Red Hut Coffee

This place introduced me to dirty chai! Can’t thank you enough. Today I’m enjoying one on the house after filling up my 10-​punch card. Convenient location, great coffee, and friendly service. They could step it up in the pastry department but the coffee makes up for it!

Stopped in yesterday around 8, had myself an amazing dirty chai. Love this place, so delicious, so fast, so friendly, so upbeat. Huge fan of the French music it’s a lot of fun. I’m always in a hurry and don’t always have time to stop in for outstanding coffee, (that iced coffee is delicious with just a little cream) but when I do its on!!! It was busy and the 2 girls at the counter rocked it out, made sure each and every one of us customers was cared for. just a simple joke which makes everything so much better, awesome job red hut, keep it up. Love this place. MMMMM I want another dirty chai!!!

I had a hazelnut latte and blueberry scone. Delicious! Clean place friendly staff! Great jazzy tunes playing!

I’m giving Red Hut 5 stars. It is conveniently located at 7^th Street & Roosevelt. (They’re a local small business.) They are open early and have bright, cheery staff. I’ve been happy with my orders every time I’ve placed them. On really early mornings when I need a bit of a boost, I order a large almond-​milk latte with an extra shot and extra sugar-​free vanilla syrup. I’ve even had some of their quick breakfast foods which are just fine, too. I think it’s great you can tip them with a card payment. Red Hut can be on the pricy side, but they serve high quality coffee and grind the beans fresh each morning. Plus, they offer a Buy-​Ten-​Get-​One-​FREE punch card.
I like them A LATTE!

I’m new to working in the downtown Phoenix area. For weeks I’d seen a happy fella waving at me with a big sign flagging cars into Red Hut. He’s there EVERY day. Having beat the traffic one day and arriving downtown early, I decided to treat myself to a latte. It was delicious.
I love this place. It was clean, the service was great and the staff friendly. I’ve stopped there several times and I get the same quality service. It was fast in and out and when you’re on a schedule it’s perfect. I’m yet to try a breakfast sandwich but that’s next in my list.
I think what I like most is the guy with the sign. Even when I don’t stop, he waves and smiles. Maybe he does that to all cars, but I think he saves a special wave and smile for me. Great work happy fella!

I had a basic latte and the salted caramel oatmeal, amazing! Will definitely be back.

Stopped in this morning, I was actually on my way to a different coffee shop nearby but decided to try this place out. I’m happy I did because I think I found a new regular spot.
I got an iced caramel macchiato, and I loved it! To me, it had the perfect balance of espresso and caramel flavor. (Side note: I love when you take your first sip and you get those bits of caramel that sink to the bottom… yum!) The caramel was super sweet, but in a good way, not in the McDonald’s or Starbucks overly-​candy-​sweet kind of way.
It was just after 7am when I got there, and they seemed to really jump into a rush around 7:30, so I got there just in time… so if you are going in the morning I would say the earlier the better. They open at 6am during the week so they actually open sooner than some of the other coffee shops on Roosevelt. The place is super clean, pretty good size for a coffee shop, and the people behind the counter were very friendly.

I’ve been here many times, mostly during first friday when it’s incredibly busy, and despite the crowds I’ve always had good, quick service. However I just went in today and got the green tea frape and there was a hair in it! I went to the counter to let someone know but nobody was behind the counter and I didn’t see anyone who worked anywhere around, so I ended up just throwing the drink away and leaving very disappointed. Especially after paying over $ 6 including a $ 2 tip

Another great coffee shop in central Phoenix! We stopped in this weekend for a sweet treat and really enjoyed the relaxed environment and the friendly staff. I tried the pomegranate raspberry sorbet and loved it… so refreshing and tasty! Next time I will stop in for an Italian soda… great flavor choices!

Stopped in for some coffee last week and have been every weekday since. Everything I’ve had here is good. Would pick this place over Starbucks any day of the week.
So far I’ve tried the Raspberry Mocha and peanut butter Mocha, both awesome!

Very quiet large space. I stopped by one afternoon to kill time and surprisingly there was no one else there! I’ve had both a vanilla latte and chai from there and both were delicious. I love the fact that they have a punchcard. And they ask for your punchcard they don’t just expect you to remember!

I really like the coffee and the atmosphere. The coffee has a good flavor and nice aftertaste. It is strong and not too bitter. Well roasted. I am a fan of the FoamAroma lid they use, because it allows the aroma to be experienced with out removing the lid. It also contains the coffee without spilling.

