History

Established in 2012.

L4P just opened in August 2012. This store is the culmination of years of working with dogs and cats as a trainer and caretaker. I do my homework and research all the food products that I sell to be sure that pets are getting something delicious, safe and healthy.

Opening this store has been a dream of mine and my goal is to make an impact on our small community by giving residents a great shopping experience with many value added services.

We look forward to having educational events for the community and to donate to charitable causes such as the Mountain Communities SPCA! We have a great space for pet adoption events as well!

Meet the Business Owner

Lola M.

Business Owner

I am a lover of all animals, domesticated and wild. Living in the mountains I feel very lucky to have plenty of both. I have 4 dogs: Ike, Ace, Cookie and Maurice as well as Kitty Carlmalden my wacky kitty with the funny nose.

I recently moved to the mountains from Los Angeles where I lived for 20 years. During my years in LA, I was a volunteer at the city shelter and worked with hundreds of dogs as a trainer and an advocate. I also helped to start a non-profit organization to help shelter animals called Shelter Animal Advocacy Fund, Los Angeles. I am still active helping the shelter and SAAFLA albeit from a distance.

I do continue to write my LA blog, doggiematchmaker on blogspot where I put the word out on dogs for adoption (and occasionally a kitty).

Up here on the mountain, I am on the Board of the MC SPCA where I focus on outreach to the community.

Animals are my passion and I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to have a pet-related business.
