Parking lot is extremely small. Restaurant is cramped and cluttered. Food was ok. Maybe we came on an off day? Bun bo hue was bland. My bun thit nuong was very fatty. Son’s rice dish with grilled pork was ok. Cheap prices though. Service was ok. Typical service you would expect at a Viet hole in the wall restaurant. Wait time for food was really long, I think there was only one lady in the kitchen though. If the food was amazing, we would definitely come back. We weren’t feeling it though. There are plenty of other Viet restaurants in the area we would rather eat at. Hubby was really hyped for the bun bo hue but eh, he’s had better elsewhere.

Overrated. The place is not ready for prime time… I went there and had a duck noodle and it was good. So I tried went back the second time a few weeks later and they didn’t have this dish, so had to get something else instead(spicy beef noodle) and it was no good. Went there today for the third time(about 2 months out from first visit). It was a Saturday afternoon and they didn’t have the duck again. Why? This place is extremely small. On the second time, the lady just said she would not accept credit card. Why? I agree that this place gives an authentic experience because it operates in a third word country standard. Not sure how sanitary the kitchen is either. I would not waste my time going back there again.

Just based on the name they’d get 10 stars from me if I could rate that high. Priceless.

Like they say on here… BUNBOHUE really is the best!!! Not a fan of their phở though. The duck and bamboo noodle soup is great too.

If you’re looking for authentic Vietnamese food, I highly recommend coming to Bich Nga. I always get their Bun Bo Hue(spicy beef noodles) it has a very rich flavor to it. I love that it comes with a dipping sauce, which makes it more flavorful. I don’t recommend coming here on the first date, since it’s a slow place you’ll smell like food when you’re leaving. Just saying!

Amazing food, great prices. The family that owns the place is so sweet. Don’t understand why people come to a very small family owned Vietnamese restaurant looking for a Bern’s steakhouse experience and are upset about the décor *rolls eyes*

The name alone earns full one star baby! The place is on the busy Park Blvd(on movie theater side) and and small, only 7 tables, so we must be lucky to hit Sat 5 pm before 007 Spectra show. The place was deserted so we got lots of attention and good service. I love what I tried, and I’d love to come back for other items on the menu. Food = Very satisfied, plus, every table has 5 or more condiments to customize the meal. Nice. Interior = apparently owner doesn’t care, boxes stack up everywhere, you know, i’m OK with that… keep the low cost and casual vibe for long time, please. Cleanliness = OK… I ordered Banh Canh Cha Ca which is a bowl of noodle soup, with thick round noodle and chicken broth, topped with Vietnam herbs and fresh ingredients. This dish unfortunately is no different from beef phở noodle, it’s hard to say which is better, both are good, As you walk in you might smell that Asian grocery store smell… i still don’t know what contributes to that odor, but, asian market always has that particular smell.

This place was okay. It’s a REALLY small restaurant ran by a small family so the wait times can get pretty bad along with the service. Ordered the bun bo hue along with a special phở and both were okay. Nothing that I would really rave about. This place is located at a cool spot and the people there are nice but I don’t think they know how to handle a big crowd. Wait times were bad, each table got their dish one by one depending on who came in first and you practically have to wait your turn on your dish unless you got an appetizer which thankfully we did or else we would’ve starved. Got the spring rolls and they were exceptionally good. That’s probably it. Won’t be back for a while.

Not gonna lie. I visited Bich Nga solely because I wanted to get a picture of their«Bich Nga» sign(which I posted on my Twitter and got 30k likes). Besides, Bich Nga is one of a few Viet restaurants that have bun bo hue… so they’ve got that going for them. Their phở was average. The bun bo hue was decent but was really really challenging to eat as the SHORT noodles kept slipping out of the chopsticks.

I was craving Bún Bò Huê and decided to try this place out. Thankfully they were open and had seating available upon arrival because I tried calling prior to going but they did not answer the phone. They got pretty full after I was seated and a few people had to wait outside. Parking is limited here. The Bún Bò Huê was alright. I got the extra large bowl and it was a good size. Prices here are reasonable. But my noodles were short and choppy. They were most likely the noodles left from the bottom of the package. The service here was not the best. The elderly gentleman who I assume was the owner was not friendly at all.

Without a doubt, best bun bo hue by far. I’ve tried this dish in different restaurants in different states, but time and time I prefer this place than any other! The broth is greatly seasoned and given generous amounts of meat and veggies. I must be honest, the phở was alright, but that’s cause they use most of their time and energy to perfect their golden child.