Being someone who is gluten free I generally know what I can and can’t eat. I came into red hut asking what was gluten free. Most coffee things are but I’ve gotten sick from coffee places before so I always ask. The barista said he didn’t know what gluten is, not and what did or didn’t have gluten. I’m sorry, but an employee of a restaurant should have a basic knowledge of basic allergens. I know they don’t advertise being gluten free, but I’ve had places hand me syrups and ask, not tell me I can’t get anything. Very disappointed in this visit.
I can usually find something somewhere. I’m pretty flexible, but if the barista who’s job it is to help isn’t helpful then I’m stuck. I left with nothing

This is my go to spot when I want to wind down while sipping caffeine. I know, don’t judge me.
This place is always clean, the staff and owner are friendly, the chilled peppermint/​chocolate frap should probably come with health warnings it’s so good!
I’ve also ordered most of the flavored teas, and eaten 2 lbs of the pomegranate yogurt (not in one seating) and I’ve never been disappointed.
One thing that is disappointing: I bought one of the beverage drink cups and after only a few uses it loses its clearness and becomes cloudy. You know how plastic containers look after you’ve put tomato sauce in it? This is how the cup looks now.

Why do I love Unilocal?For opportunities to highlight great service. Last time I ordered a delicious smoothie, and now I ordered my typical oatmeal and soy chai latte. Actually, I take that back. They have some amazing flavors, as a result, I had to check out the peanut butter mocha latte. It is not overly sweet. You can definitely smell the peanut butter, but the flavor is very subtle complimenting the mocha. Would I order it again? Maybe, but nothing beats my soy chai, which I will have to try out another time.
Now the service. I was welcomed by Dave who gave me great recommendations on drinks and even the oatmeal. He was funny, knowledgeable, and took a genuine care in his business. Even after I sat down, he checked up on how my oatmeal was. Great service, which is why I had to bump up to 5 stars. In addition, the latte I had was unique, but tasty and light.
I have been here for about 30 minutes, and here is what I have enjoyed thus far:
1. Frank Sinatra soothing the speakers.
2. The open seating and huge parking lot.
3. The décor and chill ambience.
4. The big but clean looking menu.
5. They really have fro yo here?
6. The steady flow of customers, and Dave striking a conversation with them.
7. Efficient service.
I will definitely be back this summer before school starts to enjoy a good coffee, oatmeal, and great service! Great job Red Hut!

I dropped in here 15 minutes before they were closing on a Saturday night looking for some caffeine to keep me up while I worked for a few hours that night. The guy working was very nice and personable. Dropping in 15 minutes before close some employees may not be in the happiest mood of a late night customer but this guy was very nice and welcoming.
I ordered a 20oz toddy and it was pretty good! I have tried a lot of toddy from different shops around town and the cold brew from this shop is tasty.
Great coffee from a great shop! Give it a try!

Tried this coffee house for first time this morning en route to work.
Love the fact that they do offer a drive-​thru (especially during warmer months), and have a friendly staffer waving to traffic every single morning as I speed down 7^th Street. ‘
So, I park in front, and a man opens the door for me and wishes me a good morning and a «thanks for stopping». All eyes on me as I approach the counter *pressure on Erin*. More kudos and positive reinforcement from staffers for ordering an Iced Vanilla Latte and chocolate cream-​cheese muffin. Yikes.
Payment was a breeze, as they offer e-​receipts from their iPad!
The tall man behind the counter advised me to taste the drink before deploying to make sure it was «just right». Again, eyeballs on me as I nervously sipped. Thank God it was great! Whew. I smile and praise them for the drink quality.
As my way out, more «Good Days» and «Thank you».
While I LOVE nice staff members, etc., sometimes TOO much of a good thing is overwhelming. :(I wouldn’t have been surprised if multi-​colored confetti be tossed at me upon my exit. Doing it right guys, just reel in the customer service a tad.

What a great place. First I love the area. I ordered a large iced Americano with a pump of white mocha. It’s fabulous! The espresso they use is local and very tasty.
The owner was there and available to talk to. He’s very personable and knowledgable about coffee. I also got a banana but muffin and it’s the perfect size and tastes amazing!

I am in a dilemma, I like the coffee, but the service and friendliness really puts them up there.
The coffee/​espresso/​ice toddy are all amazing and very very consistent. Consistency is one of the most important traits of a coffee house you go to. If drinks are made differently all the time you don’t know what you are walking into and what to ask for and how to customize it to your perfect specifications.
I enjoy this place because i have gotten the same few drinks here and it is always the same tasting. YAY for coffee conistency. One thing that is good that getting a dirty chai, the dirtiness comes free (or thats what the one barista told me) maybe he likes my smile thats why, but hey I LOVE getting an extra shot, or two in my drink.
I have not tried their yogurt, i still wonder if it is any good.
Good thing about this coffee house if you go to study/​do work don’t worry about the noise level or distractions. It has decent amount of foot traffic for their business, but not too much where you are too distracted. music could be turned down a little bit. Baristas mind their own business, but if you want to talk they are more than happy to talk with you. Which to be honest is a great trait to have.
They are super friendly. Would be back more often if it was closer. Too bad i didn’t know about them when i worked down there.
