If you love your pet, please do not bring them here! I can’t believe this place is still even open! I brought my dog here a couple years back (yes, this review is long overdue but judging by the pics, it has not changed much) and they ended up cutting him around his manhood, leading to an infection and an expensive trip to the vet.
I’ve taken my dog to other groomers since and they have all claimed that he is very good while being groomed, so how exactly these people ended up wounding my dog in such a sensitive area beats me.
To be completely honest though, they did do a pretty good job grooming him for a low price but just goes to show that you get what you pay for!

used my groupon today 10−16−14; and i must say i was very very very happy, my dog (diva)came out smelling good, cut very nice and neat, no cuts, everything was perfectly done, i love this place diva will be back soon ! 5 stars from me, 5 stars from diva thankyou so much pets with attitude ! groupon is the shit lol !!!

The just suck. They cut my dog twice. They are cheap. You get what you pay for cheap service. No more

I took my 12 pound dog here because we moved near here not to long ago and wanted to support a local business but did I make a mistake. I took my dog to get a quick trim and when I picked him up he looked scared for some reason. I didnt think much of it because he got like that at other groomers. But after a few hours at home went by he kept licking hus paws. I took a look and saw that they had trim the fur in the bottom of the paw to the point they made a cut between his little «fingers» or whatever they are called lol. He wouldnt even let me look at it because it hurt so much. It took over a week before he could really be back to normal. Never again will I go there.

If you love your pet please read this and dont take them here! These people know nothing about grooming, how to treat animals nicely nor do proper business!
I bought a groupon for my large poodle mix. I called them and told them that he was nervous around strangers and asked if they had any groomers that knew how to handle this. I specifically asked if this was for a full grooming including nails, ears and anal gland. I was assured it was and they did. When i made the appointment, Carmen, the manager told me to come on Wednesday when there would be 4 groomers and they could see which one my dog was most comfortable with. She said she would be there too. That sounded great and very nice of her. I told her he had mats and she said it may cost $ 5-​$ 10 more which was fine. I also got a groupon for my Yorkie so she would be with my big dog so he wouldn’t be nervous.
So we show up Wednesday morning and the person at the counter said that we did NOT have an appointment, there was nothing in the books and they were really busy. Now my husband had taken off from his busy schedule just to drive over half an hour from our home to help me take the dogs to the groomers. I told this woman that I had made the appt with Carmen. So she said she would fit us in but they were very busy today. So I left my dogs and even though I told the woman that the small dog was there to make the big one more comfortable, she put them in separate rooms!
So we stayed in the area just in case there were any problems and not drive all the way back home. I called Carmen and told her. She said she would call me within the hour if there were any issues. So an hour and a half later no call and we had to go back and pick up our daughter from school. As soon as we go back home Carmen called and said they couldn’t groom our dog because he was growling. I asked if I could be with him during the grooming to keep him calm. The groomer didnt want to but Carmen did agree.
So we went back. My big dog was still tied to the door as he had been 2 hours before. I baby talked him and he was quite calm as I put a muzzle they gave me on him. I led him to the grooming room where at least 1 dozen other poor little dogs were and ran to me for attention. While I stroked my own dog’s ears or held his head to keep him calm, I also gave my attention to each and every one of those other dogs because NO ONE else did at all! The other woman just swept. My Yorkie wasn’t groomed yet either.
The groomer named Pierre was the surliest Hispanic man I have ever met. I tried to engage him in conversation but he just frowned and for the most part ignored me. The only thing he ever said to the dog was chchch. Dogs are like children, they need calming. They got no attention here. No wonder my dog growled. My dog was shaved down with the most amateur cut ever, lots of unevenness. It was ok with me because I just wanted his hair short and wasn’t looking for a beauty cut. The fur came off easily with a clipper though. He didnt have to do anything special for the mats Throughout the cut he kept sighing like he wanted to be anywhere but here. Ok. When he was done, I led my dog out to the wash room where the other woman washed him. As we left the room i heard the ungodliest cry from my Yorkie. I don’t know what he did to her but I couldn’t run back to see. She had never screamed like that before!
I asked about the anal gland expression and she said the groomer would have to do that and that it was extra. I said Carmen had told me it was included but she said no. Ok, who grooms a dog without cleaning out his glands? Again, I let it go. I was doing part of the work!!!
She went back and brought out my Yorkie (who looked fine when I brought her in) and she looked ridiculous. She looked like a cross between a rat and a schnauzer! She looked nothing like a Yorkie! I said nothing as to how ugly she looked because I was exhausted and just happy to have my big dog done.
I gave the woman my groupons and get this, she said I had to pay $ 60 extra!!! What? My dogs mats shaved off easily and he didn’t even need any special trimming. He didn’t even look like he’d had a professional cut! The woman took my groupon & looked at it. She had the audacity to ask how much I had paid for it. What difference did that make? I paid for a full grooming which I didnt even get.
She said she would call Carmen (who had assured me when I made the appt that it might be $ 5-​$ 10 extra for mats, that there would be 4 groomers there, that she would be there for sure. All lies) Carmen this time took a nasty tone with me even though I was completely courteous. She said I had to pay $ 60 more because the groomer had to spend more time on him. Not true, I was actually there and helped! I told her it wasn’t fair. Suddenly she got very rude and said just take your dogs and never come back. This was soooo offensive!
I would NEVER come back to a place where they not only treat me poorly but the animals as well!