Some of the items on the menu that my wife and I were interested in weren’t available. Not sure if they are weekday-only items or what. Even so, there were plenty of other items to choose from. The food and prices both seemed good. The pork, egg, and rice was really good(I think it was number 20 on the menu) The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was there atmosphere. They could use some help redoing the interior. It felt a bit like«Hoarders: Restaurant Edition». Especially given how small the building already is, having additional boxes of styrofoam cups, dried noodles, etc. piled on top of some tables and on the shelves made the place feel even smaller. All in all, though, I felt like it’s a solid choice for local Vietnamese. It’s more divey than Seasons Bakery, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It feels better suited for ‘meals’ rather than ‘snacks’, so I think I’d be willing to get larger portions and stay longer here than at Seasons Bakery.

The parking lot area was smelly and there were random boxes in the sitting area. We order 2 dishes to go and were offered the free cold green tea while we were waiting. I actually like the refreshing tea. The grill chicken rice and grill pork rice(no. 22) were not bad. I guess the strong dishes of this restaurant are the noodle soup. I may try them next time.

Thanks to Melinda M. She shed some light on a first impression I got. They serve tea water, so the color of the drinking water looks different, just an FYI. I didn’t know that, so you know, and don’t get freaked out like I did. I learned something new thanks to almighty Asian Melinda M. Vietnamese Dancing Queen! I had a beef soup with noodles, not phở, I forget the number. It was good at the time. The bowls are super huge. It was filled with some veggies, I wish it had bok choy, but it didn’t. It is not good as a left over either. It gets all starchy. The beef, I know it prob gives the broth flavor, but it was super fatty. Not my thing. My hubby ordered a normal pork chop with veggies, egg, and broken rice. Thats pretty simple. Can’t mess that up. He was happy. I checked this place off my list. Okay done.

I would never try to say the name of this restaurant out loud, because I’m incredibly well bred. The only customers in here, the only language spoken the night I was here was Vietnamese. This enabled me to overlook the dingy, cramped, unattractive décor. Better selection of Vietnamese noodle soups than I’ve experienced, so I got a seafood egg noodle soup I’ve never had before. At first they were a little stingy with the dangerous peppers until I insisted. The spring rolls were quite good, the service was quite good considering I don’t speak Vietnamese and the server didn’t really speak English. A very good deal.

This place is not for the faint of hearts. Ya you the one that complains about spots on the silverware. That’s from the dishwasher. =p If that’s you don’t come here please coz you’ll give them a bad review because of it and they’re good. It’s a total dive spot. I’ve seen people walk in and turn around and walk out. The parking lot is tiny but i think they’re expanding it into the next plaza. You walk up to the building and you’re like do I walk up the ramp or up the stairs? Which door do I open? When you open the door you’re a bit confused. Make sure that someone sees you so they know you’re there. The customers after us just walked in and kind of sat there for a while… I had to motion over to the lady that there was someone else inside. Our waitress is the sweetest old lady. You feel kind of weird having her take your order, or at least i did because it was like my grandma was asking me what to eat drink etc. where as i’m used to asking her what she needs. I wanted to tell her to sit down and rest! hahah Anyways, it’s broken English so a bit of translation will get lost along the way. She kind of forgot about us after she brought the drink and felt horrible when she realized 10 minutes into it that she never got our order. Just stay for the entire ride it’s well worth it. The food was done quickly after that. =) Get the Vietnamese coffee, it’s that jolt of energy that will last well into the night. The food is very fresh. We got fresh rolls and they were packed so tightly nothing fell out and into my sauce, this is a plus! They weren’t stingy like other places are with just putting 2 pieces of shrimp and a slice of beef. They loaded it up with 3 shrimp and slices of beef mmm. The hubs and I shared the pork chop plate and it was just the right size to be content but not completely filled. They have the sauce on the side that needs to be in the rice! Its a mix of sour and sweet. The name always made me laugh and finally we turned into the lot and tried it. I’m glad we did!

I love café Bích Nga! Eating here is truly like dining at your favorite grandparents house as they serve up true and authentic Vietnamese food. The food at bich nga is always made with the freshest ingredients, and is located in a quaint little quiet strip mall right on park ave & off us 19. The food is always made here fresh to order and cooked & served by this small little elderly couple. When ever I eat here it just takes me back into time and gives me memories of my grandparents making one of my favorite home cooked dishes just for me. It’s seriously the cutest thing ever as once you sit down and order once you get served as you are guaranteed a great meal from anything you order. Not only are the portions great, but they are huge and relatively inexpensive as compared to the neighbouring Applebee’s &BJ’s just down the road. If my stomach is growling and i had a choice between a local chain and café Bích Nga, you can def count on seeing me right here!

