Art has many different faces from traditional to graphic and now digital. It has always fascinated and given inspiration to young children as well as adults. An art studio traditionally has been a place of ideas and creativity giving everyone an opportunity to be an artist no matter what level of expertise they may have. The idea behind Dropcloth is to offer an open canvas to people looking to find creativity and expand their knowledge of art. Our aim and goal at Dropcloth is to provide a working art studio to the community of Pico Rivera and its surrounding communities and teach creativity which is something that in my opinion needs to be an intricate part of our communities. Studies have shown that A well-rounded educational experience that includes the arts is closely linked to academic achievement, social and emotional development, civic engagement, and equitable opportunity.
Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner
Hello my name is Edwin Gomez I have been in the animation industry and art teaching field for the last 10 plus years. My work is highly influenced by my environment the inner city where I grew up in (Boyle Heights, East Los Angeles, South Los Angeles) as well as the work by such artists as: Yuri Norstien, Bob Clampet, Chuck Jones, Al Hirschfield, Bruce Timm, Shane Glines, and Eric Goldberg just to name a few. I believe that as an artist we should see change and evolution in everything thing we do in our artistic careers, and only through life experiences can we begin to create story driven art.
