here almost weekly to check out all the new product. The staff has always been friendly and helpful.

I seriously love this TJ Maxx! It is ALWAYS clean! Always has employees walking around looking for something to organize to make the store look better! Has a great make up section! The ‘Home Goods’ items are fantastic and they are such a bargain! I would definitely recommend this store to all of my friends and family!

This is a great location, I feel like it is less picked over than other ones. They have a great selection and way cute clothes to choose from. I even get some great hair products here! SO many bags to choose from and I love that they have a ton of kids toys too!

Great Selection of watches & jewelry and my favorite spot to stop by, little pricey though.
Coordinators are very nice, patient and helpful.
Their kitchen supply department is nice as well. I love buying flavored organic green tea mango and pineapple. I go here first before going across the street at the Ross.

Shopped here for the first time and was super impressed. So impressed that I almost called the manager after my visit to tell them!
The store was clean and organized. It was easy to move around and didn’t seem dumpy like some of the discount stores can get.
The staff was helpful and friendly. And I mean they were genuinely helpful and friendly, I was surprised. The cashier actually helped me out with my purchase in the rain across the entire parking lot. Another staff member held my item at the front and paid attention to me when I asked him for help as he was working on something else.
I just got a really good feeling at this store. I hope it stays that way next time I shop there.

This is a very nice T J Maxx. The store is clean and well organized. The staff is friendly and helpful. I really love their selection of handbags. Much nicer than the Ross store across the street.

I only love it here because it’s not worth the drive down the hill to go to a different store. Staff could definitely pick up the customer service (except the waiting room, they are usually very nice) just seems like every customer is ignored unless they approach the employee, which in my book isn’t good service. HOWEVER, good prices, quick checkout and good stuff!

I always find something at this location. They are stocked with workout clothes! Love that! The store is always in order, no crap on the floor. Staff are always cheerful and checkout is fast.

I know my babies r gonna be happy happy happy!

I love this store and check out the new wonderful things that they are constantly getting in each week. Great place to find unusual gifts and great clothes at amazing prices. Always good customer service. I wish Placerville had more stores like this.

Customer service is always great when I’m shopping at this location. Since this is a discount store you don’t have anyone asking if you need help with anything but when I check out they are always nice. I’ve been here a couple time since my move to Cameron Park 3 months ago. I always leave with something from the house goods. Today was a first to leave with clothing. I bought a flawless Anne Klein coat. Surprise!

Very well kept store and they have more selections because it’s so rarely visited. Small town :)

I agree with the previous poster. I too go into TJ Maxx with the expectation of finding some discounted clothing, but I usually leave with a house wears item or bath/​lotion item. The jewelry has some good buys here and there, so I have purchased some items from the jewelry counter. The clothes are horrid. I agree, someone needs to realize that just because we are in Placerville, we don’t want to dress for work in clothes that would be okay in an Oklahoma farming community. Believe it or not, we have a lot of professionals in our community (I am one), who travel down the hill to dress for work. Get a wake-​up call TJ Maxx and get to know your consumers here. Most of us do not want to look like we found our clothing on the side of the road. Placerville is severely deficient in places to buy clothing for adults, and even worse for finding updated clothing for our teens. I will continue to go to TJ maxx for household items, but not for clothes. My poor teenage son said that he would not be caught dead in the clothes they sell at this store. You are missing a great segment of the buying public in this area.

When TJ Maxx opened up a few years ago I was very excited. They had the store stocked with nice quality items that were in fashion. I always found a pair of shorts or a nice sun dress whenever I went in. It has been a year since I’ve been in. Today I found nothing. All of the clothes and shoes looked like they were more then three seasons behind the times. I know that discount stores such as TJ Maxx and Ross and Marshalls stock the stores based on what the neighborhood buys. I was disappointed. I hate having to go to Roseville to find a good selection of discount clothing that I like. I did find that the purses and lotions and potions were still nice. I really liked their selection of luggage too. So I’ll be back for a purse or a suitcase if I ever need one.
