Established in 1910.

Phoenix Tent and Awning Company began business in the year 1910 … that’s two years before Arizona even became a state! And it’s hard to believe, but we recently celebrated the company’s 100^th Anniversary!

As we all know, shade is vital here in the Valley of the Sun, so awnings and shade canopies have always been our main business. When you look at pictures of downtown Phoenix from the early 1900’s you can’t help but notice the awnings on all the storefronts; most of whom were our customers.

In 1933, the company obtained its first license from the Arizona Registrar of Contractors. We recently confirmed with the Registrar that not only has there never been a complaint filed against our license (in over 75 years), but that we are also the oldest active licensed contractor in Arizona. We also maintain an A+ Rating with the Better Business Bureau.
