Wow… Why does anyone go you this place? Took way too long to get served. How long does it take to make scrambled eggs, sausage, burnt hash Browns and believe or not pancakes at the International House of Pancakes. Literally it took over 30 minutes after my dad and I ordered. Served the pancakes on the side on a plate that is barely bigger than the small pancakes, no room for syrup and then when you pour your syrup your hands are all sticky! What up with that. Had to go wash my hands b4 I could start to eat. All that and then after having to ask to get r bill it was wrong too! Prices are way too high… $ 11.00 for 2 scrambled eggs, 4 sausage links burnt hash Browns and 4 pancakes. Not too mention $ 3.00 for coffee. If u want a good breakfast go down the street to Paul’s Country Kitchen cuz this IHOP is the pits.

I’ve been going to IHOP frequently recently because their creepes are delicious, I get mine with Nutella, banana, & strawberries. My female servers are always very sweet. The last one I had was Clarissa, & she was very attentive, and polite.

What a joke this place is. I stood in the lobby waiting to place a To Go order while everyone other than the sweet hostess would not help me. Even the manager agreed to help me and then went on to socialize with customers in the main dining room rather than take a simple order, eggs and toast. No wonder this place is so badly rated.

An utter disappointment… I live right down the street so the location is very convenient however every time I come either the service is horrible, the food sucks or both. You wait too long for your food and by the time it comes out its cold. The best part is when I told my server it was cold, he responded with«oh, I believe it’s supposed to be served like that» what?!? Are you kidding, never have I gotten cold breakfast crepes but I guess that is my fault for ordering crepes at IHOP. Save yourself from frustration and go anywhere else.

Service was horrible. No one ever came to check on us. And the serving size was way to small. At every other one I’ve been to the serving size was a lot bigger. It was an adult breakfast but it felt like a child’s portion. It was not even busy so Service should have been better. Very disappointed.

Just to add to my last one. Still the absolute worst service ever. I hate this place so much. Too bad I work and live close to this one. Took forever to drive to the next closest location just because I always hate how bad they handle customers and how terrible there customer service skills are…

Pros: — Location is clean, fairly spacious, same at every location — Food tastes about the same at every IHOP, this location included, the omelettes are my favorite it’s HUGE — Price is also affordable and hasn’t gone up too much since coming here for the past 10+ years(neighborhood IHOP) — Parking is plentiful and never an issue Cons: — The service is a hit or miss. The waiters aren’t rude but today our server kept forgetting to bring us silverware and at one point we couldn’t find him because he had gone on break without telling us! Just because there are only 2 parties in the restaurant doesn’t mean service should be lacking.

We usually get good service but not today. We were next for a table and 4 elderly regulars came on whining about the wait and, they were seated ahead of us .And we were delegated to the child friendly back of the place. staff was all apologies but no excuse for that very disappointed. It doesn’t matter if someone is a regular all customers are important and all should wait their turn.

*** Pit stop review(Placentia)*** I stopped for some morning breakfast at this IHOP location before working. It was early in the morning so there was plenty of easy parking in the lot. The restaurant was very clean and the service was nice. I can’t find any fault with this restaurant nor the food. But then, I’d be pretty annoyed if they f*cked up my eggs and bacon because that’s really difficult to mess up :-) hee hee hee… The one thing I did really enjoyed were the hash-browns. It was made with a nice crunchy outer layer with a soft inner layer of potatoes. Food = good Seating area = very clean Service = attentive and friendly Restroom = clean

I visited this location of the IHOP chain with a coupon for my birthday. The coupon says that you get a Rooty Tooty Fresh and Fruity breakfast for free, but they allowed me to pick anything I wanted from the menu! All I had to do was pay the difference in price. I ordered the«Split Decision» breakfast, which included 2 pancakes, 2 French Toast halves, 2 eggs, 2 bacon, and 2 sausages, all for $ 10.89. The food came out quickly, and was cooked exactly as I liked it, including having the eggs scrambled well-done and getting all bacon, instead of 2 sausages. Every time I have visited this location, the service has been wonderful. You are always greeted with a smile and a hello. The servers are attentive and courteous. And the workers genuinely seem happy, even when the restaurant is packed, like it was today when I ate there. Whatever the management team is doing here, it needs to be replicated at every other restaurant across the globe! To top it off, even after receiving a discounted meal, the receipt offers a coupon for«1 free short stack of buttermilk pancakes» after completing their survey. I definitely look forward to my next visit!

Getting seated was alright. The server messed up our order three times. The basic English language seemed to confuse her & there was also a hair in my scrambled eggs

We had breakfast here on Sunday and my son wanted Mac & Cheese for breakfast . We ordered our food and drinks. Our server was okay too ! We were eating and my 5 yr old says«mom there is plastic in my food«I looked and it was a plastic bag corner(corner of a pouch). So when the server came back again, I told her about the plastic and showed it to her and she was like«oh sorry«to which I asked«was this Mac & Cheese in frozen plastic bag and you just heated and that’s how the plastic ended in the food ?» To my surprise — she said«yes, we don’t make fresh Mac & Cheese«to further surprise she was not feeling bad either ! Just Horrible… Shame on you people ! Not only frozen food but can’t even cut and serve right and when mistakes happen«no shame or apology« Just sad ! Will never come back !!

