I will never go back, what a big waste of money. I ordered the chicken catsu and it was so dry and hard, like they cooked it for hours. I couldn’t even bite into some of the pieces. My husband ordered the shrimp curry and they didn’t even clean the shrimp properly, the tails were still attached and every couple bites he had to spit out. Not to mention the cashier had no service skills at all, and gave attitude when I asked for bbq sauce, saying they were out? This just sucked so bad, I wish I could’ve gotten my money back

Ehhh the food is okay. I guess if you are going to eat here you should get the Grilled chicken with Macaroni salad. Thats pretty good. A lot of winning lotto tickets are sold here. The workers can be really rude sooo yeah I would go somewhere else.

The guy who took my order was not friendly or thankful. He just mumbled. Why do people work as cashier and have no social skills? I order spam saimin to go. It took longer than it should. It was a waste of money. Too much noodles, no green onions, no taste at all. Sorry but you have to go to Hawaii to get the real thing.

I came in yesterday and ordered food to go. Some girl Natasha at the register was so rude, she gave me so much attitude. She was annoyed because I was there and she wanted to go on break. That’s your freaking job lady, it’s not my fault if you’re unhappy with your job. Don’t take it out on the customers! At one point she asked me what sides I wanted and I told her rice and macaroni. I asked if I had other options and she answers«I don’t know.» And shrugs her shoulders and walks away. She calls her boss and tells him what I ordered, she wanted him to finish the transaction but all he did was ignore her and continued what he was doing. I would of walked away at this point without buying anything because of her attitude but I was ordering this food for someone else. I personally will never go back.

Worst place to eat. I’ve been going to this restaurant since they first opened. The food was great most of the time bought lately it’s been bad. Like today I order 3 bbq mix plates with steamed cabbage and when I got home the cabbage looked like if it been thrown into a dirty grill. The chicken full of fat. I have a scale at home and I waited the fat it all boiled down to half a pound of fat and the cabbage full of geese. I believe if you love your job as a cook you would cook with your heart and care for what others think a-bought your cooking. I believe the cook is at fault. I new he did something wrong cuz when I was paying he gave me a weird and suspicious smile of evil. I called and ask to speak to owner he offer 15% of on my next visit then I said never to return then hong up then a girl called me to say that the Maneget said for me to go pick up a new plate for free and I turned him down. I am not here for free food. He should know better he has to keep an eye on his cook. I do not recommend this restaurant to no one. Good service bad food, Bad COOK!!!

I love the food there especially there short ribs, chicken bbq and spam musubi. The price is very decent and I believe this is the only place where I can find ramen burger compare to other L & L bbq. I would definitely go back for more. What’s best is that they sell lottery tickets as well so I won’t be thinking of where I can go purchase it.

Omg I Love this place! !!! I almost didn’t visit bc of the last review, But I was to lazy to go all the way to Norwalk. I get there and yeah it’s hot out, but I get there and the cashier let’s my bf know where the AC is best. I don’t know what to order so the cashier asked me what I prefer, she goes on to tell me the list of meats they have and how their cooked. I finally agree to a mix. I love the meat teriyaki to the max. Did anyone know it’s a fresh to order place? I didn’t mind waiting a bit. So I get to talking with the owner and let him know about the last Unilocal review. I understand. He was short one person, his cashier was out sick and apparently she is the best. As I begin to eat more customers come in, I notice that the cashier is greeted with so much love from the customers. Calling her by her first name, and asking how she is doing. It was the most welcoming moment I have seen in a fast food restaurant. The people are super nice the food was savory, tasty and juicy. I loved the mac. Bobas are sweet. I will be back. And this time I’m getting the loco moco. Sounds funny right? Lol ¤¤¤¤

