Fabulous tailoring service! I bought a dress for a costume party and then found out I was pregnant. When the dress arrived two months later it didn’t fit. However Thuy worked her magic and altered it so I could still attend in costume. Don’t only does Thuy do great work, but she’s really fast. The dress with major alterations was completed in a week.

Really? Really? I went in and asked if they had lace. The first woman looked at me with a blank stare. A second woman came up and I again asked if they had lace. «Lace? Do you have any?». Another blank stare. I then realize that I am not communicating with them not because I’m Helen Keller(who, yes I know was actually a great communicator but I’m making a point here, okay? Okay.) but because the 2 women do not understand the language I am speaking. After another attempt I realize it is futile and glance around to see of they have any lace and leave when none reveals itself. I am all for enterprising in America but when a customer can’t be well served here because the proprietor does not understand a basic word(«lace») in their field(it is a fabric store), I’ve got to bow out of supporting that business since it just does not meet my needs.

I’ve been taking clothes and fabric to Thuy, the owner, for about 10 years for expert alterations and designs. When I moved farther away, I continued to bring my items to Thuy. In the time since I’ve known her she’s learned to speak fluent English, beautifully. Her prices are fair, her skill is A+ and she’s convenient to other shops on Piedmont, including Dopo, the Italian restaurant right next door.

5 star tailoring. I’ve been using them for a good 5 years now. They just did 2 coats, a pair of jeans, a skirt, men’s slacks… they can do anything. Complicated stuff like wedding gowns? Have a jacket you want re-lined? Did you wear out the butt of your jeans and want a patch no one will see? It’s a little pricey, but certainly not overpriced! The quality is great and they sometimes give me good deals when I bring in a large quantity of stuff. This is the spot!

I have been going to V-tex for years for all of my alterations, and I am absolutely delighted with the skill and service. Everything has turned out perfectly. I’ve also had clothing made for me here(from a pattern I chose), and was happy with the result. I’ve also purchased silk material from the store, which has a nice small selection of silks at reasonable prices.

I go here for alterations & they’re great. If you have to get clothing altered a lot like I do(I’m super short & curvy in a tall-and-thin world), you know that it can take a few tries to get alterations right. Sometimes changing one thing can bunch up another thing that you have to fix, etc. The ladies at V-Tex are always happy to work with me again on those second little fixes, always for free and always before I need them. Reasonable prices, prompt, great quality work and very friendly people — I highly recommend them!

I have taken many things here for alterations and I have always been extremely pleased with the quality of work. The owner(assuming) is always very kind and helpful. Her pricing is quite reasonable, a lot cheaper than others on the same street. I highly recommend her!

A little overpriced, but hey, this is piedmont. Their selection was pretty nice, especially their Asian patterns and designs.
