Dr. Evans had been my vet for 20 years, so I feel I can say this now. When I first started using him, they obviously didn’t have rating systems for establishments :)
I would give him 100 million-​infinite stars, if I could. The only reason I don’t use him now, is because I moved away from my home town.
He is such a fantastic man, and I can honestly say because I know him so well and my experience, is that he does this solely for his love of animals. He could’ve retired long ago.
I love you, Dr. Evans! And I miss having you as my vet!!!
It would be a novel if I listed everything he’s done for me and my animals over the last 20 years.

I don’t understand how you can forget to leave the date off of a health certificate for travel when it needs to be valid for up to 10 days! Little mistakes like that have grand consequences, major inconveniences, and costs lots of money and time! No thank you to this vet clinic!

This place killed my cat. My cat was seriously u hired and barely breathing it had been either bullied by the neighborhood cat or hit by a car. I explained to them that my cat had not eaten for a few days, but seemed to be feeling better each day. The vet urged me to get the cat fixed so it wouldn’t happen again and my cat never woke up again. You guys seriously need to have more compassion for animals. The cat could have still been alive and healthy. It was an indoor cat and clearly needed to get better before this operation. Do NOT take your pet here. Horrible experience for the only pet I’ve ever had

I know a lot of people are very fond of this office– and I used to be as well. To be honest, I’ve never had a bad experience with Dr. Evans — he’s a friendly guy and has always been helpful. My problem is with the terrible experience I had with Dr. Debbie.
Without detailing the entire process, what my situation boiled down to was I was told that our cat had two options: 1) Get a rather expensive surgery that HAD to be done the very next day or 2) Put him down.
It wasn’t the best news. Since he’s older, we felt we may have to put him down. Debbie sent our cat home since they were closing and said to make a decision and come back the following day. I decided to make some calls and took him for a second opinion at another local vet. And man, am I lucky that I did that. The other vet gave a drastically different diagnosis and felt our cat would be fine after they worked on him and gave him some medicine. And they were absolutely correct. Instead of having an operation or putting him down, a week later our cat is healthy and as good as new.
We heard back from Debbie to make sure we were going to come back and settle up our bill. Because with her, I feel that’s the driving factor. I don’t know what else it could be. My opinion is she’s either a surgery pusher ($$$) or just inept at her job, but either way I wouldn’t trust her with my ex-girlfriend’s pet.
If she ever left, I would return here. However, as long as she’s here I won’t go anywhere near this place. When you put people in hard situation where they have to spend a lot of money on a needless and expensive surgery or instruct them they should put down their animal AND you’re totally wrong, what good are you?
If you have any questions, please contact me and I’ll share more details. I also have the original surgery estimate she provided along with the bill of services rendered from the other vet to show the extreme difference. And if you do end up coming here and have the misfortune of seeing Debbie and receive a surgery or expensive diagnosis — seek a second opinion. It may save your animal’s life.

Great prices and the Dr. makes you feel important and that each case he has he really cares about.

My review is solely for the lady in the office who answered my phone call today.
I work in a front office and answer phones in a professional polite manner and I know how you should handle phone calls.
I called this vet office asking for vaccine records for a mutual client’s pet. The lady who answered the phone had an attitude right away. As soon as I asked for the vaccine records the lady responds with a LOUD huff/​sigh right into the phone! Are you kidding me? She then responds to every thing I say with terrible attitude like I was somehow wasting her time or ruining her already terrible day. She also kept interrupting me, put me on hold abruptly without even giving me warning, and kept sighing in to the phone at least 3 times. She was also flat out rude. The client I was calling about had two different last names it could’ve been under. She got mad at me when I suggested the alternate last name for the client. So she kept sighing and interrupting me and generally just made me feel like I was causing her SO much trouble. The phone call lasted a total of 4 – 5 minutes maybe.
I work with new clients and random calls all day long and if I’m having a bad day, I leave it at home. You have to be professional when working in an office with the public.
I would never bring my animals here solely based on my experience with this office lady who was obviously having the worst day ever or something. I feel bad if clients who come in here have to deal with this lady’s bad attitude.