I live down the street from this place and it definitely has gone down in quality over the last few years. Food is mediocre at best and the service/attitude is terrible. I ordered over the phone for take-out and the cashier/owner/family-member-of-the-owner(idk which since its been a while since I’ve ordered from here) was pretty curt over the phone and asked rudely to repeat myself three times for my order. Literally only ordered A mini Hawaian BBQ chicken box and a side of gravy fries, but Fine. No biggie to be honest. Once I go to pick up the order, the same cashier is on his iphone, texting or whatever, for ~30 seconds while I’m just standing there(I go their 20 min after they opened, no one is in line). Take a minute or two to get my food, and then hands it to me and charges me another .50 for some katsu sauce. Most L&Ls don’t charge for one sauce but w/e. He checks the food as he’s packing it and hands it over without much care and I’m on my way home. I get home and my fries don’t have gravy. *sigh* So I then drive back since I’m not gonna walk back and the guy is on his iphone again. Asks if I need anything and I tell him my gravy fries were missing the gravy part. He looks in disbelief like«wtf?» I give him the box and then goes over to the cooks and angrily tells/yells at them that they didn’t put gravy. He berates them with two or three more comments to them(pretty unprofessional and I’m embarrassed for the cashier and not for the cooks at this point since this sort of stuff happens, i get it). Hands me back my food and that’s it. No concern that I came back 15 minutes later to get what I had originally paid for. Poor management on his part for checking the food initially, not realizing the mistake that was avoidable and then blaming the cooks with no ounce of self-doubt when the concern is brought to his attention. Sadly, Gravy was super salty. Chicken was ½ fat ½ meat. Chicken was also dark brown and thats because one can see they don’t clean the grill at the end of the night. Kinda gross. Mac was all right and steamed rice was all right(can’t really screw that up.) All in all… Probably gonna drive a further distance to get Hawaiian food in the future. Such a shame. Also! Ever since a local mega million lottery winner originally purchased their winning lottery ticket here, the place has become more of a lottery center, with small winning tickets being posted all around the cashier area. As well as there are signs for various lotteries as well as a large scratcher-machine in one of the corners of the already small dining area. It seems they are preying off of peoples gambling habits as a large form of income rather than preying off of peoples’ appetite for a decent Hawaiian meal. This place has gotten downhill in food quality and aesthetics.

I have always love L&L but this place didn’t do L&L justice. We ordered the katsu, chicken bbq and the loco moco. I liked the katsu, I thought it was pretty good or I was just hungry. But they are stingy with their sauces. You get one with the plate but if u want another one it’s 50 cents for a 2 oz or so. The Chicken bbq was eh, had no flavor had to but teriyaki sauce to make it taste better. The loco moco, ok so the loco moco comes with 2 hamburger patties, 2 fried eggs, mac salad, and rice. Well the hamburger patties were very thin and there was a hair in it. I literally pulled the hair out of my mouth. EWWWW and GROSSSSS!!! The eggs were black, in other words their grill was dirty. When we asked for new eggs the guy said it’s the grill. Yes sir the grill is dirty that’s why we didn’t eat it. So, when he comes back he comes back with only 1 fried egg not two. The mac salad had way too much mayo and it wasn’t true Hawaiian mac salad. The rice wasn’t good as well. They are very stingy on their sauces and the service wasn’t that great. Needless to say I will not be returning to this location in future.

I love this place. From the second you walk in you’re hit with an aroma of the food cooking with smells that will make you hungry instantly. Then when you get to order your food and the customer service there is on point. I feel Like a V.I.P when I order there. They’re very accommodating. Then comes the food. The food there is cooked in a reasonable amount of time. The chicken is juicy and cooked to perfection, the rice there is sticky, and very filling. The katsu is cooked very well as well. The best part about l&l is that their prices are cheep. I feel very confident buying from them again.

Ew this place is disgusting! We love L&L bbq but this location is so bad! Their food tastes nothing like the other locations and they don’t even have Hawaiians cooking the food! Everything was SO wrong even the epic macaroni salad didn’t taste wrong n had no flavor. The mushubi spam roll was so cheapo and was the thinnest, smallest piece of spam ever! It was all rice. The katsu was ok but hardly any chicken inside the fried batter… save ur money it was such a waste of ours! DONOT eat here!

The food was good here once upon a time. Now it just sucks and makes people sick. Been going there for a while but the last 2 – 3 times we’ve gotten sick. The Dude in the front(owner/Manager idk but he’s always there) only has one facial expression and looks like he hates everyone that walks in. I’ll be driving further and avoiding this spot like the plague. P.S. If you do eat here, I hope no one is in the restroom when you’re done eating… As you probably won’t make it in time.

The food is whatever! The customer service boy, Let me tell you. Not sure why you are working at a job that you are so unhappy at! I mean this man was the most unpleasant man to deal with. Please upgrade the venue. It’s old and dirty, at least keep up with the restaurant, I can only imagine how the food really is and the area it’s prepped in. THECHICKENHADNOFLAVOR!

The food is actually good here. Its too bad the service sucks. The worst thing about it, is the owner and his rude family members make you feel like they’re above you making no effort to greet you or thank you. Instead they give you angry looks and hurry you to order. Until they shape up in service this place will always be one star. One last thing, they need to clean a bit more. The floors are sticky and the place needs a good scrubbing. Finally they need to stop being cheap and stop charging for extra Katsu sauce.

Yum I like this place! Definitely not as good as ONO but meh! It’ll do! I’ve only had the grilled teriyaki chicken plate because the Katsu chicken looks too dark for me at this location. Teriyaki chicken is good! They give you 3 huge pieces of it over cabbage, along with a side of macaroni salad and white rice. The Mac salad is your typical overloaded with mayo stuff you get at any Hawaiian spot… I love that ish! Mayo is my middle name! Gross right? ;) The rice is good. And the cabbage is crunchy. Top it all off with a massive amount of Sriracha and voila! Dinner is served!
