Description

Specialties

As a service to our greater community, Manzanita’s core vision is to help facilitate a reconnection to the food we eat by hosting targeted events, providing small food based business consulting, and developing an affordable facility to produce local food.

«It is our mission to develop and maintain relationships with our clients and community that help to grow local businesses, nourish our growing families, and honor the land»

Manzanita is available now to rent for wedding receptions, private parties, fundraisers, mixers, live music, wine tasting events, workshops, farm-to-table dinners, and much much more!

History

Established in 2013.

Appropriately named Manzanita, after the mahogany colored bush with wood that burns hot and that grows so abundantly in the area, this event space is like no other venue in El Dorado County. Manzanita has a brand new 1,200 sq ft. fully permitted commercial kitchen attached to it. The kitchen is primarily leased to local food producers and caterers but is also available for special events.

Meet the Business Owner

Kim and Andy T.

Business Owner

In January 2012 husband-wife team Kimberly Medici and Andy Tannehill moved back to the foothills where Kim was born and raised to start their family and grow their business. In a giant leap of faith, they signed a lease that would allow them to build a business around their passion for good food, the arts, cultivating strong relationships, and building community.
