All Spec Sheet Metal

Al spec did some very custom work for me on a parking lot striper! I had a spray machine I didn’t want to waste and thought it could be customized to work in my asphalt business. I asked Todd Gomez if he could and was quite impressed with what they delivered. I know this specific kind of work can be the kind of job any tradesmen wouldn’t want to take on because it may not be cost effective for the consumer. But the guys at all spec kept in my price-​point and delivered more than I expected. Thanks Todd and Team. I like the fact that I can see they enjoy their work by the extra effort they put in to see an awesome finished project!

My twice or thrice-​yearly transaction with All Spec:
— Monday: I email them after-​hours with some hand drawn sketches that look more like a Rorschach test.
— Tuesday: I call to make sure the aforementioned art is interpreted correctly. I then ask for it to be ready Wednesday cause, you know, I want it now.
— Wednesday: I pick up and ask for one more little thing to be done while I’m there, as if the guys in the back are just standing around waiting for something to do.
— Thursday: They get half a Papa Murphy’s pizza with what little profit they made on the transaction.
Of course I’m exaggerating, but only a little. They may not even like Papa Murphy’s.
The moral of the story: I’m a relatively high hassle, low profit customer. I have been for ten years. Even so, they always do their best to take care of me.
And of course the metal is bent just right.

My experience with All Spec Sheet Metal was perfect. I needed a local sheet metal fabricator to make some steel skins for two tables I am building for a customer. I just picked up the two skins and could not be happier! They are perfect — exactly what I wanted.
The best part? Dave called me and asked a few clarifying questions about what I was asking to be made. He even offered to «hem» or roll the edges so there were no sharp edges. He also asked if the dimensions I specified were inner or outer dimensions, which I did not specify initially.
And, lastly, Laurie was fantastic! Her customer service skills were awesome and her total focus on my little, tiny job was impressive.
