DELIVERYOFNYC-OLD-STYLEPIZZA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ FRESH– RIGHTTOYOURSHELL/PISMO«MANSION» ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DONOTPASSGO, DONOTCOLLECT $ 200, ORDERREFLEXIVELYWHILEFAMISHED! Since I just loved stopping by the Express part of G’s for the past few years, it was no brainer… wait, why did it take me 2 years to realize this… it could be delivered right to my doorstep… where I have my own fine local vino, cider, beer, water, etc… Was it as good as getting it by the slice… it depends on when you hit the shop , the demand, and how long it has been sitting there. I love their Pizza by the slice, but the past year or so, they refuse to give you crappy tap water, so you will be forced to buy a drink. That really irks me as a regular customer, so now I hesitate to go there… I know it is silly, but so is giving somebody simple tap water. I generally eat 1 – 3 slices & get a pricey Gelato, and sometimes so of their canned Ventresca Tuna at about $ 10 a can. So, I used to go there weekly, now I have not been there in months. Besides the water, issue… they took away the table napkins, the salt & pepper, & still have the same crappy uncomfy chairs & tables… not to mention, not so great service, by the youngsters. I have been here dozens & dozens of times, and they still think I am a dammed tourist. You must really rate to have the Pizza Guy in the back say hello to you(I think he is also a Paul). To be far, most of the people who come in here, both tourist & local alike a generally polite. My fav is the a fresh by-the-slice Magarita Pizza or their Sicillian«Deep» Dish Pizza… which you cannot order by the pie, nor by delivery… who knows why… takes too long to cook? Anyway, if you order delivery, you can expect(at least from my experience), a speedy hot yummy delivery. They beat their delivery estimate by a mile, which is great. Even though they are further out than our local Shell Beach Pizza place(which is a close second, but too variable), they beat them in speed, quality of the Pizza, and it was still hot. Since my wife is a rabid vegetarian, we always have to get lots(sometimes) too many Veges on the Pizza, which can make it soggy at times… so try to avoid things like Spinach on a delivery. We almost always get an extra large & still have little left over for us two. We are like sharks on this thing! The price for the delivery of this yummy Pizza, well no more that in store, plus tip… plus you do not waste time going back & forth. You also have far better seating, with an Ocean view(in my case), the Real Italian Parmesan which I grate with a lemon zester, fresh Micronesian Pepper, an fine Santa Maria Pinot, & all the comforts of home. They will also deliver other stuff, like Lasagna. I will have to ask about pre-packed Gelato next time, but I do not see why. I am quite sure they will sell me WATER, but I don’t know about alcoholic type of supplies. In store, your only choices of spices are: salt, pepper, hot pepper, & cheese… while at home, you can have the works in your spice rack: Oregano, Garlic Power, etc… If I were you, seeing how nutty busy they are, especially after 5PM on weekdays, where they may even say they are too busy, I would order on off times. I would also carefully go over the order with the youngster on front. I asked for Parmesan on the side(which sometimes charge for in store) & I think I got a sprinkle on top. BTW– On the other note, since I have been back to NYC three times in the past year or so, I can say that the old REALDEALNYCSTYLEPIZZA is a dying bred in Manhattan, & very endanger in the Boroughs… unless you are former local & have local friends & family who are either Italian, or know their shit about Pizza. The real Ray’s is a pack of crappy clones, & the few attempts at eating NYC Pizza recommended by Unilocalers almost made me puke. How the mighty have fallen! Anyway, despite what any review will claim, G’s still maintains the OLDSCHOOLHIGHQUALITYALMOSTMYTHICALNYCSTYLEPIZZA… G-D BLESSTHEM! P. This place rocks and their Veggie Pizza is soooo good! I highly recommend the Margherita or Campania… and they sell it by the slice… they’re huge pieces and at a great value… and always consistently delicious. The aroma of fresh basil and arugula is like the old country!

The pizza was delicious! The service wasn’t so great. We asked for a 6:15pm pick up, at 5:30, and were told th they could make two pizzas in 45 mins. Great! Got there and them waited 20 mins while they worked on other orders. While waiting we watched one of the gals answer the phone, put someone on hold and then just turn around and wait for a customer to enter the store. She made the person wait for over five minutes while she did nothing. I was quite perplexed! Yikes!

Agree with the last post! Food is ok but the service is not ok. One of the young girls was pretty rude! If you want both, visit the actual restaurant across the street. You will pay a bit more but lots of good options. A nice Italian restaurant for sure!

Good food but kinda rude service. Mostly high school workers, some have bad additudes. I got the last of the gelato and the girl said to her friend«oh great, now we have to make more gelato… ugh». Could work on being a little nicer but good food!
