Dr. Blankenbaker (chiropractic physician since 1974) was the first in Arizona (1994) to install the VAXD (vertebral axial decompression device) developed by Allan E. Dyer, Ph.D., M.D. Dr. Blankenbaker can be called the Godfather of Spinal Decompression, which has been adopted by chiropractors and spine doctors all over the state. Spine & Disc uses MedX exercise machines, power plate exercise machines and pulse electromagnetic therapy (PEMFT) to deliver relief and results to our clients.

The SPINEdex Back System is a combination of MedX, a medical testing and rehabilitation device that is used to strengthen the muscles that support the spine, and VAX-​D (Vertebral Axial Decompression) which is used to decompress spinal disc pathology. Dr. Blankenbaker (Chiropractic Physician since 1974) was the first to install the MedX Lumbar and Cervical Extension Machines (1989) in Arizona. Dr. Blankenbaker was also the first in Arizona (1995) to install VAX-​D.

VAX-​D is a Class II medical device cleared by the FDA. VAX-​D is considered the gold standard for non-​surgical treatment for chronic and persistent lower back pain. VAX-​D is the only proven alternative to spine surgery. The combination of VAX-​D and MedX treatments are effective and safe procedures without the risks associated with drugs, surgery, injections or anesthesia.
