The Apartment Movers

Don’t use them!!! They called less than 24 hours before our move and canceled. We have been booked for over 3 weeks. They said they did not have the staff to move us and did not have any options. It left us scrambling last minute to find other movers. They guy on the phone was not helpful and a jerk and acted like it should be no big deal to just wait a week to move.

Until today, I had never hired movers before. I figured I’d give it a shot (seemed super convenient), but admittedly… I didn’t do a lot of research first. I should have.
I decided to go with The Apartment Movers, for no other reason than they were one of the first results returned on my Google search. I called two days ahead of my moving date, requested a quote (turns out they’re pretty cheap) and made an appointment. To the company’s credit: The customer service rep was polite, professional and did an excellent job setting everything up. I felt good about it… no red flags at all.
I was quoted for a «morning» move, which (I was told) could be anytime from 7AM to noon… so of course I was up and ready to go at 7AM!
Around 10:30 AM (since nobody had called or shown up), I called dispatch to try to pin down an ETA. The dispatcher said that my movers were finishing up another move, and that I was looking at another hour and a half (around noon) before they showed up. She assured me that they would call when they were on their way. Cool.
By 3PM, they STILL had not shown up. I called back, and again… I was assured that they would be on their way shortly, and that they would call me when they were 30 minutes out.
By 6PM (!!!), I was getting really nervous (still no phone call) and started to search for a different moving company. In desperation, I started loading my car up with whatever would fit. As I was walking back up to my apartment for more stuff, I saw a truck round the corner. They had finally arrived! I waived them down, and as they drove up, one of them rolled down the window and shouted: «Hey, we were wondering if maybe we could do this tomorrow morning instead.» I was shocked. I explained that I needed it done today, as I had to be out of the apartment.
These two men were BEYOND exhausted. One of them was NOT in shape… he was definitely not in any condition to be lifting anything… and as a result, my furniture took a beating. They haphazardly packed my stuff into the back of their truck, whining and complaining the entire time. About everything. The unload was even worse.
In summary, the actual «moving day» experience with The Apartment Movers was nothing but a stressful, disorganized nightmare. The movers didn’t respect my stuff, packed the truck in ways that didn’t make any sense and made me feel like my move was SUCH a burden. For the sake of your sanity and your stuff, find a different moving company!

I used them several years ago twice and didn’t have any complaints this is why I didn’t come and read new reviews WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE! Hired them recently through their home base in texas for a dear friend of mine who was moving from one apartment to another apartment about 15min away from each other her place was completely packed and ready to go was told they would arrive between 7am and 9am and they decided to show up at 12:30am the next morning. What moving company thinks its a good idea to show up for a move 15hrs late? Had i been in town at the time of my friends move this company would have been turned away, bad enough one of the men thought it would be a great idea for my friend to call me at 1am to try and say they needed this move to be a CASH ONLY move, after i was assured a few days prior that i could pay with my debt card after the move was done and i had spoken to my friend to make sure it went smooth they were to call me First to get my approval to charge my card. But have a several social media outlets with many followers that know I’m big on giving GOOD or BAD businesses either amazing shoot outs and promote them or tell my world wide followers all the bad things a business has done Im known for doing this all the time I will not stand by and let this moving company lie and cheat anymore hard working unsuspecting people! SHAME ON YOU APARTMENT MOVERS!

First I called to book them on Thursday and no one showed up. I called and the lady scheduled me for the wrong day. They promised they would be out by 9pm that night. They NEVER showed up. I called for a refund and they claimed they tried to reschedule me because it would have been impossible to move me that night and I refused rescheduling. Now they are failing to process my refund. Do Not Use Them!

Let me start by saying the pricing will make Apartment Movers very enticing! However, if you have possessions that you value, furniture that you like unscarred, or breakable items of any kind these are not your guys!
Every box we had was tossed haphazardly around as they were moved, regardless of fragile labels. Our leather couch was torn, and our book shelves scraped.
The cherry on the Sunday was that after finding the damage after the drop there was no one answering their phone today! I’ll update once we find out how the damage is handled. None the less, avoid these guys at all cost!

Made an appointment to move from phx to Tucson. I was scheduled to moved at 7 am. Levi the manager called at 8 am to tell me they got a flat tire and would run an hour late. Around 9am he called again that he would be there in a couple hours. He called me back at 12 noon and said again that he would be there a little over an hour. It 2 pm already and no call yet. Around 3 pm he called and said he’s sending someone over already. They showed up at 4 pm with a pick up truck and a trailer. Too small for my stuff that I told them I’m gonna be moving. The driver didn’t even know the plan that I am moving to Tucson which is 2 hours away and that we’re doing 2 stops. So he refused to start the move. He said he will call his boss which is Levi but he’s not answering. I called their company office and said what happened. I told them I just want my deposit back because they broke their contract with me. My husband missed his work and I’m about to go to labor because of stress. Their office said they will call me at 6 pm. 6:05 pm I called their office but it’s closed already. Called Levi but no answer. Next day they kept calling me what time they should come To start moving. Why would I trust them to move my stuff? Very frustrating and unprofessional. If you don’t want to mistreated don’t use this company at all. They were calling me like nothing was happened the night before. They said they can’t give my money back and has to work it out. But the contract states I was supposed to move Friday June 27, 2015 at 7 am. Because this move will take the whole day since it’s a 2 hours drive to Tucson. I would report this to BBB and attorney general.

This company don’t even deserve a star! The worst moving company in the world! We booked our move with them on Friday, nobody show up or call us! We called countless times & at the end of the day, Levi the manager called said that they will rescheduled the move on the next day, on Saturday at 7am!!! Guess what happen? Again nobody show up not until 2pm! Don’t you ever hire movers from this company or do any business with them! Levi the manager is the biggest liar in the world! This company should be shut down & get a law suit!

DONT EVER USE THEM!!! I called and had them set up to come out and move my apartment on 04÷25÷15 between 7am-​noon they never showed up so I called they said sorry running a little late we need two more hours. Two hours later they never showed up called again oh we need an hour and 45 more nothing still oh just 30 more mins and I spoke to a manger every time who didn’t care about the issues put is they never came they just kept pushing out the time till they closed and we could speak to anyone anymore around 8pm the driver called and said sorry that dispatch canceled the move and he would come out in 40 mins but never showed up and shut off his phone so I called Sunday (today) and the manager could care less and said well we don’t have any movers available today so we suggest you just go with another company… SAVE YOURSELF THE STRESS AND DONT USE THEM… If you speak with Rudy or Amanda know your in trouble because they are no help as managers

If you are searching for the worst moving company possible, this your company. I booked a move with them scheduled for 7AM on August 29, 2014. When they were not there by 9AM I called the company. They claimed that several of their employees had walked off the job but they would be there soon. When they didn’t show by 10AM I called again and was put on hold for 20 minutes. This process continued for four more telephone conversations where I was continuously placed on hold. Finally at 3PM I began calling other moving companies and was lucky to find one to make the move. I had to be out of my unit on the 29^th. I checked with the Better Business Bureau and the company has a «F» rating. My problem for not checking in advance. Don’t make it your problem. The «Original Apartment Movers»” were an outstanding choice for our move. Moving is never easy but the crew members were smart, efficient, and hard working. No smoke breaks, complaining or excessive talking. I would like to mention the excellent team members: Jeremy, Phil, Randall, also the lovely women that came to assist them.