Pets with Attitude is located behind The Ember on San Pablo Avenue in Pinole. Walking in with my Golden Lab, she was treated with a milk bone. From there it was off to grooming. In two hours it was done, and they had no problems with an over friendly golden.
Next month, we will be back!

HUGE ZERO!!! The horrible reviews keep coming. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!!! They are clueless when it comes to pet services. They are NOT pet friendly & I believe someone in there has a serious animal hating personality. Please Pinole, SHUT THEM DOWN!

This place is HORRIBLE. I called to make an appt at 10 AM the woman on the phone told me it would take 3 hrs. Two days later a Mexican guy at the counter told me it would take 5 hrs to give a 15 lb dog a bath and trim. He was so rude and told me he was too busy. Even though I had an appt and heard one dog barking in the back. He was obviously lying. I will never take me dog there.

i’ve been bringing my yorkie here for years, and have been pretty satisfied so far. up until this week when he went in for a haircut, but came home needing STITCHES.
the only problem is that we weren’t told that he got CUT when we picked him up.
they even tried to cover it up with medication, which hardened, and with what i can only assume is a wad of already-​cut hair.
when he came home, it seemed like a pretty good nick, more in the form of a slit. we called to complain and were told that when dogs get «nicked,» it is common for the groomer to apply medication.
only, a few days later, we realized that it wasn’t just a «nick.» after all that medication and packed gunk fell off, we realized my dog had a gaping HOLE in his chest.
We called them back immediately. LONG STORY SHORT, their solution was for me to bring my dog in for a medicated bath and more «medication» and then wanted me to see a vet in their insurance network, which would have taken an additional couple of days.
MIND YOU, the manager who we were corresponding with had not yet even seen my dog and i’m pretty miffed that she kept minimizing my dog’s injury by referring to it as a «nick.»
I then brought my dog to see his own vet, who now said that this LACERATION actually needed STITCHING, but since he wasn’t seen immediately after injury, the tissues had already begun to heal and that stitches were now out of the question.
Now my poor little guy needs his wound flushed twice a day and then an antibiotic ointment… for weeks! and even if this thing were to heal, there is going to be a pretty nasty scar.
i will NEVER bring my dog back here.
The actions of this groomer were extremely irresponsible, unprofessional, and UNACCEPTABLE.
Obviously we will not be returning ever again.

I brought my two little dogs here for a bath, nail trim etc. they are short hair dogs and don’t require haircuts and trimming.
Dropped then off at 8:30 in the morning on a Saturday without an appointment and returned to pick them up around 1. I like that they accept drop-​ins and that the dogs can roam the facility. It seemed to be a less stressful experience for my dogs than petsmart, where they pull and tug to leave the place even before being groomed. They were also able to trim my dogs nails, which petsmart and pinole pet hospital where unable to do successfully.