So me and my girlfriend only decided to go here because it was free pancake day. And I understand that it was busy but our server was absolutely horrible. She took our drink order and came back twice because she forgot it. Then she took our food order twice. Which then did get out to us until we got our drinks which was 20 or so minutes later. Top it off pancakes were cold. Nothing special about free pancakes if they come out of the kitchen cold. Avoid this one not worth it.

Tonight we received the WORST service I have EVER had! We’ve gone here before, but our incompetent waitress had us sitting there for an hour waiting for eggs. I ordered mozzarella sticks as my meal. We came here with a hungry 2-year-old and our waitress didn’t even put our order in until after we had been sitting there for an HOUR! The restaurant was EMPTY! After I complained, the waitress(who was NOT wearing a name tag) was literally so afraid to come back and sent the other waitress(who was actually competent — Emily) to help us. I asked to speak to a manager and was told there was no manager on site. After an hour and 15 minutes, the food was subpar. I’m left angry and hungry. This was a HORRIBLE experience and we will NOT be coming back!

We stopped at IHOP this am. Wrong! Have you ever seen a waitress Wide Asleep? Absolutely the worst service ever. Waitress was sweet, but 2 out of the three meals were wrong — and she didn’t take care of it when we made her aware. She didn’t bring the pancakes until everyone was done eating — and when they came, they were cold. She finally came with the jam that we ask for in the very beginning — no drink refills until she brought the bill — and she charged for extra bacon that wasn’t ordered. I have always been a big tipper(my daughter was a waitress) but I cringed when leaving her $ 5. After not visiting a IHOP in many years, because my family have never been fans, I don’t think I’ll ever go back. On another note, my food(that I didn’t order) was very good and they did take $ 2.00 off the bill for the bacon that wasn’t ordered when we told the cashier. Like I said before, the waitress was nice — just a very bad server.

I’ve been coming here for years. It’s the best, breakfast chain restaurant, near to where I live. The service was veryyyy slow today. That’s surprising because it’s a weekday(Monday), and we arrived at 10:50AM. Not a peak dining time. I will say, the server who started our order, wasn’t the same one who delivered our food. Maybe a shift change? Still other tables are waiting long, and now at 1 hour in, I’m waiting to flag her down for the check. The hours listed on Unilocal, are incorrect. Still the coffee was tolerable, the food warm, plentiful, and good, and the hostess greeting is always pleasant. The 67 degree temperature seems quite cold, for a brisk winter morning, but if I was a server running around, it might be welcoming.

I’m not sure why I keep coming here… But today will be the last, this IHOP is horrible! I won’t re-hash past experiences but today topped the cake. We were told 10minutes to get seated which took 30 so okay the host was young and seemed like she had no clue what was going on. We get seated wait an additional 20 minutes before we even put in our drink order, drinks come 10 minutes later no straws, ask for straws and put in our order and was told I couldn’t change the bread my sandwich came on but she would«try»…30 minutes later still no straws, drinks are watered down from the melting ice, I could have reminded her if she would have come back or anyone would have walked by but nope… A few more minutes passed we spotted the manager if thats what you wanna call him and explained that we didn’t want our items and why, then they seem to want to keep our business and do whatever it takes to make us happy. My question is why didn’t we just get that service in the first place? Either way this IHOP is horrible every single time we visit! Get it together, patrons pay your bills and if you keep on truckin at this rate you will loose customer after customer!

Hats off the staff for trying, it was busy and I could tell you were all hustling. But the management here is a joke. The food is sad and old. I could hear everyone around us talking to each other about how they got cold Food. Or they never got it. A man ask to talk the manager and sent someone else instead Of him. I only know it was a him because they said«he was too busy». To busy to what? Do his job? Bad reviews On Unilocal are really funny to me. But I’m just saying, go somewhere else. Spend the money somewhere better.

We’ve been coming to this IHOP for probably 20 years and have always had fairly good service and decent food. But today, our experience was SO bad, I felt compelled to finally review the place. And this was probably the first time we have ever left no tip. Even with bad service, we tip a smaller amount, but this was so beyond bad. Our server took our order promptly but admittedly put it in wrong and my husband got something he didn’t order and didn’t want. Instead of apologizing, the runner who brought the food argued with him and copped a huge attitude. He asked for a menu to show her what he actually ordered and she tossed it on the table instead of handing it to him. She actually said to him«yes, you did order this» and tried to put it down in front of him! My order was correct, minus the toast that didn’t come out, but my husband’s food had to be reordered and they still had not brought out my granddaughter’s meal. So while we waited for the rest of the order, my food got cold and when they finally brought everything else, my husband’s eggs were overcooked and the turkey bacon was cold. He had also ordered a bagel but was brought wheat toast instead because«they were out of bagels.» We asked for more coffee, which took forever to finally arrive and I had to remind her that she still hadn’t brought out my toast. I was already done with my bacon and hash browns and almost told her to forget but I paid for it and wanted my order complete. So for the next 15 minutes, our server came by at least 5 times to ask us if everything was okay, which only served to annoy us and seemed like definite overkill. Messing up completely doesn’t magically disappear if you keep asking if things are ok. I guess the moment that pushed my husband over the edge was when our server brought the bill to show us that she«removed the pancakes from our bill» because it was her mistake. The pancakes we never ordered. And her attitude was that she was doing us a favor, instead of correcting her own mistake. The biggest issue here, other than the kitchen not having their timing down and sending stuff out piece by piece, seemed to be the 7 or 8 new hires being trained and the experienced servers focusing on them instead of the customers. I do understand the need to hire and train new people, but that many at once seemed like a really bad idea. We won’t be coming back any time soon.
