I had been struggling for years on my memoir and I was stuck. I felt like it was close to being finished, but I didn’t know what to do to make it better.

I knew Ashley from the self-​publishing community and I had read and liked her novel, so I looked her up for editing. I hired her for the Editorial Review, a useful and unique service where she gives story-​level advice on character, pacing, language choice and general readability.
I was amazed at the feedback Ashley gave me. All of her suggestions were spot on and helped me see my work in a new light. She was very thorough, offering point-​by-​point advice as well as a 4-​page summary of her suggestions. She pulled no punches when she saw things that needed improvement, but she was also compassionate and encouraging with areas she liked.
After seeing what Ashley does with the Editorial Review, both in content and quick turnaround time, I will be hiring her for copyediting and proofreading. She has gained my trust completely and I think any writer would benefit from her attention to detail, incisive commentary and clear communication.

Finding an editor can be daunting, and finding someone who not only is invested in your project but is also easy on your budget can feel impossible.
