Extremely happy with the extention application that AnaMaurie did for me. The color matched my hair perfectly and I have received so many amazing complinents. I will definitely be coming back!

Public Image was an awesome experience! I loved the whole vibe of the environment, and the staff was amazing and friendly. They have hair dressers, barbers, nail tech, and even a massage therapist! One place for all of the amenities! I have been seeing my hair dresser, Kim Sanchez, for over 10 years now, and she knows exactly how to treat my extremely curly hair! Will be returning very soon and recommended.

Walked in not expecting to get the hair cut of my dreams! Anamaurie is amazing and super sweet! She had the right amount of focus and attention to detail when it came to my bob. Now I know where I’m coming for cuts every tin I’m in the Phoenix area! She also gave me new client price of $ 30 for cut and style. Thank you!

This has all the makings of a great salon; location, interior and marketing, but it is not. The stylists look like Abercrombie sales assistants with fresh ink & dyed blue hair, wearing Wetseal clothes, just plain wrong, just trying too hard because they have come in from the West Valley & are trying to be ‘cool’.
The review below is pretty long, so the short of is that if you want something basic and don’t mind listening to how the ‘integrity of hair’ would be compromised after the colorist messes up 3 times then go for it. If you want to hang out in a place that is disjointed and where most of the stylists go part time whilst working in other salons and where the stylists talk amongst themselves continually then do it. However if anything does go wrong you have limited recourse, it will be your fault. t
My main issue with this place is that there is no structure, each stylist pays for a chair which I know is pretty common however there doesn’t seem to be a management structure. I came in December after meeting the stylists on first Friday. I explained first off that my hair is pretty dark and tends to go red or ginger if the colorist doesn’t tone it properly. The stylist Ana-​Marie assured me that she is a ‘master stylist’ and understands exactly. I go in that Monday and asked for my hair to be toned and roots lightened, I explained that my hair used to be almost white Ash blonde (when it was still a thing) & didn’t want anymore bleach. Let’s just say I left 6 hours later with with dark brown hair with red bits. I thought I was being paranoid until my husband, friends and girls in the office said my hair was red. I called Ana-​Marie to give her a chance to fix it. She asked for a photo of what I want, I sent 3, she texted me that it was totally doable. So another day, bleach and I came out with black hair, some blonde bits and red bits. I said on the day I didn’t like it, I was told it would settle it didn’t. I sent the photo of my hair next to the photo of what I asked for, it looked like a Pinterest fail. It took phoning the salon to get a reply from the stylist, and then because I complained I got the whole ‘integrity of hair’ bs again, and that it seems I won’t be happy if my hair had red in it! Yes I know, my main and only real request. So you know. I got a partial refund. I’m sure there are good stylists there and I only dealt with 2 of them, just they ruined the whole experience with their customer service. I want to shop local and I am very loyal, I understand that people make mistakes and that is why I agreed on a redo and paid for the privilege. I

This place isn’t all it’s made out to be, less is more! I will never ever do business with this place the owner guy with the dreads can’t even remember his name, I initially went in to purchase hair product Vaughn 76 I normally get my haircuts down the street at Roosevelt Barber shop but he insisted on giving me a haircut that he’d give me a clean up. I should’ve gone with my gut I don’t like getting my haircut by «salons» because it always ends up bad but this place takes the number 1 spot of places I’ve ever received a haircut he left me with a bald spot on the top of my head I don’t know how this place is in business. If you guys are looking for great barber check out Roosevelt Barbershop it’s down the street!

I got a bayalage from Jonathan yesterday. He did an amazing job on the color and blew out my naturally curly hair. All in all it was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend him.

Kylie gave me the best haircut and color! I’m never disappointed in her work. She’s extremely talented and the best hairstylist in my opinion! I have curly hair that I straighten too, and she cuts my hair in such a way that makes it look amazing both ways. She is very in tune to exactly what I want done with my hair and I always feel even more beautiful when I leave her chair!

I love this salon. It is so open with a comfortably relaxing atmosphere. And, Haley is there. Creative stylist! She will make you look and feel absolutely fabulous!

I absolutely love this place! The salon itself is very modern and contemporary. My stylist Kylie never seizes to amaze me! She always hooks my hair up and makes me look absolutely fabulous. Whether I want a crazy colorful do or a classic sleeked one tone color she always works with me to achieve perfection! There is nothing this girl can’t do. Overall, great salon with awesome vibes and awesome stylists!

Never have I ever seen hair done so amazing! The way they do hair is so organized and beautiful. I always feel welcomed and at home the second that I walk through the door. Kylie did my hair when I went in, and I have to say, I have never been more satisfied in my life.

I go to Sydney to get my nails done at Public Image. She is funny, personable and her pricing is great. She always does a great job, exactly what I ask for and she is quick! The salon itself has a really nice, open and modern vibe. Its glass-​fronted, with huge windows, which feels really open and its fun to people watch. I love the natural light. Oh, and parking is available and easy, hooray!

April did my hair today and cut and shampoo! Best hair I have ever had. She turned my black hair that new fresh silver. Didn’t even think it was possible but she came through. Also the atmosphere is awesome. Must go and try it for your self

What a cool & funky addition to Roosevelt Row! This place is not just a barber shop, but a full service salon. My stylist, Kim, ROCKS! She always takes great care of me. From the time you walk in, you feel like you are among friends. I have found my style home.
I haven’t tried all the services yet, but they offer skin care, massage, makeup application and nails. Next time, I will make more time for the Style Tribe at Public Image. I look forward to my next visit!

This is a kick-​a$$ barber shop! Daryl will take great care of your melon. I have to admit a small degree of skepticism since I love a good barber shop, and this place has a hipper vibe than I’m used to, but that was all gone when I got in the chair. Cool location with cool art and a hip vibe. But most importantly — you’ll get a great cut (and a clean shave if you want it).