I have had a love hate relationship with this place for the last year. The grooming is ok, depending on who is doing your dog… BUT the service is just soooooo bad I can’t type fast enough to explain. I’ve never experienced many places that lack in customer care, but this one makes that list. My dog grooming appointments have been cancelled or «no showed» more than several times here. There has even been days that I show up to drop off my dog with an appt. and they are closed!!! No phone call, nothing. Just yesterday this same issue happened to me and my dog. I called to make an appt. on Sat and made it for the morning on Monday. Monday comes and I call to say that I’m running a few min behind. I was told no problem «we’ll see you when you get here». I show up to the location and I’m asked why I was there. I stated I had an appt and had called because I was running late. The lady (helper, not a groomer or owner) told me that my appt had been cancelled because the groomer would not be making it in today. I asked why I wasn’t told this when I called, and she said because she got the phone call after I called. I then asked why I was not called back and informed, I verified that she had my number. She had no answer for me. I asked what would have happened if I dropped off my dog earlier and left him there… She said I would have had to come back and didn’t say that she would have called right away. I told her how upset I was and how this has happened way more than once and I’d like to speak with the owner. She gave me her name, Carmen and a number… Come to find out it was just the same number to the facility. I was more than irritated. I still left a message requesting her to call me back. It would be different if this were a one time thing, but this is the usual here and it is so not professional. I’ll never be returning. I’ll be going to Waggs and Whiskers from now on! They saved me yesterday!

Worst service ever. 2^nd time I have to yank out my dog because they Are asking me to wait for 8 hours even though I have an appt set 3 days ago.

I’ve been taking my dog to Pets with Attitude (Pinole) for his regular grooming over the past 2 years.
January 2012 –he came back with fleas, but i didn’t think it was a big deal seeing that many other dogs get groomed there so it was bound to happen sooner or later
December 2012-​when i went to pick my dog up after his grooming appointment, i noticed that his eyes were red. i didn’t think to much of it considering it was probably a reaction to the shampoo. The next afternoon when i returned from work i noticed that his eyes were still red so i decided to take a closer look, assuming that it was an eye infection. When i took a closer look at my dogs eyes i realized that they were bleeding. Since eye bleeding isn’t something i am accustomed to seeing i immediately contacted my veterinarian. The veterinarian ran tests and examined both of his eyes. After receiving his test results she concluded that the only cause for his eye bleeding would be trauma regarding strangulation or being yanked while having something extremely tight around his neck. This visit to the vet costs over $ 370
Like most pet parents I carefully selected Pets with Attitude hopeful that the staff would treat my dog in a kind and caring manner .

I take my Maltese and Yorkie to Pets with Attitude. The place is clean, the people are gentle, and the owner Carman genuinely cares about pets. They do a excellent job in following my instructions when grooming my dogs, which is very important to me. I highly recommend this facility to everyone wanting quality service.

I’ve been taking my dog here for 3 years and this time they cut him to the point where he needs stitches! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!!! They have a reputation for cutting and hurting animals!

i’ve been taking 2 of my doggies here for the past 5 years. I’ve always received excellent services from the owner and staff. The staff treats both of doggies with love and care. The owner was extremely caring when she offered a trial treatment for my dog who seemed to have skin allergies. She wanted to help my dog and didn’t bother to charge me. (this shows that these people love what they do and care what they do.)
the facility is very clean and friendly. It definitely looks like a spa for dogs! The dogs roam around and socialize with other dogs, which i thought was cute. This gave my doggies bonding time with other dogs.
Overall, i will continue to take my dogs here due to the services and trained staff.

I had brought my maltipoo Sammie here mulitple times and had been very happy with the results. I thought I had found a place that was great. Then one day my husband brought home Sammie from the groomers and I saw that his eye was swollen and really wet from tears. He had been cut on the lid of his eye. We called and spoke to the manager Carman, she apologized and offered us a free grooming. We decided to take him back since we assumed that this was a one time incident.
The next few groomings were fine, but then one day 2 months ago that all changed. My husband brought home Sammie and Sammie was not his normal self. He was shaking and didn’t want to move. When I went to inspect him, Sammie had cuts in his ears, a cut on his stomach, long scratches on both arms and neck, and major razor burn on the inner parts of his legs. We were horrified by what the groomer had done to our dog. We went back to the groomers and demanded to talk to him and all he did was make excuses. We will never take our dog back to a place that could be so careless and cruel.

They have good deal in this shop, i am satisfied with my dogs grooming.

I found this place doing a google search. I think google had their old address, but once I found the new location I was pleasantly surprised. The place is clean, lots of space in the lobby and great customer service. My dog ended up staying there most of the day. Almost like half a day of doggie daycare. When they are done getting groomed they are free to roam with other dogs.
I think I paid about $ 40, which is what I paid at another place that was not impressive, clean or friendly.
I plan to return to this groomer/​facility.
