This review is solely on how fast i got an appointment. Called in 2pm left a voice message, received a message within the hour. Im in dire need to get carpet cleaned as soon as possible and A1 fit me in for the next day! Will follow up with a review on the actual service…

I have used these guys twice to clean pile carpet in my apartments to try get the security deposit back. Very nice cleaning job. I believe the prices are very good for how much square footage you get. Nice guy.

Excellent work! I had BLACK and BROWN stains and TONS of spots on my light beige colored carpet. He came in, worked so fast yet carefully and removed everything. It was a miracle. The carpet looks absolutely new! I was impressed. I will not have anyone else clean my carpet EXCEPT the nice carpet guy he partners with who I originally called and who referred me to him. Can’t remember that other company’s name but if this guy refers you to someone, take the referral: they work together and do excellent work. I wish I had 6 stars to give. He was also polite, professional and helped me move my couch!

Showed up on time, completely professional, charged what was quoted without trying to up-sell…that’s as good as it gets.
The carpet and furniture looked amazing after cleaning and the price was the best of all the quotes I received.
$ 80 for a 12×14 rug and $ 120 for a microfiber couch and chair… nice!

A1 did a great job servicing my two bed room condo in hercules. I called in earlier that day and spoke to Gompo, who was extremely nice and friendly. I told him that I wouldn’t be able to get to my condo until after work, which was about 6:30. and he said it was ok.
He showed up right on time, which was a great thing, as I’ve seen many service people come late. It was a good change of pace.
He finished my two rooms in less than 2 hours. and all the stains and spots were all gone.
Extremely friendly, professional service, I would highly recommend to any one of my friends.

after a heavy rain this month, the color of my carpet turned from beige to almost black on traffic areas. i was disappointed for not taking care of my carpet since it was only two years since i bought this carpet. so i was shopping around for a carpet cleaning and i came across a1 chempro. the person got me down for the weekend appointment. the technician arrived on time at 9 am. he gave me a 99.95 special for the carpet and assured that he can get the black traffic area back to its original condition. he was very knowledgable about carpet. i even had my sofa and love seat done 150.00 special which is very reasonable compared to what i payed previously.
after he was done, the carpet looked new to me and the carpet dried in about two hours which was awesome, the upholstery took about 4 hours to dry. this was all done in about 3 hours. i will definitely use them again.

Like the previous reviewer, I received this recommendation through Bay Area Dry Master as well. Our mattress was in dire need of cleaning and mold removal after six months of torture in a poorly ventilated and insulated apartment (i.e. any room for rent in the East Bay).
I called A1 on a Sunday (!) and spoke with Gompo. He was quick and responsive and set up an estimate appointment for the next day. I was hoping he would actually clean it out on that Monday but he just did the estimate. His schedule was flexible, he understood my tight schedule, and came Tuesday morning to clean the mattress.
It was a pleasure to have him over; he took the time to explain what he was doing and was very knowledgeable about the details and the science behind the cleaning mechanisms, a big plus for an engineer like myself.
His rate was $ 100 to clean a queen mattress, $ 20 for a queen boxspring, and he sanitized the mold-​affected portions of both items for free.
I was highly satisfied with this service, although I hope I don’t need to use it again anytime soon!

For more than one year, Trixie has been pissing in generous downpours on our tasteful modern palette of 80% post-​consumer, recycled fiber Flor, Fedora carpet tiles. Our Friday night Netflix screenings became like curling up on a urinal cake.
Yesterday, with a friend coming to stay overnight in a couple of days, I realized the shame train was bearing down on me and I called Bay Area Dry Master, because they had so many good Unilocal reviews. They couldn’t help me in the time frame I needed them for, but they referred me to A1 Chempro.
Gompo, the A1 proprietor, booked me for the next day (Sunday Morning) and gave me an estimate over the phone. The next day, he arrived about 20 minutes late, but immediately set to his thorough inspection of the carpet with a blacklight and goggles, after which he revised his estimate upward (he could not have guessed at Trixie’s prolificity). It’s $ 80 a gallon for the «urine treatment,» and he wincingly told us that our rug would require 3 gallons. He finished the job uneventfully, and within an hour.
When it was done, the carpet had a new stink, which he said would worsen in a couple of hours, then dissipate over the course of a day or so. I didn’t care; the new stink had novelty in its favor. Instead of a subliminal preoccupation with urinal cake, I found myself with a new curiosity about enzymes and molecular science. That’s progress.
The house smells normal now, a clean slate, though now that Trixie is no longer allowed in the Flor room, I wonder if Chempro can fix hardwood…
