History

Established in 1998.

Pine Mountain Hospitality Group has been serving guests of Pigeon Forge for over 30 years. The company opened MainStay Suites in July of 1998 and have since been awarded two Choice Hotels International Platinum Awards and was selected as their Inn of the Year in 2007. That same year it was awarded the best hotel by the Mountain Press Readers Choice. MainStay Suites offers all suites with kitchens, indoor /​outdoor pools, lazy river ride, and conferfence space for up to 400 attendees.

Manager

Phil Campbell has been with Pine Mountain Hospitality for over 25 years. He has worked in every aspect of the hotel business and has acheived the distinction of Certified Hotel Administrator through The Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Lodging Association. Phil is a life long resident of Sevierville and is a Past President of the Pigeon Forge Lodging Association and Pigeon Forge Rotary Club. Phil has been the General Manager at Mainstay Suites since it opened in 1998.

Very nice room and balcony. Could use some updates but overall was nice and clean. The check in staff weren’t super friendly and had an attitude though. I think they were stressed out because of the holiday season and issues between two rooms down the hall from us. So maybe things are usually better on the customer service side. The hotel was sold out and we noticed a lot of kids and teens running around unsupervised but that happens at most hotels. So ultimately we enjoyed our one-​night stay and the room met our expectations.

«Fit our needs.»
Our stay at the Mainstay fit my family’s needs. We were able to stretch out and have a comfortable stay in our suite. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. It had a full kitchen also. The staff was friendly and efficient. I would stay here again.

We were told about this hotel by a friend. We stayed through the week and had a total of 4 adults in the room, 2 being teen-​age boys. The staff was very nice and accommodating, giving us a room right next to the lobby. The room was very clean and included a balcony (even on the first floor), a full sized refrigerator, and a stove and dishwasher. The beds slept very well. The hotel itself was very clean. The only issues (if you would call them issues), were that they had a hard time keeping up with clean towels around the pool (they had three pools and two hot tubs), and they had only one person working the breakfast area. She had a hard time keeping up with demand, but she did the best she could do and for the most part, no one went without. It is just enough off the main road to be very quiet. I would recommend to anyone.

Usually when I visit Pigeon Forge I stay in the cabins but when I go for the winter ski fest, I always stay here. This is because the rooms are large with a sofa seating area and a small kitchenette with a large counter. I like that I have a place to make little food, store drinks and warm up my food.
Also, the hotel staff is really amazing. They are really friendly and kind and when I think about the crazy group I was traveling with and the events we had, I really appreciate the staff having so much patience and a good attitude. They deserve a medal for that one. The only downside to the hotel is the air. Like most hotels they need to probably clean their air ducts more often and change their air filters. I definitely could tell something was in the air and it did mess up my sinuses a bit.
Other than that this is a good place to stay and once again. Very friendly and accommodating staff.

Location about .4 miles from strip. But more quiet. Large indoor pool and big hot tub.
Rooms are nice. Kitchens and good for large family.
