History
Established in 2013.
Kettle Heroes was founded by Aaron and Rudi Sinykin – two brothers looking to make a small difference in the local Phoenix community. Corporate social responsibility was and continues to be an innate value of the company and is demonstrated by the founders resolution to always donate 20% of the company’s net profits to local charities, causes, and schools.
The Kettle Heroes logo, recipes, and business model were fine-tuned during the summer of 2013 and the first custom-designed and –built kettle corn truck hit the streets of Phoenix in August.
By the end of 2013, the company operated a fleet of 13 food trucks and began to expand into the sales of retail packaged kettle corn.
Kettle Heroes Original and Cayenne Lime Kettle Corn can now be found in 21 Bashas’ grocery stores and 5 AJ’s Fine Foods Markets as well as the Gilbert Farmer’s Market every Saturday morning.
Meet the Business Owner
Rudi S.
Business Owner
Rudi runs the day-to-day operations of Kettle Heroes, from popping and packaging fresh kettle corn to new product development and marketing support. After completing his B.A. in Latin American Studies and Spanish from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA, Rudi learned the ins and outs of brand and product management from the gurus at Newell Rubbermaid. He first served as a Field Marketing Rep at Sanford Pen Company before working as a Product Manager for Rubbermaid Home Products, then located in Wooster, OH. Rekindling his love for Latin culture, he spent two years living and studying in Barcelona, Spain, where he completed his MBA from ESADE Business School in 2008. Returning to the States, he joined forces with his brother Aaron and became a Subway franchisee. He helped to manage and grow the business, before the team sold their stores in the summer of 2013 to create Kettle Heroes.