Best known for their Bun Bo Bue. Very small seating area. I wouldn’t recommend a party of 10 or more. This place is the epitome of hole in the wall but you’ll find yourself coming back for more. Definitely a go to place for good home tasty bun bo hue.

This place was pretty great: food and staff. I love the restaurant’s name too. The restaurant was super small. There were additional seats outside, but it may seem like most folks to-go their food. The(unsweetened) iced tea served was good; something different than the typical water. The bun bo hue was tasty. I think it could have been a tad more spicy, but overall it was good from the mini sample I got from my friend. This seems to be the popular item to get btw. The bun mang vit was pretty good. The broth was sweet; my friend said it was too sweet while the other said it was good. The dipping sauce for the duck was bland, but the entrée itself was good in my opinion. Parking was pretty available since this parking lot was pretty empty. Bich Nga was actually set off to the side. It looks like a cozy house more than a restaurant.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while now since everyone tells me the Bun Bo Hue is really good here, so I decided to stop by and try this place out. Walking in, the place was really small. There were a handful of tables, most of them occupied already. There were only two people working and one guy seemed overwhelmed, but they managed. We sat down and quickly ordered our meals; bun bo for me and my sister; banh canh(tapioca noodle soup) for my dad; and bun mang vit(duck noodle soup) for my cousin. The food came out really quickly considering the guy was telling us how overwhelmed he was. My dad, who is a pretty picky eater, and will tell the restaurant if he liked it or not to their face(Vietnamese old man tells it like it is); thought his banh canh was really good. He said the broth was flavorful with a good portion of meat. I agree, as I also tasted the broth. My cousin who ordered the duck soup had the same sentiments regarding the broth and portion size. As for the bun bo-good portions of meat and the broth was seasoned well. It had a nice spicy kick to it(and they had a side plate of shrimp paste and hot spices to put in it). You can tell they simmered the broth in lemongrass(which is one of the main ingredients in bun bo, and a staple) of bun bo. Another ingredient in bun bo is shrimp paste which I love, and was happy that they brought out extra for us to add. Was this bun bo the best I ever had? No, because that honor goes to my dad who makes the best and everyone raves about his, but if I had to go to a place to get some, I would recommend this place. We all agreed that this place has better noodle soup than Saigon Deli, and definitely worth a try.

Go ahead and put a crown on this Bich Nga. It is the undisputed Phở King. Bun Bo Hue seems to be the house specialty. They also serve up a corn gruel soup with pig parts that looked good. And they have several banh mi types, fresh rolls and Vietnamese coffees. Honestly the straight up water they serve with lime is good. I wanted to try their shakes(durian, jackfruit, or soursop) but the lady who makes them goes home at 2. Very friendly service. I did have a mosquito bugging me. But this is definitely the real deal. If you want a more fusion gringo version go with Green Mint. But if you’re down with more unusual, fattier, and more flavorful cuts and flavors, hoof it over here ASAP.

How do you pronounce Bich Nga? Instead of Bich Nga, I would like to refer to this place as Bich Nghes! The interior space is mostly bench seating for large groups. Most of the tables are floor are marble, so it can get really loud at times. Since it is a Café, their iced coffee is some of the best in The Bay as so are their house-made sodas. I had the Soda Chanh, fresh lemon/lime-ade. When we visited for lunch on a Saturday, the entire staff was grannies. There were two grandpas as well that came and went as time went by. While we were there, the staff sat down for lunch. I almost wanted to sit with them and learn some Vietnamese. Everyone was very welcoming. For other reviews they appear to be famous for their Bun Bo Hue and Bun Mam, so I decided to go with the Bun Bo Hue. Bun Bo Hue is famous for having blood cubes and pork trotters, also being great for when you are ill— the spice and temperature of the soup will clear out your skull. I have had this dish on many other occasions before, and it is typically loaded with fish sauce. At Bich Nghes the broth is smooth tasting and the surface is loaded with red dots of chilli oil. If you are not careful while eating, this oil will flick up and get into your eyeball. It happened to me once, and almost twice in the same sitting, shame on me. I definitely need some soup goggles! Many people talk about their Bun Bo Hue and Bun Mam, but their Phở dishes are totally noteworthy. The broth is rich with star anise, cinnamon, and yellow onion. No sauces necessary. It was a busy Saturday, but Granny did not want us to order any of the Banh Mi or Che Ba Mau dessert. She said that the chef was not there to make it during this peak time, or maybe she just did not want us to order it. Too bad because I really wanted to try their Banh Mi. Granny also suggested that we do not order the Bo Kho, despite having this dish many times before, because she said there is too much tendon. I recommend parking in the parking lot to the left, which is always empty. The parking lot in front is difficult to maneuver and is gravel.
