El Dorado County Fairgrounds

Thank god we have this space in our county, which hosts event year around, from annual county fair to summer speed races and number of expos.
some of the events like Hangtown Halloween Ball is one of my fav event to go to every year.
There’s also a historical museum on site to learn more about El Dorado County.

What a wonderful fair. Lots of lawn and trees, great music, wonderful weather, horses, livestock, monkeys (at least this year), mutton bustin’, bull riding, big wheel races, funnel cake eating contests and wheelbarrow races too. Four days each June ending on Father’s Day with look-​alike contests for dad, kids and multigenerational too. I love this fair!

There are so many memories here! Ive been coming here with my dad and friends for years to the races and fair each year. These fairgrounds have become personal to me because of these experiences. I love coming here :)

We had never been here before, but came down for an event which I believe was the first of it’s kind held here, a big music festival (Hangtown Halloween Ball). It was suh-​weet! I’ve been involved with lots of music festivals, and I can say that for its first time hosting one, the Fairgrounds passed with flying colors and exceeded all expectations. The grounds were beautiful and inviting, the layout was convenient, and the parking was easy. Security and other logistical workers (although not sure if they were associated with the Fairgrounds or were brought in for this event) were friendly and chill. Not sure about the camping, since we stayed at a motel. All in all, a great time was had by all… I hope they do this festival (or any others) again next year!