Dr. Evans is by far the most caring vet I’ve ever met. I have been taking my 9 year old rat terrier to Dr. Evans since he was a puppy and have never been disappointed in the care he’s received at this clinic. When my dog gets sick, Dr. Evans goes above and beyond any professional in making sure my dog is doing well, even calling me on the weekend to get get an update on his health. It really means a lot to me that a vet could care about my dog’s wellbeing as much as I do.
I would highly recommend Dr. Evans to everyone and their pets.

Dr. Evans is very knowledgable and friendly. He takes his time with you and your pet. He even spend extra time with our sons talking to them about how to care for our puppy. He made sure to answer all of our questions. We highly recommend Dr. Evans.

Dr. Evans, Dr. Maas, and Dr. Debbie are all AWESOME wonderful angels!
Our chihuahua had a rare disorder that no other Dr. was able to figure out or treat. We were recommended to go to Dr. Evans by a friend. We were skeptical after seeing three other local vets.
Dr. Evans found out what was specifically wrong with our dog and gave us materials to research so we fully understood where things stood. Our dog was not well and was not expected to make it at that point. She was being hand fed and could not walk. I was beside myself. But, Dr. Evans would not give up on my little girl. Between Dr. Maas and Dr. Evans our dog was saved. We have now had her an extra three years (so far) because of these two men. I still remember Dr. Evans saying to me, «I know Lily means so much to you, I just won’t give up Mrs. C, I just won’t give up.» and he didn’t.
With all of that said, this is not an emergency clinic or 24 clinic. Our Lily had a blood disorder that once found had to be treated over time.
Dr. Evans and Dr. Maas saved our dog. She would not be with us without these two men. Our dogs are our kids.
We now take all our pets to this clinic. Dr. Debbie has seen all of our dogs at one time or another for ear infections, shots, and check ups. She is also wonderful, soft spoken and kind. She has a very quiet sense of humor that we appreciate as well. We love her too.
We really feel Dr. Evans really cares about the people and the pets that enter his doors. He and Mrs. Evans always remember our first names and we are always greeted with a pleasant hello and how is the family. The vet assistants/​techs are all very sweet as well. You could not ask for a better place to take your furry family member. All stars!

I was recommended here by a friend who has been seeing Dr. Evans for 14+ years.
After my experience — Dr. Evans is absolutely wonderful.
My story in a nutshell — my dog had been scratching and crying around her nipples (nonstop). We assumed it was seasonal allergies. My sister then discovered what appeared to be a lump.
Went in to see Dr. Evans (walk in, on a Saturday, about 15 – 20 min wait) — he greeted us with a fist pump and endless smiles. Examined her and told us his diagnosis. Bilateral breast tumors. Surgery is usually recommended, but at her age (we got her in 2000 as a gift so we don’t know her true age, but she is very old), the end result probably wouldn’t have been successful. He said he didn’t want to take our money for it. He kept it very honest — which I deeply & genuinely appreciated. He then gave her a shot to help ease the pain/​itch & asked us to come back in six weeks for follow up.
What I loved was how he would talk to her and care for her while also explaining in depth her condition to us.
I would highly recommend him for anyone searching for a vet with a kind & caring heart and honesty, above all.

I just moved back after being out of the area for 20 years and spoke to a few trusted friends/​family hoping to find the Vet for me. I decided after everyone saying Dr Evens he was who I wanted, I took the leap of faith.
Since moving back my zoey had become very itchy and now had lost a patch of fur and I make the mistake of looking online. I called and made an appointment for the following day.
I came in and was greeted by the lady behind the desk. Everything felt so relaxed (not your typical cold medical feel) Dr Evens greeted us and took us to our room and then came the «fist bump» yes, it caught me off guard but pleasantly. I see why he did that. We giggled a bit and the conversation just flowed so nicely. He let me know what was going on with my Zoey and why. Then he proceeded to explain to me what it could be and how he knew it was not infact anything more than a simple allergic reaction and alopecia due to her licking and scratching. I left confidant that he had the right diagnosis. He let me know what to expect from the treatment he set up follow ups and told me to call him If I needed anything. Did he stop at that? NO. He then turned to my teenager and let her know if she had any questions to feel free to call him even though he knew she (Zoey) is my baby. (he sees her baby in a few days) Dr. Evens is like finding the dream Pediatrician for your new born child. Supportive, kind and trustworthy.
If your looking for stale and cold he isn’t for you. If your looking for someone who cares for you and your fur baby while making you feel safe and comfortable then look no more.
Last but not least his prices are amazing when she told me the cost I thought it was just the visit and she said «no that’s for everything plus your 2 follow up appointments» WOW.

5 stars doesn’t seem like enough. This vet office is beyond amazing, truly the best I have ever been too. They are so caring and loving — this office is dedicated to the animals. Around April 2014 my 12 year old chihuahua was lethargic, and you could tell something was very wrong, I rushed her to an «emergency» clinic where they told me she needed a ($ 4500) surgery or she was going to die. — who has that kind of money?, i was heartbroken. A friend immediately told me about Dr. Evans and assured me that he could probably do something. So I took Daphnie to dr evans office in the morning where they preformed the surgery at a reasonable price that I could afford, and saved her life. She has been healthy ever since. I’m beyond grateful to this office and it’s wonderful staff for allowing my family to have more time with our dog. I have told everyone i know with animals about this place, and I will never go anywhere else– they truly understand what our pets mean to us, and they do everything they can to help. Best vet ever !

I can’t say enough good things about this place. I have a dog with Addison’s disease and had it not been for them I would be taken advantage of left and right. Dr. Debbie is so awesome and caring of your animal. I drive from Irvine twice a month! Dr Evans is a good honest vet who cares about people and their animals! Not about taking advantage of people and getting them when they are going to pay anything to help their pet… Love love this place! I can’t thank Dr Debbie for all the care she gives me for my Wesley! I have heard Dr. Evans daughter won a gold medal in the Olympics. I can see where the gold came from her dad! I could never say enough good things about this place! This place is pure gold!

we bring all of our pets here and we love Dr. Evans not only is he caring. he is a very good vet with fair prices. He will always call you at home to see how your pets are doing once they have been sent home and he never nickle and dimes you but will try to take the most cost effective route in treating your pet. He also honest… and truly understands that your pet is part of your family.
Tonight I had to bring my little chiuaua in to have her put down. it was heart breaking to make that decision.Dr.Evans was gentle with our family took his time with us… lots of tears. and he gave my little friend a sedative and after she was calm gave her the night night juice we stayed with her the whole time and were able to say our goodbyes… devastating Dr evans made this as easy as possible for us in which we are thankful, for these situations he will also come to your home. Thank You Dr. Evans and staff we love and appreciate your compassion. We Miss our Roxy ~R.I.P

I wouldn’t go anywhere else, unless it was an emergency (only because I live an hour away)!
Dr Evans is a kind, honest man, who knows his business! He doesn’t overcharge, or give the «runaround» as some vets do (doing unnecessary tests, etc.,) He really seems to care about the animals.

Unilocal, you need to start letting people give places 10 stars man. Dr. Evans and his staff deserve infinite stars. If he ever retires, I’m going to cry. Whenever we’re in the waiting room, other pet owners say the same thing. If there was an Outstanding Human Being award, Dr. Evans would win it every year. He’s an older man. He’s super sharp, spry and will always remember your name.
He’s genuinely concerned about your pet’s well-​being and doesn’t charge you for a follow up visit. My older pet who recently passed away had two surgeries here and it was affordable both times. Our little one goes in regularly for check ups. I have nothing but praise for Dr. Evans’ office!

And he just charged me the cost no vet fee or anything else. Tri city care wanted to charge 160.00. Very grateful to have found him.
